We set up a trial session, My make up looked fabulous. But for the actual wedding Michelle stepped it up a notch. My makeup looked even more fabulous, per my request I wanted to my eyes to be bold and she defenitely accomplished that! I'm actually slightly surprised that the ratings are so high here, maybe we caught her on a bad week. One of my closest friends hired Michelle for her wedding makeup and also had her arrange her hair. It seemed very affordable to all of us bridesmaids and so we all decided to go with her for makeup as well. There were 8 women for her to do: The Bride, 6 bridesmaids, and the brides mother. Michelle was supposed to arrive at the hotel at 9:00am to begin with the brides mother. By 9:05am, when she had not arrived, the bride called her and asked if she was on her way. To our surprise SHE WAS NOT, she continued to tell the Bride that she had her down for the following day which was stated on the contract. The bride had a copy of the contract with her, it clearly DID NOT state the following day. Now being in a profession that deals with the Biggest day in a person's life, I would think that the single detail of DATE would be the most important. My friend had to now figure out what she was going to do about her HAIR & MAKEUP. ---- Michelle ended up making it to our hotel suite 1 and a half hours late and after sending a text that stated "Glad I just finished my last client, LOL." WHO THE HECK IS LAUGHING?? It's not a laughing moment, the bride was in tears just FYI. Now for my direct makeup experience with her: I told her distinctly right before my makeup was to be done that I did not wear foundation, but instead liked a looser mineral powder because I did not like heavy makeup. She agreed that we would not do heavy makeup at all. She began my makeup and soon started my eyebrows. After seeing the eyebrows when she was mostly done, I let her know that I didn't like them too rounded, but rather more arched. Her response was "Oh, I should have asked you guys the shape you liked, the girl before you liked them more rounded." Well yes, I am not going to like my make up exactly the same as the girl before me. She tried to fix them, but in the end I ended up taking the whole thing off and redoing it myself. After seeing the finished product I was appalled, I was wearing soooooooo much makeup. A lot of foundation that looked cakey, overdrawn lips (actually could see the line extend about my lip line), and eyeshadow that was not blended at all. After seeing pics from the wedding, you could see how distinctly white my face was as compared to my body. (My boyfriend actually commented asking why I was wearing soooo much makeup). Now I know wedding makeup is supposed to last long, but it's supposed to look flawless, not cakey. (I'm even willing to post pics to show what I'm talking about). FINAL BADS on top of the already horrible experience we had: 1.) When one of the bridesmaid wanted her eyebrows reshaped, she commented "Oh, do you have a scar on your eyebrow or something?" Don't make the client feel bad because you're not giving her the look that she prefers. 2.) Michelle ended up not being able to do the make up of the brides mother and 2 bridesmaids. 3.) Even though she told the bride she obviously would not have to pay her in full, she then text post wedding that if she wanted to, she could still pay her. This is a long Yelp for obvious reasons, I'm sorry Michelle but our experience with you was bordered being horrendous. No one wants to start their wedding day in tears, it's worst thing that can possibly happen to a bride. The only good thing that came out of it was that the Bride's makeup was actually good, which is deserving of the one star that I had to give you. read more

She was busy but opted to do it anyway (hearts). Anyway, she came over and did a trial run. I was invited to be in a wedding entourage last month and I wanted a little professional assistance with my appearance. Maybe I am becoming conscious about aging or seeing people I haven't seen in a while, as I typically wear the most minimal makeup on a daily basis.
