Please review your medication before leaving the pharmacy , this pharmacy made a huge mistake by giving me the wrong medication (I was prescribed Ibuprofen and was given Ambien) . I've been going here for a long time since I moved into this neighborhood but now I have to find another pharmacy cause I no longer have the trust I had. This pharmacy is terrible. They do not let you know what's going on. The customer service is terrible. You call them and they don't know what medication's they have for you. They will tell you they are going to deliver and you won't hear from them again until you call again which can be another day. They were supposed to put medications in blister packs and never do. I had never used a smaller, non-chain pharmacy and was blown away by Malcolm Pharmacy's attention & action when my doctor's office sent instructions off to wrong locations. During CoVid when all doctors are working remotely and your doctor's office has you on hold for 40min waiting to speak to anyone. After 5 days of my Dr's office continuing to make errors and cross wires, it only took Malcolm Pharmacy 1 day to fix it - which meant Malcolm Pharmacy had to make those calls and wait. And, they didn't even know me yet - I was a new client. I received call backs from the Pharmacy daily and I was impressed at how they asked questions to make sure my meds did not interact negatively. I have used Malcolm Pharmacy as long as I have lived in Harlem. A knowledgeable and caring pharmacist is so important to healthcare and David is one of the best I have met. He and his staff go above and beyond assisting with prescriptions, working with medication cost/options and are so knowledgeable regarding any questions I might have about medications etc Simply...Malcolm Pharmacy is the best!! I was so tired of CVS, Duane Reade and the like. being told I had to wait 45-90 minutes for a RX to be filled. Being unable to call and speak to someone without waiting on hold, talking to the same pharmacist for the 10th, 20th or 30th time and them not remembering who I was. Then I switched to Malcolm. David and the staff, remembered be after 1 visit. Know my medications, rarely if ever do I have to wait more than 3-5 minutes for them to fill my RX. David made sure to let me know or would have someone call me to let me know my refills were ready to be picked up. There's a reason Mom and Pop business' are loved, because they care and take the time to get to know the community they serve. read more

One of the best local pharmacies in the Harlem area. I had moved to the Manhattan area from another state and after struggling with so many issues of transferring medications and finding a pharmacy that could accommodate my requests for particular medications and accepting my insurance, Malcolm pharmacy staff made it very easy for me. David, the pharmacy manager at Malcolm Pharmacy made sure that all my medications are transferred and those that required special attention (controlled medications) were requested directly from my doctors and new prescriptions were sent in electronically to Malcolm Pharmacy. Within a few days, I have received a phone call from David, telling me that all my prescriptions were ready with all the specific requests that I have made to him with regards to manufacturers and color or shape of the pills that work for me. I can't thank enough David for his dedication and ability to satisfy his patients. I have been a costumer at Malcolm Pharmacy since January of 2018 and the consistency in reminding me to pick up my medications on time, the quick counseling points before every new medication and the smile that greets me every time I enter the door, are all good reasons for me to appreciative Malcolm Pharmacy and it's staff. ive been a cvs customer a long time, but finally realized that all of their mistakes...hour waiting lines, rude behavior, mixing up my prescriptions, and even if you call ahead to make sure the correct medications were ready, and in a bag for pick up, truly almost every time when picking up, there would be items not ordered and other prescriptions not in the bag or ready as they assured they would be on my pre pickup call....anyway... i wanted more friendly more efficient service, and this is precisely what i found at harlems malcolm pharmacy. the head pharmacist, david, really seems to care about his customers health, and our experience while in his store. he makes sure his workers are also kind and efficient. if you need something they dont stock, he will get it for you. the perfect definition of a family business...but that they arent family, lol. they remember their customers names and health concerns..they have taught me a little about my medications as well. an al around perfect experience...such a pleasure after abusive cvs.. read more
