Yummy quiche and macaroons!!
Chandra J.

Such a wonderful and relaxing spot to meet for tea, cafè, or a small bite. My friend wanted to treat me to a late birthday gift and suggested this spot. I walked in and immediately was welcomed by the beautiful colors, tranquil atmosphere, and colorful display of macaroons and sandwiches. It took a little while for a waiter to come to us, but when he did he was patient and friendly. I decided to order one of their menu el día and got the quiche lorraine, mantequilla tea, and agua con gas. We ordered a few macarrons--vanilla, caramel, raspberry, pistachio, chocolate, and a couple of others. It was difficult to choose which ones we wanted as there were about 20 to choose from. The quiche lorraine was delicious! Just the right amount of flakiness, sweetness, and a tiny bit of crunch. I loved that there were chunks of ham within the quiche--it was a nice surprise! The surprise I did not enjoy was the hard texture of the vegetable chips that came on the side. I ended up eating four and could not eat anymore. My friend liked them, so she took the rest. Now the macaroons were just amazing. Each one had a unique taste with a little bit of sweetness. Each one seemed to melt in your mouth and you kept wanting more. My friend loved the raspberry one so much that she ate all of it and I see why--I took one to go and ate it when I got home, wow, just delicious!! Again not very sweet, but just the right amount of flavor and sweetness that makes you want more! Not bad on the price either, for the two of us it was only €16!! I will definitely be back here when I have a craving for something sweet!

Place is a bit hard to find, no parking since it's in a small corner of the street. Great environment and service, the music and odor is really pleasant and comforting. The food portion is reasonable and large enough to feed an average-appetite person. The waiters are really helpful and fast paced in action. Sweets are pretty good, and salty sandwiches are okay. Food tastes nice and drinks are good enough for the price. The price is acceptable but a bit high.

This place is super cute and has amazing cakes and tarts but service was slow... I'm not blaming our water at all (he was great) but a place of this size having one server is ridiculous. Please employ another waiter!

Had a fancy breakfast with my friends for a special occasion and it was perfect! They have cakes and pastries. We went there around 10.30 in the morning on a Thursday for a breakfast, and the 6 of us were able to be seated immediately although the place was quite occupied. We tried to book it in advance but they were not taking reservations. There were a variety of cakes to pick from, and I picked a rasberry and chocolate cake and my boyfriend a mill-feuille. Both of them were super good! The chocolate mousse on top was on point. I don't know what flavor exactly, I think maybe it was some kind of liquor that made it special. mmmm. The portion was small and the price is not the cheapest, but I want to go back soon for the quality of their cakes!

I had a Croissant de Frambuesa which was really good and almost dangerously over-filled with a lot of marmelade. Worth it!

Returned to this place again, great food and drinks, good prices, great service although they really need to have an English menu - would be 5 stars if it had one for sure! Also really liked the video playing of them making the baked goods in store - also worth noting they were dog friendly inside

Very quaint place with a beautiful ambiance. Can't help but take pictures here. Excellent coffee and desserts. The service was fast and they could assist in English too. We tried the carrot cake and the macaroons. They were amazing. Definitely a place to keep on visiting.

A nice place for coffee, tea, sandwiches and sweet stuff. Their specialty is of course the little sweet cakes and macaroons. Tasty did, good coffee. Recommended!

Haute desserts for sure! Got Chocolate-Raspberry tart and enjoyed every single bite of it. I loved the ambience too. This place doesn't take reservations and does get busy so prepare to wait a few mins before the table frees up.

My favorite, bougie, treat-yourself stop in Madrid. Food is delicious and it's a great place to work for hours.

Unless you have the appetite of Mike Tyson, plan on sharing one slice between 1 (maybe 2) friends. I've never had any of the other food, but given the lines I see on the weekends for brunch, I'm sure it's delicious too. Mur is super cute inside and well worth the visit. Come before 10pm and get the 'Gin-Cake' special, which is a GinTonic and piece of carrot cake for 10€. Given that the carrot cake is normally 4.90€, picking up a G&T for 5€ ain't a bad deal! Or if you aren't in the mood for alcohol, Mur has an awesome selection of Teas too.

Service was quick but took a longg time to bring our check which is pretty typical in Europe honestly. The mini sweet brunch was only 10 euro and included a hot drink (tea, coffee), cold drink, croissant, and choice of baked apples or yogurt with granola and chocolate chips. The croissant was warmed and yummy. The baked apples topped with whipped cream were served cold, but they definitely would've tasted better warm. Overall: cozy, affordable place near Plaza España for breakfast if you're not too hungry or in a rush

Located around la Plaza de las Comendadoras, it may not seem like much from the outside. However, if you do happen to visit you won't be disappointed. They have tables available outside on the patio. On the inside they have quite the expansive space with tables for eating, a large table for folks to study/work and then bar seats along some windows. Their menu is amazing. They have so many choices. We ended up dining here for lunch on two different occasions. On the first day we ordered a BLAT sandwich, and a crispy chicken salad. Our little guy had their Greek yogurt with nuts and berries. All the flavors were delicious. On the second day we had nasi goreng and the yellow curry. It's amazing that with such a diverse menu, every dish tasted excellent. The service and staff were also great. On both days they were on point. Busy helping everyone either inside or out. Always polite and quick to stop by when we wanted to order or ask a question. We will definitely miss this spot. I wish one would open up in NYC someday!

I was jet lagged and stumbled upon this place while looking at Yelp in the morning. I opted to order the Banana Coffee and Salmon Breakfast Bagel, which came out to roughly $22 USD. The Salmon Breakfast Bagel was delicious, would order again. Overall I would say a good experience, they spoke English which was nice. Would I go again? Yes!
