Beverly Hills City Hall is absolutely stunning. It is definitely a local landmark to check out…read morewhether you are a tourist or a local. The outside of the building is definitely picture perfect in its beauty and architectural design. City Hall was originally built in 1932. It has been renovated since then but the classic gorgeous style has been maintained throughout the years. It is Spanish Renaissance style and it's tall like a castle with a dome at the top. It is across the street from the Beverly Hills library and police department and next to the fire station. Sometimes there are light displays on the building at night for special occasions and holidays. There is even a nice courtyard in the middle. City Hall is a voting venue for residents and it is a nice place to go vote. It is also a fully functioning building for the city's administrators. Did you know you could rent space in Beverly Hills City Hall for your event or conference or meeting? I had no idea this was a possibility until I was invited to an event there recently (a lecture). The room that is available is called "The Gallery". It can seat up to 120 people or 150 people for a standing room only event. The room has large windows and a beautiful ceiling and lighting. The venue allowed outside food as my event was catered. The bathrooms were also very nicely kept up and very clean. It was a little bit difficult to find the room but I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at how lovely it was. We parked on the lot on Crescent which is where the organizer told us to park. There was ample parking and it was validated for our event.

Historical building with beautiful architecture. Wonderful visit if you are a tourist. However,…read morelittle knowledge when it comes to getting information from the representatives who work there. The security guard was helpful in trying to get me to the appropropriate person to talk to, but overall, it seemed like no one knew who would be the best point of contact to get information, even with me having dated and signed documents from BH archive.

As a wedding videographer and photographer based in Southern California, I've had the opportunity…read moreto work at many venues throughout the region. Each location offers its own personality, but Adamson House continues to stand out. The combination of historic architecture, hand-painted tile details, and the unobstructed Malibu coastline creates a setting that feels both intimate and expansive. Lighting throughout the property changes beautifully as the sun moves, especially during golden hour when the ocean backdrop becomes incredibly dynamic on camera. From a production standpoint, the layout allows for a natural flow between ceremony, portraits, and reception. The oceanfront lawn offers open space for wide scenic compositions, while the Spanish-style courtyard adds depth and texture for more detailed, artistic shots. My team documented a wedding there under our studio name, Prince Weddings (PrinceWeddings.net), and the experience reinforced how well this venue photographs and films when thoughtfully planned. This review reflects only my direct experience working at the property and is shared to help couples better understand what it offers from a visual and logistical perspective.

Beautiful historic home and State Park in the Malibu area. Lots of events are hosted here, but the…read morelogistics (if you're the organizer) are incredibly challenging. There is essentially no practical parking in this area if you're looking to visit the house and the surrounding park/beaches directly. Beach parking fills up fast and is run by LA County (so your parking passes won't work), and street parking is filled by the surfers very early in the AM. Services and resources on the grounds are very limited (bathrooms, etc.), but the area is very well preserved as a historic location by the State Parks staff. May be very challenging to visit, but if you're here for an event, take a little time to explore the area.

It has a few blocks of touristy around the pier; a 2 mile long strand filled with walkers, bikers, and skaters; super clean beach; wonderful restaurants and bars; and a great public school system. Beach/strand, for sure, but don't forget that Manhattan Beach also spans wide to include Sepulveda Blvd (lots of regular shopping and restaurants, car dealerships, hotels). VB / SURFING -- Volleyball reigns here, followed by Surfing. For VB, the Manhattan Beach Open (August each year), and Surfing, while there isn't a big competition, there are places and times where it is a site to see. COMMUNITY EVENTS -- My fav is held in the summer each year, Summer Nights at Polliwog Park. A small lake, open-air concerts, picnic baskets, great weather. The Hometown Fair at Live Oak Park in downtown Manhattan Beach. The fair includes live music, plenty of food and drink, games and booths to raise funds for local causes. RESTAURANTS -- Lots of choices! My 3 favories: Fishing with Dynamite, Manhattan Beach Post, and Little Sister. Followed by Tin Roof Bistro, and Fusion Sushi. HOTELS -- There could/should be more. I've stayed at the Shade (my favorite), Belamar (boutique/nice), and Marriott (huge/typical). Also special mentioned: Beach House, Sea View, and westdrift. EMPLOYERS -- There are no major ones in the area, but the the top are (employees): Target (405), Skechers (362), Macy's (271), Fry's Electronics, Marriott (208), and the growing Manhattan Beach Studios (202).

The beach is massive... Parking can be tricky as it's mainly metered parking which is monitored everyday and usually 2 hrs. Also, parking lots throughout but I believed it's metered as well. Plenty of restaurants to choose from which always makes a good weekend outing for brunch as well as date night.

I was here in Long Beach watching the news and getting ready for school when I watched as the second plane hit the 2nd tower. That memory has been with me since. While on a weekend trip to san diego we visited the air and space museum and were surprised to see a cruiser on display that was actually at ground zero! When I got back I thought to myself "I wonder if there's other artifacts that I can see around town". A quick search showed that there were pieces of steel from the towers here. So on 9/11 of last year, we drove out here to see the memorial and have a moment of silence for the victims. The memorial is located at the bottom of the staircase in a pentagon shaped base and honors all lost in the towers, flights as well as first responders. In the center stands a steel beam that was part of WTC donated by NYC Fire and Police. It's quite surreal seeing an object from that dark day in history.
