I did the Jasper Wildlife and Sightseeing tour with Maligne Adventures through Viator. It was a 6-hour tour that went through a number of spots such as Jasper National Park, Medicine Lake, Maligne Lake and a few others I honestly can't recall from memory. I won't give too much away regarding the itinerary but we did run into some wildlife. Along the way we encountered Osprey, Eagles, Deer, Elk, Baby Big Horned Sheep and it was fascinating to watch them in their habitat. Binoculars are recommended but if you don't bring your own, the tour bus supplies a few free of charge, for convenience. Our tour guide was engaging and funny. I learned a lot about the devastating 2024 Jasper wildfire and how the town has recovered since then. There is so much backstory that the local and national news didn't cover. It was an added bonus that our tour guide (who is local) gave us the real feel, behind the scenes experience of what happened to him and what he encountered on that fateful day. We did minimal walking making this tour ideal for those who prefer lighter activity. Overall, this is a good tour to add to your itinerary and I would recommend taking this tour if you have 2-3 days to spare in Jasper. read more

I wish I could say better things about this place, but if you are in a small group do NOT use this place. I was in a group of 17, and out of the 17 of us 15 were in an extremely loud, rude, and disrespectful family. They not only disrupted the trip and disrespected the crew, but they completely crossed my boundaries to a point I was almost in tears. Maligne rafting did nothing about this. We were completely outnumbered and I felt unsafe. I cannot believe they allowed this to happen. Please have a modicum of respect for small groups in the future rather than just trying to squeeze every dollar out of us. read more

my friends and i did the sunwapta river 4 hour rafting trip when we visited jasper. it was a rainy monday in june, and there were 10 people on the trip, my friends and i making up four of the group. we got to ride together on our raft with three guides, whilst the other people on the trip who were in couples all rode together on another raft. we had so much fun! the guys on our raft were really great - friendly and talkative and explaining all about the things we could see around us as we cruised to the rapids. the water was high so we had a really fun (& wet!) ride, and had a total blast! everything was so well organised, right down from walking into the store on patricia street, to getting in the van, travelling to the starting point, changing into our gear, setting off into the river, getting back out of our gear and back to jasper. i highly recommend this company - fun, friendly and awesome! read more

We used the shuttle service (about $30) to hike the Skyline travel. We parked at the Signal Trail head and were brought to the Maligne Lake Trail head. At the end of our 30 mile hike, our car was right there. This is definitely the recommended way to hike the Skyline Trail. The shuttle was very comfortable and reliable. What a great adventure today!! I was scared out of mind.... however they made me feel way better about the experience. I would def love to do this again when the weather is a bit warmer. We went rafting on the Fraser River with Class III+ Rapids. It was really fun, and our guide was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area, from the best hiking trails to surprising natural phenomena. The trip itself deserves five stars but I should mention that we bought a package that included rafting and another local activity and online it seemed that both were run by the same company. It turns out that the companies are totally separate and the package included two activities with conflicting times. We eventually got our refund for the other one (Skytram or something) but it was a hassle and neither staff was helpful during the process. read more

Our rafting trip was amazing! We had 12 people in our group so it was a perfect fit for two rafts. We did the sunwapta excursion and had a blast. The weather was perfect and we couldn't have asked for better guides. We had a lot of first timers who absolutely loved it and want to make another rafting trip soon. A must do!! read more
