My husband actually picked Dr Ashfaei based on reviews and after a few positive visits I decided to give him a try. Overall I'm extremely pleased with my experience with him and the practice. I love having the ability to communicate with him online and having access to my test results easily. I appreciate Dr Ashfaei's approach- he is kind and takes his time with patients and actually listens. We don't always see eye to eye but I always feel respected and understand his point of view. He also referred me to Dr Chia who is a top specialist and has helped me get answers for a medical issue that had been undiagnosed for the last 8 years. I have now referred my mom to him. She also has lots of resistance about going to the doctor but loves him, his approach, and bedside manner. I also notice that anytime we need to get in last minute for a flu or something like that, his office is always accommodating. His nurse, Jessica, is also kind and goes above and beyond to support patients. Great experience and highly recommend. If you are looking for a new doctor I really recommend him and his office.

He needed help with a DMV medical evaluation form -- something that requires a licensed provider to review and confirm basic medical information. The office/doctor refused to assist and offered no meaningful explanation or guidance. The interaction felt dismissive and showed very little regard for a patient who has been under their care for a few years. This experience has caused us to lose trust in this provider, and we will be moving his care elsewhere. Patients deserve support, especially when dealing with important legal and medical requirements.

I have a PPO because I like selecting my doctors so I was weary of going to see a doctor I hadn't researched or selected. Since I feel I get amazing care with my current medical provider I decided to take her recommendation. I didn't know what to expect from my appointment with Dr. Duffin. I have a very limited understanding of what rheumotologists do. Dr, Duffin took the time to pull up my medical records on some medical record sharing software system. He went through about 5 years of my medical history asking me questions and reading over lab reports, doctor's notes and my MRI. Dr. Duffin was able to tell me what was wrong with me, what I should expect and how I can treat it. He took the time to show me things online, explain to me what he was showing me and he printed up some materials for me to take home and read. He was very patient in answering all my questions. He ordered a few more blood tests and called me on a Sunday to report the results when I called his office with a question he called me back on a weeknight at 10pm. I'm not sure if the Sunday and 10pm calls are for everyone, but I didn't mind. If you're in the market for a rheumotologist, I highly recommend Dr. Duffin!

I rarely find a physician who is sympatico with my condition, issues and many physical challenges and am most appreciative of someone who is competent as well as caring. High recommend for those who are seeking assistance for Quality of Life issues and dealing with a staff who are polite, expedient and extremely helpful.

He's attentive, thorough, and caring, and I've always felt good about the internal medicine care I receive from him. My previous concerns were with the office experience, not with Dr. Wadhwa. More recently, my interactions with both the front desk and medical assistant have been much more positive. They've been helpful, courteous, and professional, and the overall experience feels noticeably better. I purposely waited before updating my review because I wanted to make sure I wasn't basing it on just one good visit. I'm glad to see the improvement and think it's only fair to acknowledge it

I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Wadhwa and will not be returning…read more From the start of the appointment, he repeatedly interrupted me while I was trying to explain my symptoms (lower back pain) and my recent urgent care visit. Before allowing me to finish, he dismissed my concerns and stated, "I'm not a back doctor, I can't help you." When I attempted to provide context, including a prior back injury and medical records I brought with me, he refused to review them and instead insisted--multiple times--that my pain was solely due to my weight. He did not examine me, ask follow-up questions, or consider my medical history. His tone was dismissive, and at times he appeared to roll his eyes when I tried to speak. When I shifted the conversation to the reason for my visit--discussing my treatment plan and medication (Mounjaro)--he again interrupted me and incorrectly insisted that the medication cost was $300. I explained that my pharmacy quoted $1,300 and offered to show proof, but he dismissed my input and continued to argue rather than listen. Throughout the visit, I felt talked over, disregarded, and disrespected. I left without my concerns being addressed and without any meaningful care or guidance. Patients deserve to be listened to and treated with respect--this experience did not meet that standard. I would not recommend this provider based on my experience.

When you call the office, your call is handled by a third-party answering service whose only function appears to be taking messages. If you need to speak directly with the office, it is nearly impossible, as they will not transfer your call to the appropriate staff member. More concerning was a recent experience involving my brother. He had an appointment and was evaluated by the doctor. During the visit, it felt as though I had to repeatedly provide information and guidance regarding his care. After the examination, my daughter, who accompanied us, immediately asked my brother to wash his hands because she noticed dried blood on the examination table where he had been sitting. This is completely unacceptable. Exam rooms and examination tables should be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between patients. The blood was clearly visible along the side of the table and should have been noticed when the paper covering was changed. It gave the impression that basic cleanliness and patient safety protocols were not being followed. I am extremely disappointed and disgusted by this experience. As a longtime UCLA patient, I expected a much higher standard of care, cleanliness, and attention to patient concerns. I sincerely hope this feedback is taken seriously and that steps are taken to improve both patient service and infection control practices.
