A real 2.5 star experience. Staff was very nice, place looked good and I really wanted to like everything. But I just couldn't. All 3 entrees came out wrong: one pizza had the wrong crust, one pizza had the wrong ingredients, and the cheesesteak also had the wrong ingredients. Also, the pizza was not good. The appetizers were good and the kids enjoyed their pasta, but if you call yourself a pizza place, have good pizza, please. And don't go 0-for-3 on getting the dishes correct. read more

Wow! Great laid back atmosphere. We stopped in as a table of 7 and Stacy provided incredible service. But wait, there's more. The pizza was outstanding! We had three versions of thin crust and we all liked their pizza. They use a corn meal crust and the pizzas were full of cheese with a excellent sauce, and had great toppings. I mostly dined on sausage and hot giardiniera but also tried the pepperoni and bacon. The third was a white pizza. We used to drive into Waukegan or Racine for our thin crust but NO MORE! Horrible across the board. Poor service, we were given a carafe of water with no glasses to drink from, appetizers with no plates to eat on. The main course took OVER AN HOUR to reach our table, and the restaurant had about 4 tables seated. C'mon man, is this a restaurant or a day care establishment for the employees?? I couldn't tell. Great little restaurant out in Kenosha County!!! We stopped by Luisa's for the first time and it was awesome!! We were greeted promptly and seated right away by a friendly hostess. They had a large variety of beers and sodas to choose from too. Our server told us that if we were planning to pay in cash that we would get a 30% discount on our entire bill! Wow!!! That's great!!! We started with dinner salads with homemade creamy garlic dressing. Salads were fresh green leaf cucumber, grape tomatoes, a slice of green pepper and croutons. The dressing was flavorful with not too much garlic and you could definitely tell it was homemade. So good!!! Our thin crust sausage pizza arrived piping hot with plenty of tasty sausage and tons of melted gooey mozzarella and perfect amount of tomatoes sauce. The sauce was fresh and complimented the pizza. The crust was a bit thicker than most thin crust pizza you find in K town and probably needs to be to hold the colossal amount of melted cheese. The atmosphere was quite lively and people kept coming in. By the time we left the place was hoppin!! Can't wait to go back to try their other menu items!!! I've heard that. this family business has been in business for several generations and have survived last years horrible floods. They are obviously doing something right!!! Excellent food, friendly service, reasonable prices PLUS a discount if you pay in cash what more can you ask for? This place is solid! Had 18" sausage & pepperoni & mushroom pizza thin crust it was awesome! We ordered the lasagna and it was very good, large portion and we also order Italian beef with pasta, the beef was so tender and plenty of it covered with cheese and layer on a bed of pasta, also large portion so large half went home and I had it for breakfast. Ordered the lasagna tonight! Amazing dish with layers of noodles, rich cheeses, Italian seasoning and incredible homemade marinara sauce! It was served with perfectly seasoned meatballs and garlic bread. I chose the house salad with homemade ranch dressing as my side. Everything was absolutely delicious, the portion was generous, cocktails were excellent, unbelievable service and a very clean restaurant! We had a group of four and everyone enjoyed their meals. Last night 5-11-24 my family and I tried to go to Luisa's to celebrate my Mother's Day. We are a military family and my husband leaves for a month on Sunday. I was with my elderly grandmother, 2 children, newborn, husband, and my mother. When we walked in we waited but, after 5 minutes nobody came to sit us. So, my grandma saw there was a table being set up and sat there. When we sat down a waitress Debbie I believe her name was; came up to us all disrespectful and I asked for a high chair to flip over for my newborn and she told me to grab it myself. Then told me to move to another table and at that table I arranged my baby so she was being held correctly by the car seat holder and the waitress kept rearranging her and said "f*ing spic listen*. At that moment my husband got up grabbed my kids and my grandma and said we are leaving and left. 15 years we have been coming here. 30 people in our family between all of those that come here. That ends today. It's a shame because the food is phenomenal but, I won't set food in a racist establishment. read more

The pizza is just amazing here...it seems to get better and better with every visit. A couple of weeks ago I was having a beer at the bar while waiting for my pizza and the owner asked if I wanted to sample some new pizza's he was working on. How could I say no? The first one was called a Hot Italian and it tasted just like a freshly made spicy beef sandwich. It was so good...I needed another beer to put out the flames. The pizza dough was about a medium crust, like a piece of french bread and it was covered with cheese, sliced roast beef and hot Giardiniera. What a great idea! The second one was so addicting. It was called a Cheeseburger Pizza with pickles on top. All I can say about this pizza is WOW! I have not been addicted to a pizza...since the Taco pizza from 1985. The flavors just jumped out at me. It was kind of like a really really good slider from White Castles. The cheese mixture was very tasty along with the seasoned ground beef...the hint of ketchup and mustard topped with pickles. I am having a dream about it right now. Check out the photos I took at the bar...both pizza's were so good I had to talk them. Been ordering from Luisas for over 15 years. Consistently good. We tried the lasagna and I enjoyed it. Included meatballs, garlic Texas toast and a salad. Thought we would try a new place for Friday eating out. Seen ads for Luisa's so decided to give them a try. Went for their Friday fish fry, arrived toward the later end of the evening. We were seated right away as the main crowd was was primarily already leaving, but after placing our order we waited nearly 45 minutes for it to be served. The food was really good so no complaints there. Our server was very pleasant but we were not really given any updates between the time we placed our order and actually were served our food. Luisa's is that little hole in the wall your friend drags you to for the best food in town. Where it lacks in bells and whistles it certainly makes up for it in their service and pizza. So far we've tried the thin with corn meal on the bottom and pan pizza. Both were outstanding. I preferred the pan just because it had an overwhelming amount of cheese on it. Can't wait to go back.
