I've lived near Richmond for a long time and have been ordering pizza here for over two decades. This location has seen transitions, and I remember well what stood here before: La Gustosa--an institution in every sense of the word. Let me be direct. The pizza at Rosati's is no worse than Domino's. That's not meant as a compliment--it's meant as a baseline. It's consistent, predictable, and serviceable if you need something quick. But it's not in the same league as what this space once represented. Not close. In a strange way, part of me is grateful La Gustosa is gone and Rosati's took its place--because if La Gustosa were still here, I'd probably be 20 pounds heavier. That place had gravity. Rosati's doesn't. I've ordered here more than half a dozen times hoping for a different outcome. Each time, the result has been the same: acceptable, forgettable, and entirely lacking in the kind of care, flavor, or identity that makes you want to come back. And that's really the point of this review. Richmond is wide open. There is a genuine, almost glaring opportunity here for someone with vision and execution to step in and build something exceptional. Not just better pizza--but a real Italian kitchen. Pick up order. First time customer. Won't be going back. Ordered a large pizza and wings for $53? 16 inch cheese pizza says $18.99. I asked on the phone for mushroom, onions, green pepper. Pizza then cost $32? Got there to pick my food up. On the menu there is a 16" pizza with the same 4 ingredients listed for $26? I asked why I was paying $32. I hate to give one star and complain about price, but here goes. $48 for a small cheese and XL 3 topping. Sure if one was deep dish, but these were both thin crust. Picture shows lack of toppings. They used to load the toppings. I understand price increases because of supply chain issues, etc. I'm inside paying and make a comment about $50 is a little excessive for two pizzas... Another employee walks up, asks if I have a coupon. I respond no I was unaware. She says oh there's a free small cheese pizza coupon. So you're going to tell me about a coupon that I don't know exist or where to find, but not offer the coupon to me?? Will not be dining here anymore. The chopped salad here is top-rated! So often when I order salad at a restaurant I am picking out bits of brown, wilty, gross lettuce. Rosati's makes an amazing chopped salad with the freshest ingredients - crunchy, fresh, packed with stuff, and delicious. I have had it more than once and they never disappoint! They also have a better wine selection than many restaurants which only have a bottom-tier house wine. Very friendly staff. read more

Pizza was very bland. The sauce had no spices, just pain tomato sauce, and the toppings were just thrown on the top and not distributed evenly. The waitress wasn't rude, but not very friendly either. I'm finally getting around to writing my review after catering two parties. I catered food for a baby shower and for a graduation party. (June and August) Everything was so easy. From the time I made the phone call, to the time I set it out for everyone to eat! I spoke to the manager, Brian, who was so helpful and really made it less stressful for me, knowing that I didn't have to worry about making the food. Food was delicious. Many options on sizes. I would've given 5 stars but I tried for 15 min to place on line and gave up as I couldn't get past a certain point. Called order in which was large but one pizza was ordered with spinach but when we got back home, it was sausage. The ticket showed order correctly so mistake happened in the prep. Great stop for lunch or dinner, very convenient place for IL/WI resident's to meet. The food was good and priced accordingly. What makes this place stand out is the exceptional owner & staff. The owner takes a lot of pride in his establishment and it's obvious. The building is clean, well maintained & has a great comfortable atmosphere. While the pizza tasted good there were a few issues. You would think if you ordered 1/2 with certain toppings they would cut the pizza according to the line of toppings. Unfortunately that didn't happen. Of bigger concern was that not one of the four people I saw had masks on. I understand they have plexiglass at the register but how about the people preparing the food, walking around the kitchen, making deliveries, etc. very disappointed. This is a hidden gem that I'm trying to tell everyone about. They have 16 large flat screen TV s in there and not so loud that you can't hear yourself talk and enjoy family or friends. they have USB ports and all the outlets so you can charge your phone. They only use ingredients from Italy and you could taste it in the product that they put on the table. Best pizza that I have had in a long long time hands-down. The staff and owner are super friendly. Perfect environment to just hang out with friends or even enjoy an evening with your family. There's specials all throughout the week Monday through Thursday. Very good reasonable side salad that if you went anywhere else you would be charged two or three times that price. And the prices are so reasonable ! We were able to eat there with a 18 inch pizza with two toppings, three side salads and an appetizer and two alcoholic beverages and we were out the door a little over $50. It's clean it's comfortable it's safe everyone should be flocking to this location. Now to get to the best part : the pizza! Brian, the GM, was the bartender tonight but he was also handling keeping all the customers in the restaurant happy on a Friday night. He managed all the phones, making drinks and ensuring the other patrons are happy. I grew up in Richmond but hadn't been back in awhile. First, the place is a beautiful , comfortable, clean. I wanted to love it. waitress was great. Pizza was so-so, chicken strips meh!. This area has great pizza so I figured this place would too. Nothing wrong with the overall flavor but the crust looked pre made as the bottom looked perforated. Not quite a thin crust but very uniform and lacking flavor with the crust. I think it is probably purchased from a supplier already done. same with the chicken strips. Bland coating and gristle in 2 out of the 5 strips. Not a bad experience but the menu price does not warrant a crust like this. read more
