Navpreet was supposed to do my wedding hair and makeup in April 2020. I paid the deposit in January 2020. When the pandemic hit and I had to reschedule my wedding, Navpreet had unrealistic demands for the wedding. She wanted me and her to be the only people in the room, which is virtually impossible for a wedding. Her restrictions were beyond what true Covid regulations actually are for weddings. I reached out to Navpreet to cancel the hair/makeup services, and she refused to return my deposit. Navpreet claimed she had a refund policy on her website (she didn't) and added it to her website right after our exchange. Navpreet claimed she had to pay her assistant part of the deposit and couldn't get it back -- but she also told me one of her assistants was her daughter so I truly don't understand why the deposit was unrecoverable. It's unfortunate that Navpreet kept my deposit although services were not rendered and I gave her months of advance notice, she could have easily booked another event. She was also extremely rude to my wedding planner when my planner tried to reach out. Save your money. There are plenty of kind and friendly stylists out there who would do a great job and not cause you hassle on your wedding day. read more

Navpreet is able to transform the client's appearance and make her look like a amazing goddess or beautiful queen. She is very experienced with Indian bridal hair and makeup in particular, including dressing, jewelry, and dupatta setting, which is all included in her fee. Navpreet also has assistants / team, so I recommend her for both bride and bridal party (mother, sisters, maid of honor, bridesmaids, etc), so that the other women can also get amazing hair and makeup. Navpreet is very skilled at hair and makeup, and she is professional and always reliable --- she came to my house at 4:30 AM in the morning in order to have me ready for the morning Anand Karaj ceremony at the Sikh Gurdwara and be on-time --- so I recommend her for all wedding events for bridal hair and makeup, and the client will have one less thing to worry about! In my particular experience, Navpreet and her assistant did the hair and makeup for my sister and niece, and makeup only for my other sister and mother; everyone looked so beautiful and transformed, and this was only more clearly seen in the photographs that we viewed later, after the wedding events. My hair, makeup, dress and dupatta were all perfectly executed for the ceremony at the Sikh Gurdwara, and nothing budged or moved out of place, the makeup lasted all day perfectly, the only thing I had to do was re-apply lip color after eating lunch and dinner. I requested matte makeup (as personally, I always prefer classic makeup looks, not the trendy shiny highlighter look) with a hairstyle specifically I designed and wanted with my matha patti head piece, which I had to convince her to do, but was worth it, and looked amazing! The makeup is unquestionably of the highest quality and skill. When I had my full bridal makeup trial, we finished in the morning, and my makeup lasted into the evening when I attended a holiday party, so I can really attest to the quality and durability of Navpreet's makeup, it's excellent! Again, Navpreet is professional and always reliable --- she came to my house at 4:30 AM in the morning so that I would be ready be on-schedule. The reason that I am giving Navpreet only 4 stars is because, for all her professional skill, she has an overall antagonistic "cannot do" attitude and frequently negative interpersonal communications; she is dismissive of ideas as a default although she can be gradually convinced with enough reasonable effort from the client; and Navpreet shows almost zero enthusiasm for bridal hair and makeup, which puts her in stark contrast to all my other wedding vendors for henna, nail art, decor, flowers, dress design, tailoring, and invitation design, as those vendors at least were happy to do the work (or feigned happiness for the sake of the bride and groom, which is fine as well), and interested in the client's ideas even if those ideas were not entirely feasible, and generally, those vendors showed enthusiasm for supporting the bride and groom, and making the wedding a success. Navpreet appeared to show no enthusiasm or enjoyment in the work, she was often annoyed when I asked if we could make certain small reasonable modifications, and she just was often unwilling to meet halfway in many minor situations, which were ultimately resolved no harm no foul, but this continued until the wedding reception day, when Navpreet was very reluctant to help with my 73-year-old mom who needed a little volume in her very short gray hair, Navpreet said she could not help, she did not have a round brush needed, then I offered to send someone to buy the brush, and Navpreet still defaulted to no, I finally said "I'll buy the brush and pay you extra money, please work with me!". My tolerance for negative people is generally high in public spheres, social settings, and even when in a salon for hair cut, facial or waxing, even then, I can tolerate negative persons; but for my own wedding which is a special time for a bride, I think it is reasonable to want to be around someone who is excited and supportive about the experience. Understandably, it is not part of Navpreet's contractual agreement to be positive and enthusiastic, and all of her responsibilities as bridal hair and makeup artist were completely fulfilled, and I paid for all the services and I tipped several hundred in gratuity because I respect Navpreet for all the skill, hard work, and professionalism she brings. I just wish that I had known ahead of time (before hiring and paying deposits), and I would just advise future clients to be aware of this, especially brides, and consider how or if it might affect the morale while getting ready in the morning for the wedding event(s). read more

If you want to be 2 HOURS LATE to your wedding reception this is the service you should use. My wife used her for our wedding and reception and did the trial prior to the events. She paid $75 for trial and settled on two different looks. Navpreet was 30 minutes late on the wedding day and took a lot longer that she should have. overall make up and hair was ok. Next day, Navpreet showed up ONE HOUR late on our reception day. Then she decided to experiment with a new look ??? What is the point of paying for trial if she is not going to do what was discussed during trial. Makeup looked horrible as if she was going for DRAG QUEEN look. Needless to say she had to start all over. This time she decided to add blue shade to the smokey look which was not part of the original discussion. But we were way too late to change it again. She made us 2 Hours late to the reception and we had to miss family portraits, rush the champaign toast and miss several important moments that we will never be able to enjoy.
