I placed order number 50660 several months ago for Icy Champagne Beige which was to be available by December 2, 2024. To date I have not received the order and have been unable to reach Makeup Mania by phone - message is always mailbox is full!! I have emailed several times with no response. I have attempted live chat and that didn't work. I need to speak with someone and no one responds. I am very disappointed in the company's customer service which essentially is non-existent. I have been shopping at makeup mania for years in store and ordering on line. 2 months ago I placed an order that said 7-10 days I would receive my order. Here I am 2 months later no order, numerous emails that have never been answered, phone calls that no one ever answers. Don't even think about leaving a message voicemail is always full. Its claimed they get so many spamy calls Voicemail fills up Quickly. it tells you to email them and they will get back to you. Well that's not what I've experienced There is simply no way to get ahold of this company. The 800 number no longer is in order. Would love to know where my order is !!! What Happend to this company. Also I tried to order more of the product and it would only allow me to order one. My order number is 49684 in case someone from the company reads this !! read more

Eva is a great makeup artist. She goes over the top to get you what you need. She will teach you how to get your desired look.

I'm a body & face painter. I love going to this location. I've been to a few other places around town but they have limited product line and they don't seem to have the real-world knowledge I get from Eva at MakeUpMania. Here they have what I'm looking for: glitters, UV body paints, glamour makeup, etc. All the name brands. And Eva is great with offering suggestions about everything, from type of brushes to use to powders & removers; even application techniques. My clients, who are used to being body painted, prefer working with me because I have the right brushes that feel good on them and the removers that help them clean up so easily. I tell them they can thank Eva and MakeUpMania. read more

Thank you Eva for the shipment. I wanted to update my last review on 6/27/2024 and note this time I received my order two days later on 6/29/2024. Although I was unavailable to speak with them, Makeup Mania also called me on 6/27/2024. In her Yelp response, Eva promised she would personally ensure the products were shipped. She followed through with an apology note in the package. Thank you Eva for resolving the issue. read more

Holy makeup, Batman... this place is legit. So I really needed this one particular palatte for a costume I'm doing for Halloween, and I'm partial to Mehron's product line when I beat my face. Amazon couldn't come through for me this time, and I emailed a few places around town to ask if they had it in stock and could hold one aside for me. MakeUpMania was the only one to respond, and they said they had it and were holding one aside. After work, I headed over. I also needed some other miscellaneous things for myself and for my husband and my roommate, so I loaded up. Eva is a total delight! What a sweetheart. They have a points system, which is cool. Thanks for staying open during the snow storm before Halloween, Eva... you da bomb. I'll come back. read more

It took a really long time for my order to be received. If the items I ordered were on backorder, I should have been notified.

Nope. Took forever. One product was not included Waited. Emailed. Emailed again. Not a fan. I'd rather shop at cvs. At least I know they will answer a question and take the $$$ I give serious read more

driving past this place every day and being a makeup junkee I was really excited to go in for the first time, my boyfriend and I went in and there was a lady working and a gentleman working on the floor. I explained that this was our first time in and the lady working followed us around and told us about something's including how professional the makeup was as well as how good the owner was, as we looked around. The makeup is really nice and for a reasonable price...... But then the lady helping us got a phone call... And I quote, said to the other gentleman "please watch them while I take this call". I had no clue we were being watched, as if we were going to steal, I understand we're young and the makeup is of good quality but she could have worded that so much better. Unfortunately I won't ever be returning ): 2 stars though because they do have good stuff read more

Makeup Mania is a great shop for fantastic quality makeup at good prices. It's cute, fun, and the service is always great. They also do a great job with mailorders, They have done amazing costume makeup for a friend (Frankenstein!) and also did wedding makeup at the shop for a friend and her sisters, who were really happy with everything. Highly recommended! read more

My daughter decided to be bloody and such this Halloween so I'm new to this. She watched some youtube, made a list of what she needed, and guess what. This stuff is expensive and somewhat hard to find. Searched online and found MakeupMania. Great prices so I placed my order online, then read some Yelp reviews and mildly panicked. However, four days later, it's in my mailbox. Everything just as I ordered - and I'm in Florida! read more

This is such a cute little makeup shop! I popped in there when I was early to meet some friends for happy hour at Billy's and I'm really glad I did. Got some Ben Nye makeup on sale for half off! Also got girlactic glitter makeup which was super cute. One of the only non-costume shops that sells Ben Nye stage makeup which is good to know. They also sold wigs and some skincare products. The owner Eva happened to be there when I was and she was really friendly and helpful. What's not to like about a place dedicated to makeup and girly stuff? read more

