An aunt who lives in SB introduced us to Mama Luma and their beautiful dresses for our one year old. The designs are always so pretty and the quality is amazing. On top of that, their level of customer service is BEYOND. I am so happy they have the retail space, but also sell all of their items online as well (since we aren't SB locals)! A simple size exchange for a roughly $200 children's dress has turned into weeks of chasing customer service. The dress was a gift for my daughter, and I first emailed Mama Luma on September 8 to exchange size 7-8 for 9-10. Follow-ups on September 9, 10, and 14 received no response--not even an acknowledgment. I also contacted their Instagram team and called customer service, only to be directed back to the same unanswered email inbox. Meanwhile, the exchange window keeps passing despite my repeated attempts to resolve this. Premium prices should come with basic customer support. This experience has been deeply disappointing, and I would not recommend Mama Luma based on how they have handled it. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM . I would give zero stars if I could. My experience with Mama Luma has been appalling. The dresses themselves were disappointing. They had a very strange and unflattering cut, and the material felt poor quality--nothing like the premium quality suggested by the website or the prices. Before returning my order, I contacted the company and received written instructions confirming that I could send the items back. Their email clearly stated that, once received and inspected, a full refund would be issued to my original payment method. They provided the return address and telephone number, so I followed their instructions and paid for international return postage. The parcel arrived in Dubai, but Emirates Post could not deliver it because nobody answered the recipient's telephone number. Emirates Post confirmed in writing that they tried calling multiple times and requested a reachable number. Despite my repeated requests, Mama Luma has refused to provide one or contact Emirates Post directly. After I had already sent the parcel, Mama Luma suddenly changed its position. They claimed that some items were on sale and another was a pre-order, so they would not honour the full refund originally promised. They then issued a 50% store-credit code that I did not want and have not used. The product pages did not clearly identify the items as final sale or non-refundable, and the women's dress is not described as a pre-order item on its product page. They authorised the return, promised a full refund in writing, allowed me to spend money returning the parcel, and are now refusing to cooperate with the postal service or honour their original confirmation. This has been an exhausting and unacceptable experience. I strongly advise customers, particularly international customers, to be extremely cautious before purchasing from Mama Luma. read more

Do not order if you need your item for a special occasion. I ordered a month in advance based on their advertised 4-day delivery timeframe. Three weeks later, my package is stuck in customs, and at this point, I'm not even confident I'll receive it at all. Despite repeatedly asking for help, Mama Luma offered no real solution. Terrible customer service. Ive been trying to return the dresses I bought because they didnt work and they wont give me a refund even though the policy states that a they take refunds if nothing has been worn and tags on. I bought a few dresses because I didnt know which one she would like and never had any intention of keeping all of them. Now they take a day to reply and they are telling me i get store credit which is bullshit. Also this company says they are from Santa Barbara but the items came from overseas. Truly terrible customer service, they require a tracking number to return along with a $25 restocking fee. I misplaced my usps tracking number and they refused to help me locate the item that was returned or refund any part... Stay away. Online order turning to a disaster. I wish I would read previous revues before ordering. No customer service. Nobody answering phone calls, no answers and never return my call after voice message was left (during working hours). No help by email. You need to write several emails to get the return label ( different delivery service and you will need your envelop or box as you can't drop to USPS the Fedex one, in which dress was originally sent). If they reply it will be No answer to your question, just the same words over and over, if they reply. Dressed not indicated where is made in, sent from Turkey which is good, but if wrong size it will be very difficult to return it with possible NO money back, only store credit if any sale and you will not correct amount. No breakdown at all of any cost - from $66 dollars dress they just told me $15 fee for return and here is your $27 backs store credit ( was returned new in the same condition and they confirmed it), after million emails and open case on PayPal still no answer how did this amount was calculated and turned to $27. On paypal case they wrote me "your $51 store credit was sent to you" which is no truth I don't have it!!! I need a code where is it? I have code for $27 dollars only! My store credit is $27 so they ok to lie to close the case faster. And I'm going to contact BBB buro as the way how they are handling business not only unprofessional, but Highly not trustful! I ordered my dress online, I returned it and now money is gone and no merchandise, if I new I would better donate it than lost everything for people who taking advantage from their buyers! I am so frustrated with Customer Service, Mama Luna, and their Clearance Line, Bonbiani. I have called 5 times and sent 10 e mails without response. I had 2 separate orders, 1 item was not sent. Waited 3 weeks then found out I a store credit was issued with out ever telling me. This happened 2 times. I asked for a credit to my Discover Card but still waiting. I discovered this brand when they had a pop up store at Paseo Nuevo and found a lovely dress with a music note design. It was PERFECT for my daughter's first piano recital. The other piano mommies were curious where I got the dress from, and at the time I could only direct them to Mama Luma's website. I was SO excited when I found out they opened up a store in Paseo Nuevo! Not only do they have a beautiful selection of clothes for girls, their customer service is also superb. LOVE!! If you want your child in the most cutest, unique clothing you'll see. Not only is the clothing imported, but amazing quality and the color scheme is so appropriate for little girls. The price is very manageable! Definitely worth every single one of my pennies, I bought two pairs of ruffle socks for a 9year old. Can not believe we have this children's boutique in Santa Barbara! The most beautiful clothes at a reasonable price for great quality and style. My 16 year old daughter is sad that their gorgeous designs are not available in her size. She described some of the style as Chanel with a spunky twist for girls. The employees have been fantastic helping size my 5 nieces that are in 3 countries and two continents. I can't wait to see their faces light up when they open their surprise packages.
