Just spent 83$ on a Stromboli, wings, and loaded fries. Cheese steak stromboli super dry and no flavor. Very disappointing. Wings- got the garlic butter and Parmesan, along with the honey barbecue, so over cooked. Definitely had better. Loaded cheese fries- wife didn't say too much about them , so I'll let them slide. Employees very friendly, but I'm a bit of a germ -a-phobic. Watching one of the cooks rub their head and then proceed to cook food kinda turns me off. Overall, disappointed in the food, it will be a long while before I try it again. read more

This place has gone down hill. We haven't had Mamas in a long time. So the first strike was when I ordered. I wanted a Quattro Gusti stuffed pizza. Apparently, the guy who took our order put the phone down to ask about the pizza. And I heard everything he said. He made fun of how I said it and asked his peer about the Quattro Gusti. He did not know what it was, even though it's on their site. So we change the order to meat lovers stuffed pizza. Strike 2, we were told 30 minutes. My husband went in to pick up the order. They made the wrong pizza...Apparently there's stuffed and counter stuffed. We ordered the stuffed and got the counter stuffed. Strike 3 My husband said we asked for stuffed and got charged for the counter stuffed. My husband spoke up and they gave it to us the price of the stuffed. A comment was said we should know what we ordered. we are done with the place. read more

I moved to the area just over a year ago and this place is near where I live. At first the pizza was good but it then went downhill. After my third bad experience I quit going. My pizzas started being overcooked (burnt crust, well done on top). I like my pizza with sauce, not dry paste. I also like my cheese soft and gooey, not hard. After my experience I spoke with a neighbor and they said it is hit or miss here. I don't know about the other locations as I've only tried the Shillington Road location. I may give them another try at some point. read more

I've been taking out from Mama's pizza for close to 20 years. Tonight was by far the worst experience I have had. Ordered online and had to wait over a half hour once I arrived. A worker behind the counter, yelling "DRIVER" in a grating, ear piercing shrill every five minutes had all the customers on edge. Finally got my order, drove fifteen minutes home and found they screwed up my order. I've ordered from this location many times over the years, but this was a truly appalling experience. My friends and I eat in sometimes or take things to go and I've ordered from this Mama's once for dinner and it was very good and we were very satisfied. We got a pepperoni pizza, parmesan peppercorn which are awesome btw, and fries. Tonight we ordered the same thing but got garlic butter wings instead which were fantastic but they forgot our blue cheese, no biggie. Their pizza tonight, however was just pathetic honestly. The bottom of it was drenched and completely soggy. You couldn't even pick it up without the entire thick layer of cheese with a stack of pepperoni sliding off. I was disgusted. I called about it and tried to explain what the situation was. The girl over the phone proceeded to tell me maybe it's just from the pepperoni? Um..if you actually spread the cheese and pepperoni correctly, it would have been evenly distributed and wouldn't be falling apart. She didn't give me a hard time and sent the driver to deliver me another pizza. It was taken care of and I appreciate it! I figured it was a busy Friday night but, I really don't mind waiting as long as it's worth it and not just thrown together. Hopefully when we order next, it will be perfect! read more

All pizza is good just because it's pizza right? Pizza is average. That being said I challenge anyone is this region to guide me to great pizza. As with most pizza in the Lehigh valley sauce is just a red coloring, cheese was real, not a lot of orange oil from the fake stuff. The crust, similar to bowling alley pizza, more like bread then crispy Italian crust. All in all ok for the area and 2 slices and a drink for $6. If you expect mouth watering pizza art this is not it. If you are looking for an average slice at a good price point, stop here. read more

