The restaurant is, as the name suggests, in a small cottage that has quite recently been extended to cater for the demand for a good curry house in the area. There must be no more than 15 tables in the entire place, which makes it nice and cosy - which I like. I have been here countless times, and each time I cannot fault the service. The waiters are friendly, and the same guys have worked there for years, so if you're local and go there frequently they remember your name - which is always nice. The food is authentic Indian food, with a varied choice of curries on the menu. One of their starters - Prawn on Puree - is my favourite and I often order this as larger portion for my main meal, which they are always more than happy to do for me. The prices are very reasonable here, and if you like them on Facebook they'll often post print-off vouchers on their page for customer discounts and freebies. They also run deals on certain nights, where you can get 3 courses and a beer for £15. Last week when I visited, the service was abnormally slow.. And something I haven't experienced before. Granted it was a busy Friday night but maybe they were a waiter down or something. The service is usually faultless - this must have been an off night but I wouldn't like to mark them down for it. I'll continue to go here, either with family or with friends - and if you're in the area it's definitely the best place for Indian food for a good few miles.

Each dish was hot and portions were adequate to fill the average person. Alcohol was a bit pricy for the location but is expected. The reason it is not 5 stars was because the waiter or waiters in this case came three times in consecutive occasions to ask if we are ready to order. Whether that is because they have declined it quality or whether its the increased quality available just a hop skip and jump away in either Manchester or Naga at Abbey Village, I'm not sure - but I bet it's the latter.
