Beautifully prepared food. My steak was cooked spot on , seafood, ceviche, beautiful And gorgeous salmon. Fun atmosphere live band on Friday night. The raspberry lemon drop martini is a wow. Can't wait to have that again, service is OK, A bit offputting. She seemed very frazzled over everything.

A friend spoke highly of Mambo's, but all I needed to hear to give it a try was "new Cuban restaurant" near me. I'm always down for Cuban food, and I've been hoping for new options in the Buford area. The experience was overall positive. I was pleased to see some attention had been paid to the environment. The lighting was ideal, the interior color scheme is sleek and modern but inviting. They also have open air seating to the side of the main floor. Booths are spacious, but they also have hi-tops. They provide complimentary basket of toasted bread dusted with spices and a bright and peppery green sauce. Tasty, with what I'd consider to be moderate level of heat. I ordered the Croquetas de Jamon, which is a plate of four ham croquettes with Romesco sauce, which is a semi-sweet puree usually made from red pepper, tomato, herbs, nuts, etc. Served on an appealing ceramic platter with a garnish of what looked like sprigs of fresh thyme. They arrived crisp, but not too hot. Great combination of flavors. My entree was Lomo de Cerdo a la Parilla. Two citrus-marinated grilled pork chops topped with chimichurri and served with rice, black beans, and fried plantains. The pork was on the well done side, but tender and flavorful. The sauce was fresh and savory with an herby undertone. Plantains were just past firm, still had some satisfying toothsomeness with that great caramelization that gives that unique almost honey like flavor, a great contrast for the spices on the pork. The black beans were perfectly tender and a bit smoky. The rice was also cooked exactly right. I'd go with yellow over white every time. My entree was from the lunch menu. Good pricing for that item, and a satisfying portion for the money. The main menu I noticed had more expensive fare. Many traditional Cuban dishes, and I'm looking forward to going back again to work my way through the selections. We went early in the lunch "hour" so it wasn't too crowded - but it deserves a lot more attention. Definitely returning. One and only one negative: The interior had a pronounced chemical fragrance. I noticed that the plastic menus were at least one source for this smell. My hand actually kept that aroma after handling the menus. It was somewhat distracting, and quite unfortunate for a style of food known for spices and aromas. I'd advise someone in charge to see about minimizing or mitigating that.

We wanted to try a place we have not been to and from Yelp search, we found this place. As someone said earlier, do not follow Google's direction. It doesn't take you straight here. This place is located behind Bubba's and in front of Homewood Suites by Hilton. The restaurant is very colorful and festive Latin atmosphere. The background music is lively but not overwhelming. Being that we were early, it was not busy and there are ample parking spaces. When we walked in, we were seated immediately but it took 15 mins for someone to realized we have not been served. The server Nicholas was very nice, courteous and friendly. He came by frequently throughout our meal to check on us with good timing. He brought us a basket of garlic bread with a spicy salsa verde. Love it. We started our meal with appetizers Tostones Rellenos and Empanadas. They were both very delicious. I think these would have been enough for two but the menu looks so good that we ordered entrees. We got the Paella Valenciana and Lechon Asado. The entrees were very tasty but I feel that the paella was a little saltish. Maybe next time I make sure to tell them to ease on the salt. But overall, everything is outstanding. For the price, the servings are huge. We will be back and I cannot recommend this place enough!

We came in with a large group of 12 and they were very quick to seat us where we wanted! The server was very friendly and got every order right. I got the Ropa vieja and it was amazing, you can choose between white and yellow rice and I recommend the yellow! The fried rice was also very good. 10/10

We finally made it to Mambo Cafe and they did not disappoint. It was a minute since I had seafood so everything was so yummy.. I ordered a side of veggies since the platter did not come with any vegetables. Everything was fried to perfection. The margaritas were doing what they were supposed to do and the service was great.

The food was amazing. Everything was delicious. And the drinks were made just right. The service staff was friendly and polite. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Definitely a must visit if you're in the Buford area.

Fast service. Very friendly! Great atmosphere and decor. Empanadas went too fast to get a pic! Love the steak & chicken! Both were tender & well flavored!

I came here because my date wanted to dance. I believe that every weekend there is a live band and they pretty good. Very good actually! The only drawback is the dancing space. Not much but you make do with that you have. She had Ceviche (no pictures were taken) and I had the snapper and it was filling with rice and beans and plantains. I had an Old Fashion and she had a pisco sour and she really enjoyed the drinks. Rosario was excellent and very attentive. The food was delicious, filling and succulent. We stayed later to enjoy the live music and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Not once did we felt as we were trying to be kicked out. If you are in the area or looking for a good place to take your date. This is your place!