Don't go to Ulta. Go to Makeup Mania! This is THE place to finally find your HG foundation that matches your skintone perfectly. It's where you can grab 10 La Femme blush pans for $3 each, and complete your blush wardrobe. Be sure to pick up some of the world's best eyeshadow primer, and your new blush wardrobe can also supplement your eyeshadow wardrobe. Yes, you can stop looking for that one burgundy eyeshadow you saw on a model, because it's really a blush. And your perfect eyebrow color may be a taupey-brown eyeshadow. It's all about having fun with makeup, and having professional-grade products. Remember how Ulta used to be fun, before they went all snooty and corporate? Makeup Mania has mirrors, tissues, disposable applicators, and makeup remover set out for your convenience - this is important when you are doing serious makeup shopping, and comparing many similar colors. My advice: If you're 30+, avoid the young girl wearing gold glitter eyeshadow who offers to show you "what's trending". The 30+ lady is way more helpful! (Her name started with a "B", I think). She steered me towards my new HG lip pencil! Ahhh, it's MLBB for day or evening, it stays on all day & sharpens perfectly. It cost less than half of what my former HG lip pencil by Urban Decay cost, and it lasts forever instead of getting quickly devoured by the sharpener. If you're a makeup maniac, an aspiring maniac, or anything beyond a makeup "Meh" you need to come here in person, it will change your life. P.S. My HG foundation is Mehron OS6 (medium olive) which is counterintuitive because I always thought I was a NC20. read more

This review is for an online order : Last Thursday, I placed an order for Ben Nye Banana powder from their website. I almost immediately regretted it. Looking up reviews, I'd read stories of people who never received their orders. I constantly checked my email for a shipping notification. 2 days later, I got it. This Monday, 4 days after placing my order, it came in the mail. I was pleasantly surprised. The powder works like a charm, it was A LOT less than other places, & the shipping was crazy fast. I'm still a little scared to place a big order, given other reviews they have received. However, from my experience, things couldn't have gone better. read more

I'm an online shopper and have been for years. They carry products that industry makeup artists use..such as Ben Nye. Their customer service is terrific and their shipping is fast. read more

They have a good selection, and everyone is very nice. HOWEVER, if you ever need anything from them that they do not carry in stock then it will take weeks for them to get it in, they will offer to pay for shipping but will NOT do so, and won't let you know when it arrives. They are also extremely difficult to get ahold of. We called and left 5-6 messages over the course of 3 days and never received a call back. I'm all for local business support, but we'll be ordering straight from the manufacturer from now on. read more

I ordered my Halloween make up from them. On top of having very fair prices they shipped very fast. There was a mixup with my address (error on my part), I called in and spoke with Shelly. She was so nice and eager to help. I def recommend going thru this company read more

Whether you're a Makeup Artist, Special Effects Artist, or just a makeup enthusiast you'll love getting to know lines like La Femme ($3 a shadow), The Balm (not found otherwise in CO), and LipTini (beautiful stains and glosses). Super cute make-up spot located right in Denver. They not only carry, hard to find cosmetic lines like, Kryolan, but also special effects products as well. The quirky and fun exterior is picture worthy and Eva (who I believe manages the shop) is very sweet and helpful. Definitely worth checking out! read more

I've been to MakeupMania several times and always left happy. They have great quality professional brands that out perform anything from Sephora or the dept store counters. But their staff sets them apart - they really know their stuff and are extremely helpful. read more

I ordered from Makeup Mania online a couple of weeks ago and used the PayPal payment option. I never got an email saying the item shipped so I emailed them, called them, etc. and still haven't been in contact successfully with anyone there! They are completely non-responsive! I have filed a PayPal dispute and they have yet to respond to that either. My purchase wasn't for a large amount, but I'm very frustrated, to say the least. I will never order from them again, that is for sure!!! read more

I have been buying make up here for a few years. The staff is awesome, but what I love is the quality of make up. Also~ the best cleanser I have ever used come from here. The pallets of eye shadows and blushes is better than I could ever get anywhere else, even MAC. The BALM is my make up of choice and it makes me look like a runway model every day in Denver. I don't know anywhere else I can by Tu'el oil cleanser but if I didn't have it I might actually die. LOVE this PLACE! read more

Had such a wonderful experience with meg! She was so helpful and I will definitely shop here again!

