And, that's why you can see stained glass windows and fancy chandeliers, the arches in the main hallway. Very Harry Potter-ish. Overall, it is not a very large library, but has publications, computers, printing capabilities, books, tables and sofas, and all the quite you need. (The extended new building is not attractive, but fortunately it's kind of in the back. ) So the physical aspects of it is great. But so are the employees there, and the services the library provides; today in particular, I so appreciated the interlibrary loan service. I got my book all the way from Elgin, Illinois. I can easily get holds from the library by making requests online and picking them up from this branch. There is a used bookstore inside the library as well which has a great selection of good quality books! There's always something new to find each week! There is parking out front, a parking lot next to the entrance, and a parking lot on the backside that lets you enter through the second story. Also, they offer great programs if you keep your eyes peeled! I also appreciate that this is an easy place to drop off voting ballots out front.

The library has a fantastic inventory and a great kid area that offers resources for them from books to crafts. My son love playing with some of the toys there and then sitting on the cushions listening to a book. It was a nice peaceful break to the business of the day. The building is just inviting and full of bright natural light. Perfect for working or reading. But even with all the windows, it isn't hot inside which is great given that this branch is located in an area of the city that can get quite hot, especially during the summer (when we were visiting). So come, cool down while enjoying a book. Staff is friendly and helpful. They took the time to chat with our kids about our adventure to visit all the LAPL locations. They asked them about what branches they've enjoyed and where we were headed to next. They were just a joy to interact with. We really enjoyed our trip to this branch. Trails for all abilities, variety of trail surfaces and conditions and length and elevation. Bite off the proper amount for your skill level and if you try to chew too much, just flip it and return to your comfort zone. Trails and fire roads are all well maintained, used, loved, and appreciated. The value for the free it cost is immeasurable.

I came in to get a library card and the process was very quick! I also browsed their sections and the library has materials and dvds in several different languages. There were also English conversation courses/groups that meet up. What a great place for the community to gather! So many resources available!

Everyone was so nice and worked extra hard to keep the line moving. I really appreciate they had all hands on deck. Talked to one guy who said he doesn't usually work inside the library but they brought him in. Even the security guard was helpful in keeping things moving.

Tucked away in a plaza in San Fernando among some local eateries it was a short walk from parking. Parking is challenging just keep that in mind. Not many ADA parking spots either. The library is much bigger than it appears from outside. There is so much to see. I liked the decor and how it is very reminiscent of the San Fernando region. The wrought iron chandeliers were a dramatic centerpiece in this library. As I was standing in line I was impressed on the amount of Manga available as well as preloaded Kindles that library members can check out. Lots of tables and seating. Cute carpeted sitting areas for younger readers. Very nice staff who did their best they could during this event. If you didn't get a HK card in 9/28/26 they will have more next month.

I told the staff at the front counter. I went back to my computer and decided to check the bathroom an hour later. still poo on the floor. I didn't go back to that location for a while. 2nd time there I went to use the restroom upstairs thinking it was probably less used. the restroom was blocked off for "cleaning" so I waited. After the cleaning lady was finished and unblocked the door, she put her cleaning supplies in the custodial closet and went into the restroom to find POO all over the toilet seat. I'm not sure what she was doing in there but if I was cleaning a restroom you would not find $#!+ on the toilet.

When I came in to collect my location stamp, the librarian was so nice. When she found out I wasn't aware that we could get a set of blank cards to carry around with us, she rushed over to grab me not one, but 2 envelopes full of them insisting I take one for me & one for my coworker who is also collecting the stamps. She was just so excited and happy to see someone come in to explore the branch she worked at. I really appreciated that. The library itself is decent. It's not the nicest in the system, but it's also by far not the worst. It's a great option for the people of this neighborhood for sure.