Part of the menu, tallarin Verde is soooo good!!

amazing food and service. Friday is usually a bit loud in the evening due to a live band but the music is great. The green dipping sauce with their bread is so addictive. Wish I knew what it is.

Great restaurant. The decor and inside of the restaurant was pretty. It is also located in a great area that has tons to do. The drinks were pretty good and affordable. The rice and beans were seasoned really well. The chicken breast had a sauce on the top I just wish the actual chicken was a little bit more seared and seasons but overall it was good. The bread and spicy sauce they gave for appetizers was so good! Service was good as well

Great service, great food, great for family dinner outing. Love the Aji sauce! The menu is extensive so anyone can find something to eat.

Had the "Yuca Frita con salsa de Huancaina" and the "Pulpo a La Parrilla" as an appetizer and then I had the Churrasco with white rice, black beans, and sweet fried plantains. The meal was DELICIOUS from beginning to end. I also want to mention that our server was nice and attentive. We'll definitely be back!

They have a few TVs for viewing and had a live belly dancer briefly perform. They didn't have a DJ. It seems like they were playing music from a music playlist, which was a mix of RnB and Hip Hop. Their menu has food, drink, and hookah options. They had nothing on the menu except for Suya; so, we didn't have food. The drinks were pretty good and reasonably priced, given that they were served in plastic cups. The hookah was pretty good and lasted awhile. Of note, the bartender couldn't take cash because she didn't have enough change in the register to return; the only option was card payment.

The sign would advise they open at 5, but doors wouldn't open until nearly an hour later. They would frequently do grocery runs to Walmart then charge you the same amount for items such as wings that were clearly different and finally arrived right before they close the lounge. So you literally had to box them, then pay your bill to close..... With that said, The recent visit I made last week was MUCH better. Decor of this locale is real loungy and sleek. Nice ambiance for a Gwinnett experience...The staff is very pleasant, and the Siracha wings are amazing!!! Presentation was so simple but nice... My friend got another chicken dish, that kinda looked like a Cordon Bleu, and that was quite tasty as well. Drinks are fair, (tiny portions with ice), and the music is good. Mix of African/Reggae/HipHop. In all, I recommend this place if the consistency stays like this....but I had to be honest about my previous experiences.

I liked their Lomo Saltado (even thought I think they can improve the quality of the meat), their Causa Acevichada is fantastic and the Anticuchos have a very good flavor. Adding to the regular Peruvian menu they have some dishes from what we call "Chifa" in Perú (Chinese restaurants), I think it's worth to try it. I've been like 8 times in this restaurant and I still didn't have the chance to try the Pollo a la Brasa (Roasted Chicken) because they are always out of it... in one side I'm disappointed and in the other I know their chickens are made fresh daily BUT they have to recalculate how many they need to prepare a day so they have enough until 8 PM. In general, a good Peruvian restaurant with a limited amount of traditional dishes . I'll be coming back when I am in the area. ** Supposedly they cook some traditional dishes for the lunch specials.

I'm regretting my decision 100%, I've never been in a worst Peruvian Restaurant. I started with an appetizer Causa de Pollo, the avocado in it was hard and not riped. My entree was Ceviche de Corvina (before ordering it, I've asked the waitress about the fish because I know that they don't sell Corvina in USA... She told me that the chef said that they have a special delivery of it.), well... Literally the taste of the fish was uneatable and even the juice didn't have a fresh lime flavor at all. Very, very bad. Look at the photos, the fish doesn't even look appealing , Corvina is normally white and transparent when is fresh. After letting the waitress know that the ceviche was bad and that's why I didn't even eat it, I didn't want to leave with a sour taste on my mouth so I've ordered dessert... I love Picarones and I asked the other waitress if they had it when I sit down... She said yes. Well... Surprise, surprise... 10 min after I've ordered the Picarones, the waitress came and told me that they didn't have Picarones, it was sold out. What a coincidence right after I've returned the ceviche because it was bad. Of course, I got the bill... They didn't even had the honor to take out the bad ceviche. I've paid and left. The one star is for the waitresses... It's not their fault that the restaurant where they work it's so bad in customer service and bad food. The waitresses were polite and attentive. No way I would recommend this place to any of my friends. I hope Sabor Inka open soon.
