I asked Velton (best bartender ever) if there are ever any fights, and he said no, we stop trouble at the door.

Being British I've been on the hunt for some home away from home food in the area for a while …read more I was very suspect at first but when we gave it a shot. The food was great , tasted like home . I got the breakfast which was great , could have used a few more mushrooms but overall great. My wife got the fish fingers which were great with mushy peas. Delicious. The service was great. The ambiance was bit dark but easy to get over

I have Celiac Disease. This is the only London pub style restaurant that I am aware of in DFW that…read morecan accommodate gluten and dairy allergies. They have a designated gluten-free fryer. In addition to the food, they offer gluten-free beers and cider. Service was excellent and our server was knowledgeable about food preparation (in terms of allergies). The food is good but I find it extremely rich. The onion rings are fried in a thick batter. The gluten-free gravy tastes amazingly like "regular" gravy. It's really nice to have multiple gluten-free dessert options, even if we rarely have room for dessert. I recommend that you make reservations for holidays when they have specials or if you think it would be busy (ex: St. Patrick's Day). After this visit, I did get extremely sick for about 24 hours after eating here. It might have been the richness of the food not agreeing with me or it might have been something else.

I thought I had paid off and I was just leaving the change, but the bartender quickly came over with all my change, that was outstanding but again ambience is good. Bloody Mary excellence. I don't drink alcohol, but I do love food, and Fridays is Fish and Chips day! My partner took me along for lunch, I am usually not off work during that time, and the fish and chips were great. The breading and Cod was perfectly cooked. I even enjoyed the coleslaw which was house-made. A little vinegar on the chips and ketchup on the fries and I was so happy this place is a walk away from my house. I wish I had gone sooner! Food is only served during lunch hours, but there is a family dinner on Monday evenings that is free. I have not made it to that yet, but intend to go! Last week was fried pork chips. I can't believe I missed it! The dining area is in the back of the bar. They say they are going to redecorate that space and it needs it as it looks like an after thought. There is no good table arrangement, and sitting at the small bar is awkward when trying to eat. Get it to go, or eat anywhere you can and enjoy the conversation. My complete meal would have been 5 stars if the fries had been hand cut and house made, but the fish and coleslaw make it 5 stars anyway, and coming in at $10 you can't beat it. I will definitely go back, and soon! They also offer catfish and sometimes fried shrimp. Go on Friday and enjoy the cool old building, the friendly staff, and casual atmosphere. More importantly, enjoy the food!
