Based out of Atlanta, this confectionery is run by Laura Curtis, who started a Kickstarter campaign back in '13 to offer marshmallows to the peeps. They are most famous for their marshmallow-cookie sandwiches, with flavors such as Raspberry Hibiscus, Spiked Espresso, Vanilla Salted Caramel, 80% Chocolate, Mint Chocolate, Southern Favorite Red Velvet, and seasonal flavors like Pumpkin Ginger; they even have a key-lime flavored, limited-time Pride Celebration marshmallows! They also have mini marshmallows, petit beurre (shortbread-style) cookies, as well as the option to customize flavors (perfect for favors or gifts)! All are made using Fair Treat chocolate, rBST free butter, whole vanilla beans, and/or dried hibiscus flowers, all preservatives/corn syrup/eggs/colorings-free :D In addition, the marshmallows are kosher and gluten-free :D I really love their Vanilla Marshmallows, as they are literally pillows of heaven - soft, fluffy, perfectly sweetened, and so addicting! Just a heads up that the Yelp page for this business is out of date. It is now really just a store front for the mail order marshmallow business that also sells popsicles. The popsicles are ok. Came here based on the Yelp reviews, and was very disappointed to discover they no longer serve ice cream or any desserts except pre-packaged marshmallows and fancy popsicles. I was so disappointed and I'd like to get my money back! These little marshmallow treats look so good in the package, and I couldn't wait to try one! Although the inside (marshmallow part) was good - like a regular marshmallow and you can get a whole bag for $2, the outside (cookie part) was hard as a rock and crumbled. Although they serve ice cream, Malvi's primary focus is in their namesake marshmallow treats. Call it a modern twist on the s'more, if you will, but even that seems unfair to what these treats actually are. The actual store front is quite small, so there's no indoor seating. Most of the space inside is devoted to crafting ice cream and Malvis. If that amount of space is what they need to make something as good as what they do, then give them more. I ordered a vanilla hot fudge sundae for my first visit. Smooth ice cream, thick whipped cream, sprinkled with pralines, and served with a deconstructed and toasted Malvi 'mallow, it was the most interesting sundae I think I've ever had. For what the price was, however, I felt the serving size was a bit small. Malvi is great if you're looking for a cold snack on a hot Georgia afternoon, and even better if you're stopping in to cool your mouth down after a meal at the neighboring Lake Burrito. Aaaamazing marsh mellow sandwiches. I had them for the first Time years ago at bee hive when they were small. No they've turned big time and the product is just as delicious. This is my new favorite little gem in Cumming! My husband and I shared a salted caramel sundae, and it was the best sundae I've ever had. It was a decent size for sharing, but so good, I'll get my own next time! It was very clean and quaint, everyone working there was lovely. I accidentally found this store so I tried it. It seemed like an odd thing to sell exclusively. The marshmallows were very expensive, about five dollars for a very small package. I disliked the taste. Whatever the ingredient was, besides sugar, had an artificial taste. They also had ice cream. That was much better, although rather high in price. Overall, the owner was very nice and I hope she can make a go of this unusual store. There were no other customers and she sold only these two items. I don't plan on returning, but you might give it a try. read more

Serving size was very small and overpriced. A scoop should be a scoop, not what my boyfriend called a mini scoop. Ice cream was all right but not anything special. Malvi was just a toasted marshmallow. Even the bowl and spoon were cheap and flimsy making them hard to use. We had to sit in our car as there was no seating. I really wanted to like this place but I won't be back. I want to support local businesses but they have to get somewhere in the realm of reality. read more

I had to check this place out after hearing about them quite a bit. Happily it lived it up to my expectations and their marshmallow cookies absolutely blew me away. They are a unique and tasty treat which come in packages of four with various type to choose from. I bought a package of the Vanilla Salted Caramel and they didn't last long. The cookie is delicious, just the right amount of sweetness and crunch to compliment the marshmallow inside. I will definitely be back to try the other flavors. New little place -opened in May. Homemade ice cream from natural ingredients - about 4 flavors plus 2 sorbets. Specializes in unique marshmallow treats. Owners are super nice! Had the chocolate ice cream which was very good- nice chocolate taste without being too overpowering. Coffee flavor was ok. Ice cream is sort of like a gelato - more icey than creamy. Enjoyed it!
