I have been a customer at this restaurant for a long
time. The previous owner was a gentleman called Badral. He ran the place second
to none and built the reputation of the restaurant. Until late, we have been
treated fine by these present owners; however, I have noticed a drop in meat
quality, and content quality in the food. My Lamb was cut very small and was gristly.
To be fair, the flavours are still nice very nice, but then that's what you get
used too. Service here nowadays, severely lets this place down. We used to get pampered
and I used to get a handshake at least from Khan one of the owners. All that
changed for some reason. He took offence over my Partner asking for a mango,
when we were leaving the restaurant one evening. He kicked off about it and it
was very embarrassing for me and the nice young lad who serves behind the bar
also looked stunned. It's only 40p extra, if that. he would also places a drink
under our noses without asking us first if we wanted one, and then would add it
to the bill. We used to get the odd complimentary drink, such as a half beer
for me and a small glass of red wine for the missus. This never happens now
since the Mango incident. There is no welcome, and no handshake on arrival, or
leaving. The final straw for me was this weekend when the nice young man behind
the Bar said he would get the drink for us, as did happen on odd occasions
before. Khan the Manager stopped him,
showed him our bill thus far, and told the lad to add the cost to our bill. Thereafter,
there was no eye contact or friendliness from the owner. Just curt thanks on,
paying the final bill, with no goodbye or see you again. I spend on average
between £25/week and £33/week just on takeaways. I also attend the restaurant
to eat in with my partner and also friends. I have also organised a group
booking there of 13 people. I was due to organise another meal for the same
group. It shall not take place here. Needless to say, he will lose hundreds of
pounds over the year/s. Be warned, the hostility
is NOT genuine. It's all about squeezing
your hard earned money from your wallet. My friend also witnessed the same
thing the previous weekend when he came with us for another takeaway. They only
seem interested if you order drink after drink, with an underlying expectation.
The restaurant is also very scruffy inside. The decor is falling off the
ceiling. I doubt it's very healthy in that regard. I won't be going back there.
I haven't been treated so badly for a long long time if ever at any restaurant.
