Tiramisu
Kady B.

THIS is the place we've been looking for all week. The service was perfect - the waiter even took the time to explain some of the more complex specials. The bread was dense and tasty, perfect for getting that last bit of sauce. Grilled octopus app was delectable. Very tender, very flavorful. The lasagna was perfect, as was the carbonara. It was easily the best meal we've had in this area and in the city overall. Mmm the tiramisu....get the tiramisu.

Free wifi - check Functional air conditioning - check Attentive wait staff- check Friendly owner - check Scrumptious food - check We got a winner ! Ok so all those positives aside, its a nice restaurant on a rather busy street in the Vatican/Rienzso area. I was out wined so I opted for some craft beer and that was not common for Rome. Man have I been missin out, they sure had some good beer. I was annoyed at my self for not havign found out earlier! Several bottles later, we order some a cheese plate and as we went to town on it they brought us some complimentary bruschettas ! Sweet. That lasted about 10 seconds - god it was good ! I really dont remember lunch, but I recollect it being very very satisfied and they also had a 15 Euro lunch special. The food was reasonably priced, and the service really stood out and was just excellent. They even helped me find a place to get football jerseys (for souvenirs ) and gave real neat directions to get there. Loved it ! I should try dinner sometime !

What a great find! We looked for a nearby restaurant with great reviews and found this charming restaurant. Alberto, our server, was adorable and truly knew the meaning of customer service. Would love to take him to the US and have him train servers there. The food was delicious, the mango salad so yummy. The atmosphere so charming and everything reasonably priced. Definitely will return.

I was worried that, as a celiac, I wouldn't be able to eat anything in Italy-- the Mecca of pasta-- but this restaurant allowed me to have an authentic Italian experience without any worries. The waiter spoke clear English and told me anything (except for eggplant Parmesan) could be made gluten free. I went for the linguine and prawns/octopus/mussels dish and was amazed how delicious the meal was! It was really wonderful from start to finish. I recommend coming if you are gluten free!!!

It was difficult to find a good place around the Vatican area just because it's so touristy and full of places that are not good- but this was a winner! We stopped by for a late dinner. Staff was welcoming and friendly. We ordered some chicken with curry sauce and beef pieces with potatoes! We even ordered an extra side of their potatoes (my favorite). Food was good and tasty. We looked around and others had ordered pasta dishes and steak, and some were doing the full 4-5 course meal... All looked good. Prices were around 12-20 per dish. The higher being if you wanted steak.

Super friendly staff. Free quick wifi (faster than our hotel). Finally something besides pasta!! Eggplant Parmesan was good. Curry chicken was good. The breaded beef was okay. I just didn't like the lady who came to take the money really quick and didn't give me change back.

We arrived in Rome from Seattle, WA around noon and took a walking tour so we wouldn't fall asleep. On our way back to the apartment my kids (ages 12 and 10) and I were looking for a place to eat dinner and saw this place. It looked nice from the outside, so we went in. We did not have a reservation and were not well-dressed, and after a moment's hesitation on their part they seated us. The food was excellent, and so far is the best I have had in the city. Both kids got the gnocchi, and it was the best gnocchi any on us have ever had. My son proclaimed that he was never eating gnocchi in the states again, and I would have to agree. My rigatoni carbonara with artichokes was amazing. We will be back!

This was a quest for Gluten Free options besides no bread. The food was prepared with GF bread and was delicious. There staff was friendly, and attentive to our needs. All was perfect until we had an allergic reaction to the mussels, not their cooking, but due to an unknown food allergy. The opener actually ran to the pharmacy to get the appropriate remedy. Where else would that happen that they worried more about the patron than place. When in Rome, do as the Romans do and eat here........

Delicious meal from beginning to end. Didn't have many tables when we were there but by the time we left it started getting packed. Had started with the grilled octopus, I had the special which was the prawn fettuccine, boyfriend had the pumpkin ravioli , finished with the tiramisu and cheesecake. Better than expected since it was a completely empty restaurant. So far best place we had in Rome.

