My eldest child is an avid reader and she knows what books keep him engaged. This is a great library, the only thing that I would change is to make them open on Mondays too. Note that this library isn't part of LAPL so if you'll need to sign up for another library card here if you'd like to borrow books. One of my favorite things about this library is the monthly craft club. The two librarians who put it on are hilarious and a good time. These crafts are geared towards adults so I wouldn't bring your kids here (double check to see if they have a kids craft club at a different time). Because this library is in a well to do area, I assume they receive generous funding which in turn translates to generous crafts.

Parking is spacious but I did sadly see the charging stations that they used to have here have been permanently disconnected but the machine part is still there. Maybe some day they will bring them back as they were convenient though slow. Inside staff was very friendly and assisted me with finishing the set up for my new card. It only took 5 minutes and now I have my card! I can't wait to start using Libby. I then walked around browsing the aisles and I found a wide selection of different languages which I thought was awesome. There's also plenty of study tables and many public computers. On leaving I looked around the park. I was really pleased because the grass looks nice and green and no foxtails! I saw someone playing with their dog in the field and this made me realize this is a great place to bring my dog to do some training and it's close to me. Very happy and looking forward to my next visit

It feels like a little oasis from that. Once you're able to find parking (this branch's parking lot is practically non existent), the location is nice. It's somewhat plain inside, but that doesn't really bother me. I come to a library to look for & check out books so not having a ton of things on the walls or other decorations helps keep me focused. I've noticed this on almost all of my library stops, but I will say it again here: the staff is wonderful. The librarians were so wonderful and so helpful. I came here to get the branch stamp they have for the 100th anniversary of the LAPL and they lit up when they saw me ask for a stamp. They asked me how it was going & if I needed help getting to any other branches. Even when I'm not asking for books they still bend over backwards to help me. I absolutely love it.

Like most branches, there's a great variety, plenty of spaces to work or read, and a staff that is truly willing to help you in any way. I just don't see myself visiting this branch based of parking. It's very quiet here. And there are only about two people here, so there are plenty of open tables with nearby plugs for my computer -- must take advantage of the free wireless I'm getting with my shiny new (and free) Ventura County Library card. However, the connection is very, very slow. I took my ADHD meds and its nicely air-conditioned, so I don't mind waiting so much. Especially since the cast of characters is so interesting -- an asian woman is picking her butt as she crouches on the floor between the stacks and devours a muffler-repair book. And a pre-bipolar girl, sporting Teva sandals with white tube socks hiked nearly to her knees, is angrily coloring outside the lines and onto the table. There's also a cool (and somewhat bizarre) neon "lounge" area for kids, with plastic, neon bar chairs and beanbags -- and it kind of reminds me of the Google offices -- more geeky and "contemporary" than cool or comfortable. Also, don't come here expecting to find a recent bestseller; there are probably more self-service computers here than library books.

They took the time to talk to my kids about their adventures throughout the city and offered them a stack of coloring pages, activity sheets, and other items that my kids thought it was their birthday. You could tell every one of the employees were so happy to help in whatever way they could.