ONLINE ORDER: Never received product after 3 weeks. Talked to someone, and they said they would resend. 2 weeks later, I called again. A new person told me the original package never got sent by accident but wasn't sure where second package was. I still haven't received! read more

HORRIBLE. I ordered online from them... spent 110$. My package was stolen and I talked to a girl named Heather that worked there.. she told me to contact the post office which I did immediately. She also told me I had insurance on my package and would be covered up to a certain amount for a refund. When I called her back prior to talking to the post office she said she would speak with the owner and let me know if they would send a new package or get me a refund. NEVER CALLED BACK. I contacted them a few days later again.. another girl told me the same thing. I proceeded to tell her I was told I would get a response back from you after the owner was spoke to the last time I called and of course I HAVE YET TO HEAR A RESPONSE. Thank you for wasting my 110$ and giving me the worst customer service I have ever received in my life. I am a young college student, money doesn't grow on trees, and I do not complain ever to stores I order from, and I still was very polite and nice on the phone when I spoke with both of these workers. Thanks for nothing. read more

This is by far the worse store I have ever did business with. My wife made an online purchase of the Ben Nye Banana powder, their web site showed a price of $13.00. She made 4 separate transactions and all 4 were charged to my card. They emailed stated that there was a glitch in there system and that there is only 1 purchase per customer. The loop whole there is per. Customer not house hold. There fore she was a customer 4 different times. When I called the company I spoke with the owner Eva, and she said it is on her web site 1 and only 1. When I asked for documents supporting her website I.e. A legal document which a website is not she refused to and stated that all she has is her webpage. She refuses to honor the purchase even though the flaw happen on her end and it was only caught after they charged me. Bad business and horrible customer support. If I owned a company and my system had a glitch and a customer managed to purchase items that were against my policy I would honor the sale and fix the problem. Not at all what they did not honor it not was Eva respectful as an owner should be. I will never shop here again and between my wife and I will get the word out that this place is not a place to spend your hard earned money. I would not lose any sleep if they went under. read more

So I think the day after I wrote this review I called again and thought I would try my luck once more before I called my credit card. I ended up speaking with Eva who knew who I was right away because she said she was just about to call me. She was very pleasant and explained that they were swamped on BF and that they didn't expect runs on certain items. So while I understand and I even speculated that this was the case before, I still think that customers waiting for items should be notified as to what the current situation is. It's just a courtesy to answer emails and keep your valued customers informed. So that is why only 3 stars because I feel it is so important. But if the three weeks of radio slience had not occured then I would have given 5 stars. I did ask for a shiping upgrade because they were xmas gifts and she obliged and once it was shipped it came very fast- to Canada. Also everything was very well packaged so that it came in perfect condition. Lastly what drew me to the site was their fantastic selection and fair pricing. I will shop here again without hesitation but I not for anyhting that I need on a deadline. read more

Walked in and the two women working greeted me with a smile. I'm not one who is skilled with make up, and there was no better place to go if you are like me and don't really wear a lot on a daily basis. From there, they tried several different colors of foundation until they found the one that fit me. Very friendly girls working, they didn't try to up sell me anything, and we're very knowledgeable in answering all of my questions. Very cute little place, and the location is great! read more

Holy fast shipping!! Ordered on Saturday, delivered on Tuesday. Product is as described. I like that you're able to pay via PayPal instead of having to enter all your information into yet another website. Will do business with this company again. read more

The super-friendly, well-informed and very helpful employee, Colleen, assisted me recently to find the perfect foundation (Ben Nye), a phenomenal blush (La Femme) and a fantastic make-up setting spray (Graftobian). Loved working with her and seeing the huge range of options and brands they carry. It was great to acquire so much information as well as have access to the great variety of products they offer. Wonderful shop, wonderful staff, wonderful products, wonderful experience!!!! I'll be returning regularly when I'm in town, and will definitely be ordering make-up from them online when I'm home on the east coast. I love MakeUp Mania! read more

Great place small but packed with quality products well informed staff work with you to get everything just right. Always stop by in Denver.

Such nice and helpful sales people! I went in to take a look at the Z-palettes that I was pretty sure were slightly cheaper on Amazon and easier to return for me but the employees were super understanding and helpful! They were SO nice and the place, being small and at first seemed like a costume speciality shop, still has some things that are of interest to me that I could try out. At first I wasn't going to return simply because of how far away it is from where I live and how long and tedious the trip was, but now I might come back and sample a few things and get get a couple of products... but I promised myself I would fiest finish up some products in my collection... that's the rule right? read more
