Let's just say I can't believe we waited this long; we're now planning our trips around making sure we can stop here!!! We haven't stopped talking about it since. You can taste the high quality of their coffee at the root of their lattes, the espresso of course. Lattes are perfectly balanced with sweetness while still tasting their espresso. I got the porch swing latte, & my other family members got smoothies & the river mill latte. And got a cinnamon roll for a little road trip treat!!! When I picture an amazing coffee shop, it's River Mill. You're greeted by warm, small town vibes--both from the sweet people that own & work there, and the nice decor & seating. Don't even mention the coffee, I had the affogato and I was sooooooooo happy. My gosh! So perfect. As you can see on the pic, it was a touch of crème on the bottom of the cup, then espresso topped with vanilla ice cream. Just heaven. Avocado toast is a big hit here, but I was hungry so I got the Turkey sandwich, it came on sourdough which is different here. Bread was still warm when I got it and it was very enjoyable. I would 100% come back!

The decor is incredible, and the outside area is so dreamy, I'd hang out there forever. We bought their cute little tumblers like good tourists. The rest of the experience was...flat. Our total for some of the cheapest (mid tasting) ingredients on the planet was nearly $80. The tumblers were both under $14 (just so you don't think of course it was $80, you got two tumblers). The trash was piled so high you couldn't put anything else in it. The coffee somehow had all kinds of extra ingredients and still just tasted like straight espresso. The food took so long we were nearly done with our coffees by the time we got it. There was a whopping one other person in there so it's not like they were in the weeds. But this spot?! This decor?! It's like an incredibly gorgeous person with a vapid personality. IDK how else to describe it.
