Broken blinds just left hanging
Rachel B.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. We stayed in unit 103. All I can say is RUN RUN RUN from this Place. The moment we step foot in this unit, there was an awful smell, the slider door was broken, it was dirty, there was hair in the corners of the bathroom floor, the shower heads looked like they never were cleaned. The hot water runs out after a very short shower. We tried airing out the condo in 30° weather, which didn't get rid of the smell. They did come fix the slider door. There is no attention to cleanliness in this unit. We brought this to the attention of the property manager and they offered us a refund of the 3 nights we did not stay. They also offered us another unit, so we looked at it, total ghetto apartment neighborhood! Neighbors above were yelling. So we took them up on their offer of a refund of the 3 nights we did not stay. Long story short they only gave us 2 nights refund even though they Said we would get 3 night refund. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. It was dirty and the property manager lied to us. This was our 1st time visiting mammoth & it was a horrible experience. We ended up driving 6 hours back home since there was nothing else available to stay the night. In total, 12 hours of driving to stay 1 night. Thanks Mammoth Estates and Red Awning property management!!!!!

Unit 211
M R.

I can only speak of unit 211. As a group we have stayed at the village and picked this place because it was about $1000 cheaper. We knew we would give up a little on location for the price. The location was ok. Easily within walking distance to the Village. Mind you though it was not snowing during our trip. Snowing and freezing at 1am on the walk up the hill would probably be a different story. The unit we had was not updated except for the kitchen. The rest of the unit looks as if it hasn't been touched since the early 80's. I posted photos of the unit. If you are a group of 20 year olds looking to save money this is your unit. Anyone whom is used to 3 stars or above, look on.

The team is professional, responsive, and genuinely caring. They handled everything seamlessly--from the lease agreement and check-in to maintenance requests and the check-out process--which allowed us to fully relax and enjoy the ski season without any stress. A heartfelt thank you to Emily, Valerie, Harry, Jerrica, and the entire Blizzard Property Management team in Mammoth!

I knew I…read morewasn't going up there from Los Angeles for the next year so renting it long-term seemed to be the way to go. My realtor suggested Blizzard Property Management. I assumed very much like most things in life, my expectation was a grueling, tooth-pulling, and difficult proposition. Well, I was in for a surprise. Jerrica, my representative found a potential renter within the first week. Unfortunately, that tenant didn't work out. My mortgage was due, and my brand-new condo was sitting idle. Jerrica put an end to my worries and the following week the condo was rented for 12 months. We had to give a little discount, and I was okay with that. Thereafter, they collected the rent like clockwork, and the rent was deposited as smoothly as a glass of Double Black Johnny Walker. I am extremely happy with Blizzard, especially Jerrica. They saved my condo and repaired my wrecked nerves.

Loved staying at #255 as it is next to the creek and it overlooks the mountains. Was very relaxing. Kitchen was fairly well stocked. Would definitely recommend bringing your own cutting board and knife. The glass cutting board will dull the knife after a few uses. We had to stay an extra night due to the unexpected hurricane that was to hit LA. Snowcreek was able to accommodate the extra night stay and gave us a generous discount as well. Kudos to Snowcreek for not taking advantage of a bad situation!!!! Definitely recommend!

Reviewing for 903 LINKS WAY…read more Second time staying at Snowcreek, I'm sure it won't be our last. We got a 2 bedroom condo for our party of 5. Parking was easy to find & the unit was conveniently located on the ground floor. Nice landing with hooks to hang our coats & stuff. Good size living room & dining area with sliding doors that open to the patio. The kitchen was well equipped with everything necessary to make nice meals. It even came with a welcome package of paper towels, dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent, & some kitchen towels. Freshly laundered towels were also provided. Small TV, WiFi included. Rooms are decorated just like any typical cabin would. Here's the thing, if you have a bad back... highly suggest you sleep in one of the (2) twin beds in the other bedroom. Those feel a little more firm than the master's which felt like sleeping on cotton candy. Haha. Futon pulls out into a bed, but we just moved the mattress to the floor since it was pretty worn out & you can feel the springs on your back. Dining chairs are wobbly. Just needs a little updating for comfort. Otherwise, we love it here.

Likes: Blu-ray Player in living room - We watched Frozen our first night here! Fully stocked kitchen - Dish washer, super nice fridge, coffee maker, plenty of pots and cooking utensils. Clean and usable hot tub - Nothing like taking a hot dip after a full day of shredding. Stereo system - Easy aux connection to bump tunes with your iPod or phone (without disturbing your neighbors of course). Quiet - I never head any noise from any of the other condos around us so sleeping at night was quite fantastic. Fireplace - Nothing like having a few logs burning while you're gathered around the living room watching TV or playing board games. I would stay here again without hesitation!

Mountainback at Mammoth offers cozy condominiums that are walking distance to Mammoth Mountain Ski Area's Canyon Lodge for convenient winter skiing/snowboarding. If you don't feel like walking, this complex is right on the Blue line bus transit (stop #51/52) for conveniently getting around the Mammoth Village area. You can also transfer to other bus lines that service the rest of the Mammoth area. The main office staff were really accommodating. The check-in time was originally at 4pm, but they let us check-in a couple hours earlier. This worked out in our favor because my friends and I were able to put down our stuff and head to the mountain for some afternoon skiing/snowboarding. According to their website, the premises also has a swimming pool, 6 jacuzzis, and a BBQ area. Me and a couple of friends stayed at condominium #111, which is located in Building 11. For more details on this property you can refer to this site: http://bit.ly/9H7eVG. It essentially had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. I really liked this unit because it was recently renovated and it had everything we needed to make it a comfortable stay. From in-room laundry to internet access to a full kitchen (stove/microwave/refrigerator/dishwasher) to a wood burning stove, this place had it all. Best of all, it had an awesome entertainment section. There was a huge LCD TV with PS2, Blue-ray player, and a huge collection of DVDs. YES, that's right a PS2 and a Blue-ray player!! This unit has perfect sleeping room for 6 adults. 2 people can sleep on the master bed, 2 people can sleep in the room with 2 twin beds, and 2 people can take the sofa couch. If you need extra blankets or pillows there are plenty in the closet spaces. Although there isn't a daily cleaning service like at a hotel, the complex offers daily towel changing service. If you don't want to use the towel changing service you can wash your own towels using the in-room washer and dryer. A three night stay turned out to be around $800. I would definitely come back here in the future. == A MUST TRY! ==

Now there are a handful of new online resources and homeowners renting themselves through generic property managers, but we always find our way back to the original Mammoth resource, MRB! The MRB reservation staff continue to remain professional, friendly and attentive to email responses. They are more personal and helpful when planning your trip. Their office is easy to spot even during snow storms. The key/check out system could use some updating, but we don't mind. We're patient people, but if you book the (older/charming) Snowcreek SC314 unit, make sure to ask if all the plumbing is working correctly. We arrived when the maintenance crew was still fixing the main toilet. Then we found out the master bedroom's toilet plug kept getting stuck and we had to lift the back tank and close the plug down after every flush. I reported this issue to the front desk after we checked out. The kitchen was quaint and decent, although it did not have a lot of utensils (particularly forks/spoons) or matching pot covers (we had to use our own foil at times. The appliances are dated, but they were all functioning properly, so that was good! Cabin 101: Bring your own sponge and extra rolls of paper towels and toilet paper! We were a party of 12, we probably should have brought disposable plates and eating utensils. Overall, we had a wonderful stay in this well-kept, cozy, charming, comfortable town home. Good recommendation for large groups and families on an o.k. budget.
