Ordered a pan con lechon and a vaca frita. Pan con lechon was on days old bread, very dry meat, no mojo crillo or sauce - awful. Maduros were perfect. Vaca frita was very dry and had a spoiled taste from age. We returned the Vaca frita. Horrible. Phone lady was awesome. Got a replacement sauteed chicken and garlic dish that was ok. Breaded chicken cutlets sauteed with a garlic sauce. Black beans were perfect. Not the worst, but not worthy of a second visit. The service was absolutely awful, it took 20 minutes for the waitress to come to the table and then when the food came, she dropped it off, making no eye contact and left. Unfortunately my order was wrong, but our waitress never came back until it came time to drop off the bill and none of the staff would make eye contact or pay attention to grab their attention to ask for some assistance. The food was alright, if it was what I ordered, maybe I would have enjoyed it more. My partner enjoyed the ceviche and said it tasted fresh. I recently went to Mambos Café for lunch and had the shrimp tostones as an appetizer and the the seafood paella as an entree; both were shared with my mom and we agreed that were delicious. Since then I've ordered the tostones twice for lunch on Uber Eats, the first order was perfect second order I can tell the cook rushed but all in all the food was so good I couldn't stop thinking about so I ordered it on Uber lol read more

I was sooo excited to try this restaurant. And I wasn't disappointed! At arrival, we were told that our party of 5 would have about an hour wait. But they made some adjustments at a smaller table where we were able to sit right away. A bit snug but I was thankful for the accommodation consider we had 3 littles hungry. The inside was very clean, comfortable, and decor was nice. Customer service was on POINT! Our waitress was kind and informative. The skirt steak was good. But that arroz chaufa was sooooooo delicious. And the poco loco drink was perfect. I will be back! read more

I tried Mambo's for the first time.. I ordered the vaca frita. I cannot believe how terrible this food is. The smell was downright awful and when I attempted to taste a bite of the beef it had a very weird/old taste to it. Same with the rice. This was an $18 meal and I was only able to stomach the beans and the plantains. Sad to say this will be my last time trying this place. I hate to leave a great review because I'd rather selfishly keep this gem of a restaurant to myself. Food is spot on. So far I been twice we had the Paella Valencia which is out of this world good, super fresh and savory seafood and ingredients. We been for lunch and had the Cuban sandwich and the grouper sandwich. The group is to die for, soft flakey fish cooked to perfection. The friendly service, cleanliness, ambience, decor, and really friendly service is absolutely stellar: it is far and beyond what is generally experienced with in the area. We gave this place a second chance after their grand opening...because we've been going to the Alpharetta location but we were disappointed again although the complimentary bread, empanadas, & cappuccino were good were ordered a seafood jalea mixta and it was to breaded and salty. The kids chicken finger were not good as my kid left them because he didn't like them which is not normal for them. Also they charged us extra because I added a extra salsa which would've been fine but they never mentioned the extra charge. Maybe we'll try again later in the future because we live close but as of now do not recommend for Cuban/Peruvian food. read more

Last night busy, bar 50% full, bar manager and 2 bartenders 10 minutes before we were greeted. Drinks were made and ordered an appetizer and the 30 minute lead time for the paella. Appetizer was delivered no silver and plates behind bar why? While waiting for that, music was setting up and doing sound check why during service. Now I am watching the 3 behind the bar watching them make my drink using a shot glass and 3 seats away 2 men get a free pour when I am getting no free pour. Or pour at all. Zero eye contact from anyone. Bar service zero. Sadly appetizer served @ same time as entree and the drop was " I'm so sorry the kitchen was behind" and yet all the food delivered at once. Still no silverware, linen or plates and just poor service. Asked for a manager and turned out to be person in charge had to go to hostess stand to ask for manager to please come to the bar. Oh same person that sold me the food, no resolve or any reaction. Eventually bar manager is back peddling to comp something instead of taking paella away so we complete or appetizer and then make fresh entree but no. The food here is good so just a full on disappointment that service is not. Maybe a place for lunch. read more
