I went to the location close to my house. The staff was friendly, vibe was nice/low key. They were attentive in my visit and friendly. I did like my food. No amazing but good. I would come back and eat here again

Came here to study and it had a great atmosphere. The coffee was delicious -- the perfect treat. There were also a lot of pastries I wanted to try, so I'll definitely be returning.

What can I say, I'm obsessed with good quality food and I'm definitely enjoying having this place in the area. On today's visit, I had Anna's Belgium Waffle which comes topped with guava jam, a side of fresh cut strawberries, side of salted whipped butter, and maple syrup. I actually did not need the butter nor syrup on the side because the guava jam added enough sweetness and flavor. This waffle was buttery soft and so delectable! The guava jam was divine and the strawberries were sweet and fresh. All for $15 and a might I add that I needed some bacon so I ordered a side for $6. Perfectly cooked..but $6 for a side of bacon was a tad bit too much. My friend had the smashed avocado tartine and he raved about how amazing his food was. Service moves fast here and it's great to enjoy when the place isn't too busy. Awesome food! Beautiful decor, and everything that you need for breakfast or lunch!

Really cute brunch spot! Very clear allergy/dietary distinctions including plenty of gluten free options (even GF pancakes and sandwiches!). Tried the ratatouille, which is a weekend special and was alright (not my favorite). Also had the waffles which were REALLY good and I'd definitely get again. The vanilla frozen latte was also FANTASTIC. Compared to other brunch spots, their serving sizes are definitely smaller and single serve only. Otherwise it's a great spot with good service and food.

chain from nyc making it's presence known in dc. it's quite a bit more spacious than the locations in nyc and beautifully decorated. part of a shopping area with a lovely outdoor area. i'm a huge fan of the goat cheese (?) and blueberry jam scone although it could do with quite a bit more filling and a little less of the granulated sugar on top. a buy at the counter and then have food brought to your table kind of establishment.

They just opened a few days ago. There's another location just up the street so I was surprised to see this one directly across from my work building. The cafe has a very large seating area, and nearly every single table was occupied. The layout from when it was Paul Bakery hasn't changed, except for the addition of overly lavish garlands of artificial foliage. The prices of maman are comparable to that of Paul, and they practically have the same menu. I'm not refined enough to notice a clear or significant difference so I wonder why Paul failed. The ordering structure is the same: wait in line at the bakery case and order, get a table number if dining in, and bagged items if taking out. The cashier was friendly and new, having some challenges at the register. I asked for a honey lavender latte but received a regular latte. Given how incredibly busy they were, my drink was made very quickly and dropped off to my table. It still tasted fabulous, was a large portion, served hot, and with latte art. The pistachio oil cake was also so good and filled with pistachio cream, which was a pleasant surprise. I also ordered two chocolate chip cookies to go that had big chunks of chocolate chips. The taste was incredible. $4.50 each was well worth it. Highly recommend! Get yourself to a maman asap!

Wow! Such a stunning surprise inside of the cute market. Every blue & white detail is quaint and lovely! We tried a number of food items and each one was delicious! Lots of seating, inside and out.

Tahini chocolate chip cookies (collab with seed+mill)

Oprah is right, the cookies are fabulous. The standard chocolate chip with nuts is the perfect chocolate chip cookie (and I'm very picky). I also love the current tahini chocolate chip which is a collaboration with Seed+Mill out of NYC. I haven't tried any of the pastries, but they do look beautiful in the display case. The aesthetic and marketing here are great. The flowery exterior really invites people in and the cozy environment makes people want to stay. I've seen other locations with big lines on the weekend, while this location seems to have less of a weekend crowd. While the cookies and ambience are great, it's the savory food that brings the rating down for this beloved chain. I was really excited to try it and the menu reads well, but the execution is really average. Everything looks and tastes like simple fare you could get at any large lunch chain. It's defineatly not worth eating brunch/lunch at Maman in cities like DC and NY where there are so many better options. The moral of the story: come for the cookies, eat lunch somewhere else.

