    Cheese curds

$7 for this ? Doesn't even fill the bottom of the tray. Old cheese curds were better. What are these and what is this size portion. DO BETTER. Decided to give business but rather go to Culver's for them at this point.

If you're looking for an awesome pizza don't look any farther it's here !!!! Same goes for all of Ron's food it's exemplary. That's why he went from the Hot Dog King of Chicago to the Pizza Emperor of Wisconsin.

The other day, I wrote about how one can contribute to good service by pleasant interactions with the wait staff; last night, I observed how an outstanding server can be responsible for the entire evening experience being a good one. Having driven most every Interstate and their predecessors, the US Highways in this country, I'm always impressed with the number of bars and eateries dotting the landscape of the Upper Midwestern states, particularly Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. You can find some real gems out in the middle of nowhere, and while you wonder where the population is to support these establishments away from city centers, somehow they survive and thrive, some for generations. Nestled up in the "lake area" of the border of Wisconsin and Illinois, Upper Crust Pizza and bar is parked on County Road H, halfway between Genoa City, the first town over the Wisconsin state line, and Lake Geneva, Wisconsin's playground for locals and wandering Chicagoans. With enough seating for a horde, this is a great place to take the family or the fishing expedition, opening at 11 A daily, except closed Monday and Tuesday. Starting in Chicago over 50 years ago, the business relocated to Wisconsin in 1974, and occupies a modern roadside facility, where your children can be kept occupied for hours examining the collection of memoriabilia of all ilks that decorate the walls and ceilings. Pick one item and have your little shavers count how many of that type of item they find on the ceilings. Upper Crust serves a variety of specialty thin crust pizza, some pastas, Italian beef sandwiches, and wings. The pizza is "Chicago-style" thin (yes, thin crust IS popular in Chicago!), with a crust that starts crispy around the rim and works into chewy towards the center. Red sauce is mild with a slight influence of herbs, and the toppings are fresh and ample. Sausage is hand pulled chunks of flavorful pork. The "genuine Wisconsin cheese" is very generous, and has a nice "pull" to it as your bite progresses through each (square cut) slice. But the main selling point is Heather, mom by day, server by night, with a personality and service ethic to make your experience truly enjoyable. Doting, without being overbearing, Heather is a great example of a person who understands the primary premise of the hospitality industry. Thanks, Heather, for ensuring my first stop at the Upper Crust won't be my last.

    Spinach Florentine Sicilian style pizza

Traditional pub food bar and grill about 7-8 miles south of Lake Geneva. We like it because they serve a Sicilian style pizza that is a little thicker than thin crust and served with either traditional red sauce or white garlicky sauce and I've tried both and like both kinds. Their sausage is good the 1st time and the Spinach Florentine didn't have too much spinach and Ingredients tasted freshly made. The kids meals are a good size and chicken tenders as well as the spaghetti and meatball was a huge hit with the boys. I'm not a fan of their salads and their very few to choose from. The had a large selection of beers I noticed but I don't drink so I'm not familiar with them all. Service is really friendly and courteous and I'll be back! Don't forget they are cash only but they do have an ATM available. We'll have to try the traditional thin crust pizza next time maybe.

Ambiance: Ambiance and restaurant decor was one of the highlights of the night in my opinion. Lots of neat items and decor - interesting glasses, art, couches/chairs, leather menus, etc. Food: We had the Peruvian chicken wings and the wagyu beef tacos. I thought the Peruvian chicken wing dish was quite good - 9/10. The chicken was very flavorful and the salad was a decent size and tasted good. The wagyu tacos in my opinion was underwhelming for sure. It really tasted like pretty bland meat and the tortilla chips on the side were almost guaranteed straight from a bag (Aldi blue corn tortilla chips if I had to guess ). I wouldn't personally recommend the tacos. If I were to go again, I'd get the chicken wings again, and get the hangover salad instead of the tacos. Drinks: We had the coconut cocktail, the cucumber cocktail, and I had a beer from Nicaragua. All were tasty, albeit definitely lacking punch, i.e. I couldn't actually tell you with a fact if they contained alcohol. The Nicaraguan beer was super light and I liked it. There was a beer from Czechia but it was out of stock.

I've lived near Richmond for a long time and have been ordering pizza here for over two decades…read more This location has seen transitions, and I remember well what stood here before: La Gustosa--an institution in every sense of the word. Let me be direct. The pizza at Rosati's is no worse than Domino's. That's not meant as a compliment--it's meant as a baseline. It's consistent, predictable, and serviceable if you need something quick. But it's not in the same league as what this space once represented. Not close. In a strange way, part of me is grateful La Gustosa is gone and Rosati's took its place--because if La Gustosa were still here, I'd probably be 20 pounds heavier. That place had gravity. Rosati's doesn't. I've ordered here more than half a dozen times hoping for a different outcome. Each time, the result has been the same: acceptable, forgettable, and entirely lacking in the kind of care, flavor, or identity that makes you want to come back. And that's really the point of this review. Richmond is wide open. There is a genuine, almost glaring opportunity here for someone with vision and execution to step in and build something exceptional. Not just better pizza--but a real Italian kitchen. Or a serious Szechuan or Chinese concept. Or sushi done with precision. Or a proper steakhouse. Or Latin, Greek, or barbecue executed with intent. The demand is here. The competition, frankly, is not. Rosati's isn't offensive. It's just... a placeholder. And in a market like this, placeholders don't last forever. To the right entrepreneur: this town is waiting
