One slice of Mama Cimino's specialty Stuffed Pizza.

When you face the building at 131 N. Wells Street in Lake Geneva, be aware that more than half of it is a coin laundry. Mama Cimino's door is nearly hidden around the first corner to your right. The place is small, offering seating at six tables and places at the small bar. The ambiance is definitely Italian and Italian-American. The tables are set with red and white checked plastic tablecloths and individual paper maps of Italy. The restaurant is open Tuesday-Sunday 4 pm to 12 am, and does lots of take-out business. We arrived for an early dinner, and were met by a friendly older lady who suggested we sit anywhere we liked in the empty dining area. Mama Cimino's does have a liquor license, so my husband and I ordered Blue Moon beer and Pinot Noir wine, followed by Bruscetta and the Specialty Stuffed Chicago-style pizza that takes 45 minutes to make. The Bruscetta came on a dozen two-bite pieces of Italian bread (not like the slices from a big loaf) and was served cold, drizzled with balsamic vinegar. It was good and quite filling. My husband enjoyed his Blue Moon, but my wine had an ascerbic flavor that didn't bloom and wasn't friendly like the Australian and California wines I favor. The Specialty Stuffed Pizza appeared just at the 45 minutes promised. It was a delicate crust filled with mozzarella, parmesan, green bell pepper, olives, several kinds of meats, and a sauce that didn't fight with the other flavors. It also wasn't too sweet. I managed to eat one piece, my husband had two. Our server happily packed the leftovers into a box for us to take home, and asked with a laugh if we'd like dessert. That will have to wait until next time, when we order a smaller pizza!

Good buffalo & bbq wings, good calamari (some fancy places are worse), and good service. Shrimp average.

One of the the few places open on a Monday night in town after 9:00 p.m. Good buffalo & bbq wings, good calamari (some fancy places are worse), and good service. Shrimp average. Decent ambiance depending who comes in.

Truly some of the greatest Italian food I've ever had. Run - DONT WALK - to get the lasagna. Couldn't give it higher praise if I could!

Updated review: this spot gets 5 stars…read more We decided to give Oakfire a second chance and we are glad we did! The most important thing to note before dining here is that if you want a crispy pizza experience this isn't the kind of place for that HOWEVER their pizza is absolutely delicious! The food is fresh and full of flavor. The appetizers here are some of the best around. The views are 10/10 and we absolutely adored our server. All around this is a great place to experience Lake Geneva and we will be back!

We were seated near the kitchen area so we could see the hustle and bustle of the everything which was actually nice. Our family prefers wood-fired pizza and this did not disappoint. The Mickey Mouse pizza was a big hit with my daughter and the pepperoni & honey pizza my husband and I split was the perfect size, cooked to perfection. The sweetness of the honey drizzle paired with the spiciness of the pepperoni was spot on. For dessert we couldn't pass up the nutella calzone with came with a size of fresh strawberries. The flavor profile of this was amazing, the only downside was that it was not cut and was very difficult to cut, but other than that, highly recommend.

We took a drive to Lake Geneva to do a little sightseeing. When we noticed a Gino's East, we knew…read morethat was our lunch spot and it would save us a trip into downtown Chicago before flying back home. The location is great, it is right across the street from the beautiful Lake Geneva. There is a little bit of parking in the hotel parking lot that the restaurant is attached to. Otherwise you need to find street parking. Everyone has their own opinions of the best Chicago deep dish pizza. We have eaten at Gino's in Chicago and others. Gino's is our favorite. There is something about the sweetness of the sauce and the crust. Just scrumptious. Gino's East at Lake Geneva didn't disappoint. We ordered our pie and decided on an appetizer as the deep dish pizzas take nearly 45 minutes and we were hungry. We chose the artichoke dip and it was very good. Nice crunchy chips and the dip had pieces of artichoke and spinach, you could taste both. Our pizza finally came out of the oven and it met all of our expectations. Seems basic but many don't know that the deep dish pie's have the crust on the bottom, the fillings of your choice in the middle with the cheese and the sauce is on top. Like I mentioned Gino's sauce has a really nice sweetness to it, and the crust is crunchy and not to thick. It brought back so many memories of our times in Chicago, and reaffirmed why Gino's East is our favorite. The service was great and the views beautiful.