Best pizza around. Cheese steaks and chicken cheese steaks are on point. The boardwalk pizza is the bomb. They've got a $5 lunch special - 2 slices and bottomless fountain soda. It's 2021. You can't beat that. It is a small pizza shop, not Morton's steak house. You go there to pick up your food. Who TF cares how old the workers are or if the guy behind the counter who has just worked 4 10-hour days in a row and dealt with hangry Karens doesn't give you a big smile and say "My pleasure, thank you so much for choosing Mama's have a fantastic day!"? They are Philly sports fans. The city who sings "We're from Philly, effin Philly, no one likes us, we don't care." You have to appreciate thier grit, sense of humor and no BS approach. Unfortunately not a fan of their pizza. They are the closest pizza shop to our house but we don't order from them. Every time we get a pizza delivered it seems to be undercooked. The dough weighs a ton and is really chewy. We once tried other items on the menu and they weren't bad except my wife ordered a personal Stromboli or calzone. It was practically raw when we got it. My wife threw it in our air fryer to finish cooking it but that's why we ordered out... so we didn't have to cook. We like to get cheese fries but at Mamas they give you barely a handful of fries for the order. Other pizza places give more fries and cheese for a cheaper cost. I really want to like this place because it is so close but don't enjoy half baked pizzas. read more

When I moved into this area, people recomended this place as the go to spot for pizza in this area. I tried and was extremely dissapointed. I ordered two large pies and when i got home, the cheese was all over the place and when you pulled the slices apart, the crust was so thin that the slice fell apart. We ended up eating the crust of each slice with forks to scoop up the cheese from the box. I do like to give places second chances however. I thought maybe it was a rookie pizza person making them or just a bad dough day. I worked in pizza shops in my early twenties so i understand its not always perfect. I tried 2 more times actually and both times were just about exactly the same as the first. I will never buy pizza from here again. It doesnt look like the pizza maker puts pride into the pizza he or she makes. I found a pizza place about ten minutes from here called Franks that is way better. All of the pies I bought fell apart and could not be eaten with your hands the way a slice of pizza shoukd be eaten. Don't believe the 1 star reviews. This place is always packed out and seems to be enormously popular in the area. It seems there's a vocal and rotten minority of dissenters. Ive been here about 4 or 5 times since we moved to the Sinking Spring area a month or so ago. We've ordered everything from pizza and strombili to subs and pasta - so basically everything on the menu. I've never had food that tasted less than amazing and the service is phenomenal. I can't fathom the negative reviews being due to anything of than snobbery on the part of selfish customers who demand the world from a take out pizza joint. read more

Mama's is average at best. There's not many places around so they're always busy, but don't think it's because of the food. Their cheesesteaks look like wet dog food, I don't understand what they do differently from other places. The mess up the orders a lot, I've been inside to pick up before and it's obvious why. They teenagers they have working for them seem incompetent and got into a screaming match with each other in front of customers. Their pizza seems to taste different every time. WORST wings on the planet. Stick to the pizza...or not. They were barely identifiable in shape as wings, cold, tasteless and under-cooked. If I could give a negative rating I would Asked for blue cheese or ranch selection with the wings, assumed it was for celery. NOPE nothing. Finally had a chance to stop in to Original Mama's on the Shillington Road and sample something for the first time. Ordered a thin slice of pepperoni pizza and a pizza cheese steak grinder with grilled onions, sweet peppers, and just the right amount of oregano sprinkled into the melted mozzarella cheese on top. The entire sandwich was toasted to perfection in the pizza oven. The marinara sauce was delish. Not too tart, not too sweet. Best pizza cheesesteak I've had in the Reading area. The pepperoni slice was thin and cheesey with a crispy crust and again just the right amount of oregano sprinkled on top. I've been searching for a thin crust pizza that reminds me of the good ol' Lancaster Avenue Rocky's Pizza of yester-year, and this comes pretty darn close. Staff was very friendly and courteous, and they were busy with both walk-in and pre-order customers. This place is fine, nothing special but the food is ok. I did note that it smelled kind of funny by the soda fountain, like they used a smelly rag to wipe the counter there. For some reason, it's also very under the radar since a lot of people in the area have never even heard of it. I still prefer Santino's over Mama's Pizza. read more

Pretty bad pizza and why are most of their individual slices "cheesesteak stuffed pizza?" That isn't a real thing anywhere else.

