The cabins are old but beautiful and cozy. The only issue we have is: our cat who travels with us and they don't allow cats. Their restaurant is awesome! A Greek family is running the restaurant and I have had the best Greek food here! Everything is delicious and high quality! If you don't want the Greek food, they have delicious pizzas and burgers too. In general, I always make sure visiting them when I'm in Jasper and I highly recommend this business! :)

Due to a mixup with hotel reservations in Jasper, we found this "resort" through a Google search…read more I'm so glad that we stayed here...the cabins are nestled in the mountains just down the road from the hot springs, and the surroundings are breathtaking. We stayed in a 2 bedroom bungalow. While not a true 2 bedroom (there are no doors separating the spaces, just sliding plastic curtains), it more then met our needs. There was an eat-in kitchen, bathroom, living room, fireplace...it's rustic but very charming. There is no TV (as you're nestled in the mountains with limited reception), so you may have to talk to your traveling companions (we were still early in our trip so we were still at that point...lol). Check-in was a breeze. Finding our cabin was a breeze. We visited their on-site store to purchase some playing cards, and they had none...but the person at the counter offered us a deck to borrow. It's literally a mom and pop kinda place, with very friendly staff. As it's a good 20-30 minutes outside of Jasper (the drive off the highway to the bungalows is worth it alone), we opted to dine at the on-site restaurant. Service, food, quality, and ambiance were all excellent (who knew you could find greek food in the middle of nowhere). We were told by our server that the resort had just reopened a few weeks earlier, as a storm washed out the only road into and out of the area. The only negative I could think of is that we only booked one night... would have lived to stay for another night or two. Two thumbs up

I should mention if you have the card, you maybe able to get discount from some hotels too! Look into it in advance! Location is great for getting into Jasper townsite as well as exploring the national park. The setting is absolutely stunning along the Athabasca River, sunrises were epic. We saw elk on the grounds, and had daily visits from the Canadian geese. We stayed in one bedroom cabins with queen beds and everything needed for a comfortable, super clean stay including daily housekeeping (who does that anymore?), fireplace, well-stocked kitchen and patios perfect for coffee or happy hour. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant, both very good meals and service, also with great mountain views. Highly recommend this place, and the price can't be beat. It's a cabin - not a fancy resort - but that's exactly what we were looking for after 5 nights in a very nice condo in very busy Canmore.

The more we chewed, the better it tasted, and my friend even wanted another basket of bread. We ordered the RANGER'S TENDERLOIN and MOUNTAINEER RIB-EYE STEAK. Their medium rare was a bit more on the rare side compared to other steakhouses, but the meat still had a rich flavor. It's just that the meat inside was rarer and harder to chew. The sauce that came with the MOUNTAINEER RIB-EYE STEAK was super delicious, adding more flavor to the meat. However, the sauce for the RANGER'S TENDERLOIN was avocado salsa verde, which I wasn't quite used to, so I ended up eating the meat plain. The side dish, truffled mashed potatoes, was too salty, and I gave up on it after eating less than half!

I have mixed feeling about the trip to the Glacier. Don't know if that is something that I would have booked myself. It's a "cool" idea to be up on a Glacier, but it can also be a bit anticlimactic. You get driven out there in these hard "big as earth mover" buses, then parked, left to wander for 20 mins, then back on the noisy transports. Then there is the environmental impact of being up there, and the fact that climate change is already doing a job on the glaciers. Without waxing to much philosophy, one could say that about the entire travel industry. Anyways, it was a beautiful day, lots of sunshine, fresh air (once they turned off the diesels engines), the glacier and surrounding area is a treasure, and I was among people I love. Not a bad combination. Enjoy!
