This Mamacoffee is the biggest one in Prague, to my knowledge. It tends to be a little bit loud and crowded, but other than that it's hands down the best bet for excellent coffee and healthy snacks in any café in Prague. And there's one more perk actually: From almost any chair you have got an excellent view over the street. Which means you can watch people (mostly British & German...of course) enter and exit the Hooters across the street. I have, as a fellow German, often considered going over to help these poor lost souls who think, lunch or dinner at Hooters in Prague is a good idea and tell them about all the other things they could be doing with their time and their money. Until now, I have always been able to get rid of that thought and focused on finishing my excellent Moccaccinos. We caught up with Mamacoffee at their tent kiosk located in the Farmářské tržiště Náplavka. Great location at the bottom of the ramp, the very first kiosk in the farmer's market. Friendly service and yes, they do speak English. But "Two latte" isn't really hard to understand. Delicious, made to order and the usual fixings available if you need to add sugar or other sweeteners. Here's the cool thing. They use reusable cups with a 50 koruna deposit. I love mamacoffee! Our airbnb was right around the corner so we ended up coming here a few times during our stay in Prague. The coffee shop is two levels and had a very modern and hipster feel. There is a beverage menu and a short food menu, and you can order both upstairs and downstairs. Servers take your order and you pay at the counter after you are finished. This place is great. If you want to sit, just head directly upstairs and you'll be served. I had a vanilla latte with the carrot cake. Both were delicious and the latte came in your typical leaf art but also came with a small shot glass of water and some delicious dark chocolate. I really love mama coffee. I frequent their multiple locations, and all I can say is their espresso/lattes/cappucinos are always top notch. The service is usually fine, but sometimes when this particular location is crowded the service can be slower. I have also noticed that from coming here a long time that their food portions (especially for hummus) have slowly begun to get smaller while the prices are remaining the same. If you also have this problem then head to their other location on krizikova where the atmosphere is much smaller, more intimate and they still give you a huge portion for less. When in this area I still think mama coffee is the best coffee shop around, and would go here over any others regardless of the occasional slow service, crowds and smaller portions. Close to my apartment in Prague, but a bit overpriced for the amount of food received. The interior is quite beautiful; both the top and bottom floors come with coffee bars and tons of natural sunlight. Decor is rather hipster. The menu is decently extensive, though mostly centered on the carbs and sugars. Food: Cherry soda was a disappointment. Very watered down. I wanted to order the mezze platter but only got the hummus and some flatbread, so I went back to order some tabbouleh salad. Decent, but nothing mind blowing. My brother ordered the Hungarian dumplings, which were rather similar to pierogis. They were quite small and thin, which did not make much of a meal. There was wifi, which was a blessing. Really cute place with lots and lots of seats (I mean if you wanna hang out with a friend - you don't really wanna come to a small coffee house - you can be sure here though that you'll find a spot cause it has downstairs and upstairs). This is a nice little spot. I've only had iced coffee to-go here. The coffee is always made to order, so it's always fresh. However, the size of the iced coffee is pretty small and nearly half of it was cream, so the value is just okay. The staff is super friendly and quick, so no complaints there. read more

However, it took about 40 minutes, and they messed up one of parties orders twice, and didn't even put it in the second time. They also were not accommodating and would not give us scrambled eggs instead of fried eggs with one of the meals. Not hard to do! First of all, it took me over an hour to get here because thanks to my superb sense direction I went up towards the river instead of east. I had built up a hearty appetite and was ready for some good food. I have allergies to eggs, dairy and nuts, so it was good that Mamacoffee had the allergen system all Czech restaurants are apparently required to have. The waiter was patient with dealing with my allergies.. I had the veggie burger with spinach hulled bread, confit onion, and soy mayonnaise. It was excellent, as a matter of a fact, and I ate every crumb! As a drink, I had the soy hot chocolate, and it was SO good, much better than Starbucks! :) Expecting it to be as good, I ordered a vegan dessert. There are two vegan desserts, I believe, brownie and apple strudel, and since we are in Prague people, I got the strudel. I am going to say it flat out- Unfortunately, it sucked. The crust, if you could call it that, tasted like sandpaper, and was burnt at the edges, and the filling was WAAAY too sweet and the skins still on the apple were very unpleasant. I have never had apple strudel before, so I don't know if that is how it is supposed to taste, but I am sure not having that ever again. Came here very often to do work (multiple times a week) while I was studying abroad. Great food - especially the banana bread and veggie burger. Coffee is ok. The cold brew is not made there and is served to you in a glass bottle with a sealed top. The raspberry iced tea is amazing. Had so much expectations about this cafe after reading the views here. So dissapointed! Went there and started to talk to the woman behind the counter downstairs when we were ready to order. She told me to sit down at a table and then they will take our order. We got upstairs and sat down, got a menu from the waitress, desided what to order and then we waited....and waited...