This is my second time ordering from Mama's pizza & it seems to be hit or miss. The pizza last time was phenomenal & was flavorful as well as the salad we ordered. This time around the pizza was cold after waiting an hour for delivery & lacked flavor. The consistency of the food is not all there. The fact that this place even has two stars left is a miracle. I will admit that if you would've asked me a few years back to rate the Wyomissing location I would've given it at least 4 stars, but now? This place is a complete and utter disaster in my eyes and from what I've read in these reviews many agree. The staff is almost entirely made up of "stoners and potheads" it's almost impossible to not notice when for the majority the staff is younger teenagers and maybe 2-3 adults, the staff is rude and problematic with customers, not only myself but I've been witness to other in store interactions. The females like to argue with the customers while the guys just twiddle their thumbs and mess around. If your calling to place an order you should almost always expect an attitude ridden employee to answer. As far as the food, I enjoy most of what's provided on the menu however the cleanliness is nowhere near actually clean. Be careful when choosing to order and or eat from here you never know when you'll be dealing with a moody teenagers who shouldn't be allowed to continue to work and run the store like this. The food is good, but customer service is very poor. It's ran down by a bunch of teenagers that seem high as a kite. In fact they think it's funny to laugh at you while taking order over the phone. They are such simpletons, that I had to spell my name out three times, for the young stoner boy who answers phone. After the third time he still couldn't make out what I spelled and sounded out slowly for him. He was also laughing as if it was a fucking joke. Please don't let a block head like these young kids ruin your place of business. Hire better management, and people who are not rude. The girls don't know how to smile. Pizza is good. But had a bad experience that makes this 1-star. My friend and I went to go pick up a large pizza (sinking spring store), small pizza, and order of fries on Friday night. We ordered at 6:13PM. They told us 25-30 minutes. We showed up around 6:30, paid and were told that it would be ready shortly. We had to ask 3 more times. The second time we asked - the girl at the front said it was in the oven and would be out soon (after watching, we learned that we were lied to as our pizza was not even close to that point). It was frustrating standing there for 45 minutes. After we finally received our food, we pointed out how ridiculous the situation was - only to be told that we were wrong and that our food was ready when they said it would be. Being argued with by an employee is not ok in a situation like this. We left - and then were followed by another employee out to our car trying to track us down. Not sure what his reasoning was but we left. Just a tip, Mama's, when you have a customer that is upset in a situation like that. Say sorry, give a worthless coupon if you can, and in the worst case scenario, pay for the order. Don't argue with the customer. Its a shame because you have good pizza. Next time - we will be taking the extra 2 min to drive to Santinos or stopping at Paparones - where this is never an issue. read more

Zero stars...WHATTA-A RIP- OFF, for their 1st Monday pizza call it in promo. Almost 2 hrs. later my pizza was done. I called it in at 5:04 pm. I was told it was beat the clock night and you pay when you pick -up. They said my pizza would be ready at 6 :20 PM. At 6 :25 pm..they said my pizza was not ready and I couldn't pay for it until it was ready. I saw many finished pizzas sitting on top of the pizza oven,waiting to be picked up. Other people were also waiting for their finished pizza(s). Now when my pizza was finally "finished",so I could now be rung up, it was rung up at the current time of 6:34 PM,which equals $ 6.34. I never expected this pizza to take this long,and only had $5.90 in cash and did not bring anything extra. The girls refused to release my pizza to me,after I asked if they could spot me the difference. They downright refused and because I am an honest person,I would have came back within a day to pay the .44 cent deficit. They not only lost a customer,they now have been exposed of this un-ethical pizza promotion. Yes, I have eaten there at least every few months for the past 15 years. That night, very hungry,after waiting for the pizza,that I did not receive,I went to KFC for the $5.00 box. The clerk saw " hunger" in my eyes and even gave me an extra piece of chicken. I am very grateful and hope one day KFC starts selling pizza.!!!!! This review was delayed for a few weeks as I thought I would change my mind or the tone of this review. Nothing changed. I work at a nursing home that orders from Mamas pizza in shillington VERY frequently. Due to covid-19, mama's is doing contactless delivery, which is great. But, when i ordered online for all of the nurses at my job for nurses week, i was told by an employee at mamas, that they will not deliver to my job due to us having covid patients. the delivery would have been contactless- i asked them to place the food on a bench out front and have them call me when they placed the food. they outright refused. read more