Splendid stop near the Vatican for a relaxing lunch. Food was fantastic! Good spices. Just enough off the main tourist path to feel like a secret. Soothing music and attentive staff. Loved the Gnocchi and sea bass! Salmon was a little fishy for one of us. Charming overall.

Wonderful discovery! This restaurant is busy even on a weeknight at 22:30. Prompt service, delicious dishes and excellent wines at a fair price. I had pasta with a cream sauce, bacon, spinach and saffron. For dessert I had the tiramisu. It may be the best tiramisu I have ever tasted. Perfectly powdered with coco and fluffy texture. Definitely try this place. You will not regret it.

This place was great. It is mostly pasta which is great but in that area of town hard to beat the atmosphere made it a 5 star experience.

Review # 1200 After…read moresome shopping on the Via cola Di Riemzo, we were ready for lunch. This spot was a Yelp find. We arrived just before they opened at 12:30. We asked for a table outside and the kind lady asked us if we had a reservation (oh oh). We didn't. No problem as we took our pick of one of the tables. Two levels inside with a small Bar in the back. Before we knew it, outside seating was full and inside also filled up-a good sign. We ordered a liter (ended up being too much but when in Rome...) of their house Red and enjoyed it. For starters, we ordered the Fried Artichokes (thick breading and will order the Roman style with garlic/vinegar next time), fried Zucchini and Suppli-Cacio Pepe. The Suppli was delicious and was enjoyed the most. For main, it was Pasta Carbonara (Guanciale )-Proper carbonara and the streak of not having a bad version of this dish in Rome continues. The sliced Beef with mushrooms was also delicious -super tender and thin pieces of beef (medium rare as requested). We asked if the Tiramisu was house-made. Our server answered, "yes, and I am the one who makes it." How could we not order after that?! One of the best Tiramisus we've had. Perfect balance of coffee dipped lady fingers with cream-delicious! Our Server was kind, attentive and full of hustle -she was covering a lot of ground. Don't miss this Gem if you are in the Prati district.

I had possibly the most amazing chick food pasta a girl could imagine. Girls know what girl food is. The pasta in Italy is just better -obviously. But then put all sorts of girl flavors on it like Lemon and Orange, just lightly enough, zest with a small hint of cheese-..... omgosh. Yes, yes, and yes. Need my hubs to replicate at home. He is going to be busy trying to perfect this. Tagliatelle with orange and lemon parmesan. This was it. It was the best. Everything else we ordered was amazing as well. Wait outside. They don't have a sign telling you to wait, no server telling you to wait. You wait out there, wondering if you're in the right place, but then people stand behind you and you're like - oh! I'm here. This is the place. There are possibly 4 tables inside. It's small. I read about them being rude- we did not have that problem. In fact, they made a mistake and we kindly let them know we ordered something else- they corrected it and were nice about it.

So happy we did as this place definitely delivers. There is seriously like 8 tables in the dining room so expect a wait in line but trust me, it's worth it. We waited outside for about 25 minutes. They do take your order while in line so the wait for food (once you do get a table) is abbreviated. Out of the world pastas and the pistachio tiramisu is seriously out of this world. Inexpensive table wine rounds out a great meal. This is the type of place I love to go to. It's quaint, zero pretense and delivers on its food. A great find!

Our kind waiter bright over water, bread and breadsticks. No olive oil, no butter just dry. For our lunch I decided on the cacio e Pepe and Lisa opted for the ragú. Both were delicious. For dessert we were told the owners mom made lemon cake so that was a no brainer. It was fabulous and paired well with espresso. Our waiter also brought us Amaro. It's a licorice like liqueur enjoyed as a digestif. Definitely an acquired taste that reminded me of Aguardiente. We were both satisfied with our selections. Our meals started with bread service, both fresh bread and packaged breadsticks. We didn't receive any olive oil which might be the norm in Italy. For dessert, we opted for a slice of their featured lemon torta. It was enjoyable and we paired it with espresso. Finally, our server offered us a popular digestivi - Amaro. It reminded me of Jägermeister and I wasn't a fan. But I appreciated the hospitality and kindness of his gesture. In summary, we left content and with full bellies. Our server did a great job and the manager or owner acknowledged us and seemed to appreciate our business. All in all, this lunch was a positive experience.
