This review is just for their in person kids' program. The library hosted a balloon twisting workshop and it was so fun for my kids! It was both challenging (even for me!) and rewarding and they got to bring their creations home. I loved that I could do an in person activity with my kids when a lot of other libraries only have online programs right now. Registration often fills up quickly for these kind of events so check out the library calendar and sign up ahead of time!

First time coming here today with my 2 year old toddler. We had a great time! This library was bigger than I thought it'd be. I like that there is ample free parking. The fire station is right next door to the library so that was a treat for my fire truck loving toddler. This library has an awesome kid/toddler/baby section! There were sliding toys on the wall and also an art cart which my toddler loved to play with. The art cart contained a bunch of arts and craft supplies such as markets, crayons, glue, tape, paper, etc. The staff here was super helpful and friendly as well. I mentioned that my son loves books about trains and one of the staffers brought me 4 books about trains. She also reminded me about the summer reading program for kids and when I mentioned that I did have my son signed up, she gave him a free book and an animal balloon. We loved our time here and will definitely be back.

Available hotspot for rent with highspeed network. Small library but had a decent book selection. Friendly staff. (:

You really do feel the opulence as you drive through the mirador entrance up this long driveway to get to the library. Free parking but it does get packed since many people also park here to access the hiking trails next to the library. This is a beautiful library and many people do come here to study as I noticed most tables were filled. However, there is a loud buzzing sound from the lights but I guess it becomes background white noise if you are used to it. Portraits of Mr. and Mrs. Brand, their family and how the library was are on the library walls so you can learn more about how it all started. The art gallery this time around has an exhibit from Thinkspace, featuring artwork of over 70 artists, on now until March 29, 2025. I really enjoyed the art pieces and took photos of the ones that really impressed me. The grounds features Brand Park, the Japanese tea house (closes early like 3pm), Doctor's House, which is a historical house, and a couple of hiking trails. Overall, a cool place to check out and just 15 minutes away north from downtown Glendale if you need to grab a bite to eat.

As a mom of a toddler that gets pretty desperate to tire her child out, I appreciate this library…read moreso much. It's walkable for us (less than 5 min) and we love walking into a cool, fully AC'd library. Vivian that works here is so friendly, helpful, and informative. My daughter loves the art cart, and I love it because she can color to her heart's content - and not all over my walls at home :) Also a huge plus is the sweet security guard. He always greets us with a big smile, and makes sure to open the door for us as we enter and exit the library. I understand a lot of people complain about the noise level and the size of the library itself. Fortunately for my daughter and me, this place is perfect for our needs. I personally don't think there's been any disturbances noise-wise because honestly my daughter is the only one I've really heard making those noises... whoooops!!!! She loves to explore the books, furniture, crayons, and toys. And I love that she gets to exert some energy before dinner time. I am so grateful to have this as a resource at our disposal.

We came for a creative stop motion animation Lego event and there was a big turnout. Luckily we got there on time and snagged seats. People had to be turned away due to the limited space and supplies. Tiniest outdoor parking lot behind the library. Don't even bother finding parking there...just park on the street!
