You really do feel the opulence as you drive through the mirador entrance up this long driveway to get to the library. Free parking but it does get packed since many people also park here to access the hiking trails next to the library. This is a beautiful library and many people do come here to study as I noticed most tables were filled. However, there is a loud buzzing sound from the lights but I guess it becomes background white noise if you are used to it. Portraits of Mr. and Mrs. Brand, their family and how the library was are on the library walls so you can learn more about how it all started. The art gallery this time around has an exhibit from Thinkspace, featuring artwork of over 70 artists, on now until March 29, 2025. I really enjoyed the art pieces and took photos of the ones that really impressed me. The grounds features Brand Park, the Japanese tea house (closes early like 3pm), Doctor's House, which is a historical house, and a couple of hiking trails. Overall, a cool place to check out and just 15 minutes away north from downtown Glendale if you need to grab a bite to eat.

They have been closed since Thanksgiving day and won't be open until Monday. Thanks to the good people at GCL for updating the hours here on Yelp! I can easily get holds from the library by making requests online and picking them up from this branch. There is a used bookstore inside the library as well which has a great selection of good quality books! There's always something new to find each week! There is parking out front, a parking lot next to the entrance, and a parking lot on the backside that lets you enter through the second story. Also, they offer great programs if you keep your eyes peeled! I also appreciate that this is an easy place to drop off voting ballots out front.

They helped get some of our students library cards. Great library for baby/toddler programs like story time. Most programs are geared towards that crowd not much for youth or teens it's seemed. Still very happy with their nicely decorated library and their support of all communities as they had placed immigration legal rights cards at their front desk.

It's walkable for us (less than 5 min) and we love walking into a cool, fully AC'd library. Vivian that works here is so friendly, helpful, and informative. My daughter loves the art cart, and I love it because she can color to her heart's content - and not all over my walls at home :) Also a huge plus is the sweet security guard. He always greets us with a big smile, and makes sure to open the door for us as we enter and exit the library. I understand a lot of people complain about the noise level and the size of the library itself. Fortunately for my daughter and me, this place is perfect for our needs. I personally don't think there's been any disturbances noise-wise because honestly my daughter is the only one I've really heard making those noises... whoooops!!!! She loves to explore the books, furniture, crayons, and toys. And I love that she gets to exert some energy before dinner time. I am so grateful to have this as a resource at our disposal.

I am overjoyed that my books will now be in a place where others might get use from them for their various school and professional projects. I was so pleased today with the reaction I received I would be happy to donate the remainder of the research library to the Buena Vista branch in the future. I did ask for help to bring in the books to the library as I had just had a TIA stroke a few weeks back, Molly stepped up with a smile and a large book cart to help me:) I take comfort in knowing my beloved books will be looked after and be enjoyed by others at this local Burbank branch. And, that's why you can see stained glass windows and fancy chandeliers, the arches in the main hallway. Very Harry Potter-ish. Overall, it is not a very large library, but has publications, computers, printing capabilities, books, tables and sofas, and all the quite you need. (The extended new building is not attractive, but fortunately it's kind of in the back. ) So the physical aspects of it is great. But so are the employees there, and the services the library provides; today in particular, I so appreciated the interlibrary loan service. I got my book all the way from Elgin, Illinois.
