This location appears nowhere in Yelp, and in their own website, has no number. Don't dispair, because I am here to review it!
My friend and I came in for breakfast and for snack time. The interior has been well kept to look like a vintage bakery. Upstairs is modern and white, but the elevator still looks vintage, which I loved.
For breakfast, we chose a mini pastries sampler with coffee. A group of fellow American girls came in, very confused, and didn't really order any of the good stuff off the menu. One even ordered un huevo pasado por agua (which isn't exactly a hardboiled egg...it's boiled to the point where it's cooked and runny, but not boiled). This is a normal Spanish food, but not so much a breakfast item...I don't know why it was on the menu, and I'm not sure why this particular girl ordered it, while all her other friends ordered pastries (since, duh, it's a bakery), but she was totally grossed out when it came out, and she debated whether or not to tell the waiter that this wasn't "fully cooked" and "was not healthy" and "gross." I shook my head and loudly told my friend that the situation was pretty dumb.
We deeply enjoyed the pastries every single time we went, and it closed at 12 on the weekends and at 10 pm during the week...great hours ;) read more