I am so pleasantly delighted. I see a lot of mamans pop up and I'm drawn into the high volume of plastic foliage and blue ceramic. The design and concept of maman definately feels developed and stylized things we want to see out of a cafe expirence that feels like an old european tea room. It leans modern and fast casual for the convenience and needs of DC work culture. The food offerings are super varied and tailored to trending flavors at the moment as well as some well made or elavated classics. Drinks menu is standard compared to many cafes however, its done very elevated and tastefully done. As you can see its the type of place that has perfect latte art and vibrant green matcha. I can't see myself coming repeatedly because of the high price point and almost too picturesque nature, but I see it as a cozy comfy spot to bring a mom for breakfast.

    caitlins breakfast wrap

Not the first time it happened but it this was just disappointing. A wrap with extra herbed feta $20 and some change. Wrap came wet , falling apart with food just scattering all over the table I pretty much ate half and most with utensils. Great little spot and I've been here several times but not worth the money at all.

Beautiful aesthetic and amazing pastries! I had the pleasure of trying maman a few times during my stay in DC. I loved the chocolate chip cookie, perfect thin cookie with crisp edge and soft middle. I liked it more than the s'mores cookie. I also tried the mango passionfruit beach ball which was a pastry filled with mango/passion fruit cream, the pastry was perfectly flaky, cream was good but a bit too much for me. The honey lavender latte and vanilla lattes were great, but alternative milk prices were higher at $1 for oat milk. I would come back for the chocolate chip cookie and to try other pastries.

We came here on a Sunday morning before museum hopping. It was about 9 am and thankfully we got there when we did bc it was soooo busy! Firstly the decor is sooo adorable. Country chic Martha Stewart partnership vibes. It's easy to order and all the pastries look so delicious. I got their bacon egg and cheese croissant and it was the perfect size. I also got the nutty chocolate chip cookie which hit the spot and the chai latte was also delish. It's a good location to go to for museum viewing as well.

The standout of the entire meal was the tres leches French toast an absolute 10/10. It was rich, perfectly sweet, and honestly one of the best brunch items I've had. The seasonal fruit platter was also a 10/10 so fresh and beautifully presented with honeydew, pineapple, blueberries, strawberries, watermelon, and a side of blueberry yogurt that tied everything together perfectly. The breakfast burrito, however, was more of a 5/10 very basic and didn't stand out compared to the other dishes we tried. Overall, the experience was still enjoyable, especially because of the incredible French toast and fresh fruit platter. I'd definitely come back for those alone, but I'd probably explore different savory options next time.

Food Quality: We ordered burgers, which unfortunately were overcooked. My husband decided to send his back, and while the second attempt was better, it still didn't hit the mark. We also tried the fried chicken sandwich, which was decent but fell short of the excitement promised in the menu description. Hunger vs. Quality: I was too hungry to send my burger back, so I ended up with a well-done burger that lacked the juicy flavor I was hoping for. It's disappointing when you anticipate a delicious meal, only to have it miss the mark. Pricing: I also found the prices a bit steep, especially for the drinks. The juices felt overly expensive compared to the overall dining experience. In summary, while Cafe Americano has potential, my experience was just okay. The food quality and value didn't quite align with our expectations. I might consider giving it another try in the future, but I'd approach it with a bit more caution.

The restaurant was so cute and even thought a World Cup game was in the tv, you didn't hear it. I had the 2-2-2 and instead of the potatoes I substituted a side of fruit. Heaven! It all tasted so good. A friend had an Açaí bowl and the other the B.E.L.T. No one got enough! We wanted more. We were taken care of by Patricia and she was lovely. She wasn't overbearing and hovering, but checked in just enough to keep our drinks full. The next time I'm in Miami I know where I'm eating.

After we received our food, our server never came back to check on us. She spent nearly the entire time attending to another table, leaving us without any service. I eventually had to ask a different server for water, and I was given hot water instead of cold. To make matters worse, the food itself was bland and lacked flavor. Between the poor service and the disappointing meal, this was not a pleasant dining experience. I hope management addresses these issues, as good customer service and quality food should be a priority.
