Happy boys

I simply called to check if they carried my dogs' food brand, we just moved to Mammoth. He said he didn't have it but would hang up with me and call the supplier to see if they could add a couple bags to keep on the shelf for me! Michael was so helpful he called me back by the end of the day to let me know that he had the food arriving for me in two days! A real life hero! Thank you, you have a new regular customer in me and my pupper dos!

I am from out of town but needed to stop by for a jacket for my dog since it was snowing. We were walking a lot outside and his back was getting wet. I walked into Mammoth pet shop and was immediately greeted. They ask us what we were looking for and the gentleman showed us not only where the jackets were but went over the different options and showed us the details of each one. Service is top notch and would recommend them 100%. Small businesses like this are what I believe makes shopping better. Thank you to the gentleman for helping. The jacket was perfect, my dog had an amazing time after!

On our first day in Mammoth, our dog seemed to have an ear irritation. He kept shaking his head and scratching his ear. We headed over to this pet shop and were immediately greeted upon entering the store. The employee helping us was extremely helpful and made light conversation about our dog. This store was clean and offered a variety of products including pets like lizards, chinchillas, frogs, etc.).

They are loving the dog bath, I am loving having clean dogs again!

Great store! We camp in the Eastern Sierras every summer. The dogs get pretty dirty. I found out about the self serve dog wash on a local radio station. It is fantastic. I was offered several shampoo choices and everything was included, even an apron so I didn't get soaked. They have a large dog food selection and they carry Taste of the Wild, which is what I feed my two puppies. Sometimes it can be pretty hard to find, but this store has all the flavors. Check this store out! It has a lot to offer the traveling or camping family's pets.

Nacho looks great in his new harness and leash!

What a great store! Super knowledgeable and sweet! We walked in felt super welcomed! We were there for the weekend and needed some booties for the cold and a new harness and leash! Not only did we get a good lesson on fitting our dog with the right harness but learned a ton just in our 20 min visit! I wish we had a shop like this back where I live! Best raw food selection and great selection of treats! Will definitely trust them with my dogs accessories and needs everytime I'm in town!

Great gear, advice and treats to make our vacation with Sora enjoyable!

We love this pet store. The staff are helpful, knowledgeable and self-service dog wash is much needed after a day hiking with our puppy. I highly recommend a visit if you need food, gear or advice on outings that include members of your fur family.

LOVE my new glow fish! Yay!!!

We feed our dog primal food, specifically "Vital Essentials". Place is well equipped, and has everything a pet needs.

If I could give her 10 stars I definitely would. I got photos texted to me of my baby Margo in the snow and playing by the creek. Betty Jo took also took her out on multiple walks. Margo also enjoyed a trip to the local pet shop, Tailwaggers! I picked my baby up around 4pm and judging from how tired and mellow she was when I arrived, it was clear that she had an amazing time in Betty Jo's care. This was my first time bringing my pup to mammoth with me. I almost didn't bring her just because I wasn't sure how to arrange for her to be cared for while I hit the slopes. But Having found Betty Jo really put me at ease and now I look forward to planning the next trip up to mammoth with my pup!

We loved getting updates and pictures throughout the day and knew RoRo had a great time with Betty Jo from how relaxed and happy she was when we picked her up. On her second day, RoRo went running to Betty Jo with tail wagging like she was a beloved family member and had a great time hanging out with her new buddy Echo. We are so happy to have a wonderful place to leave our baby girl when visiting Mammoth.

Ace Hardware, Oakhurst: 2026 (5 of 5)…read more Ace Hardware in Oakhurst is looking good. The store features a clean, spacious layout. It's easy to locate the items you need with their hanging signs. Even their customer service went up a couple of notches. The overhead interior lighting is soft and warm without any harsh glare. The aisles welcome you with wide paths, making it easy to move around. The exterior boasts of well thought out displays of plants that welcomes you before you even step into the store. Overall, this store has come a long way - towards a positive vibe.

As I looked around, I realized that this is definitely where a lot of Yosemite residents shop, because I recognized so many unique items. I ended up getting a Christmas cactus-- not a technical Christmas cactus, but a mini pipe cactus with little bells for hats. I also picked up a ceramic baking dish and a ceramic cat. There were so many items that I wished I could buy, or might have bought if I were decorating an entire apartment from scratch. I noticed that they had some really cute Tiffany style lamps, including one shaped like a rooster. They also had some really cool upcycled steampunk lamps. What I love about Ace is how the local/home goods section varies so much from city to city. They had so many items tailored to the Yosemite area. For example, they had wannabe Stanley cups that said "The Real Housewives of" either Mariposa, Oakhurst, Coarsegold, or Ahwahnee. Whoever curates the merchandise for this side of the store is really good at their job. Customer service was good. I tried to ask a hardware associate if they had any air plants, which resulted in him learning what an air plant is. This is a direct quote: "I never even knew these existed." LOL. The girls up front had heard of them, and directed me to the set of 5 they were selling for $50, which was just not what I wanted. As I walked around the plant section, I couldn't help but notice that many of them were in terrible shape. Some of the plants were so badly decomposing that I could smell them from at least six feet away. Any plant that smells like old vomit is a plant that needs to be immediately separated from all the other plants and disposed of. But there were a couple dozen. I wondered if maybe they just don't have any employees who like to garden. (Note that my cactus came from a pallet by the registers which had just been received, and was nowhere near the sick plants.) Other than the disturbingly sick indoor plants, this was a good experience. They had so much cute, quirky stuff. I'll probably definitely come back again.
