First and LAST experience with this store! Went in to ask if they had any extra packing materials…read morethat they were getting rid of (2 plastic bags) that I may take and was treated through being ignored for 10 minutes rather than employee transferring into to another as she was busy, followed by another employee doing the figure 8 retail walk to monitor me while looking into my eyes briefly, followed by another giving me odd looks. The original lady finally told the guy of the same ethnicity as I was (assuming I'm an immigrant) and he promptly spoke in that language. He then asked the odd looks lady and she was scowling and annoyed at me as I explained now for the 3rd time. I did the same thing at WF, HD, and SC (Stores) and none of them behaved that way. All took a normal request and behaved normally as I did. I am not a thief, crazy or requesting something that does not exist. I even found a sample - they could not be BOTHERED to check like Sport Chek and others kindly did for and gave :) Furnishing stores have insane behaviours - they treat customers and employees like thieves or just plain oddly. At least this place and one I worked at Pier 1 do that! ugggghhhh If you are someone who needs help of any kind and a store is unwilling or treats you badly, then why be their future customer? Or, if you are not their customer, but you ask for help why should they not help or treat you right? Favoritism does no one favors.

The staff are super friendly, didn't pass a single person without a smile and warm greeting- something to be thankful for in the freezing cold weather of these days. If you do manage to temporarily get rid of the companion, shop til you drop!

I do like browsing here though I'm more interested in the home stuff more than the clothing…read more I finally bought something here and also signed up as a member. You get discount on your birthday month and special promo for members only. The service is great! Friendly staff. So I found out the website prices are different from the shop. Different sales promos too. Despite an option to pick up items from store on the website, this is not in place yet. Confirmed by the store staff. Separately the online staff replied to my query about the different prices and promos that they are separate entities and will not honor store/online prices etc. Not sure how they work but it is disappointing to know. There is also import tax when I tried the online shopping option. So shop locally here. This is the only store in greater vancouver now that the one on Granville in Vancouver has closed permanently. The staff also told me it's best to buy it if you see something you like as they carry less inventory and wider variety now. So the changeover in products is much faster. Great for those who like to see new things all the time.

I have to add a review of this store. Antho is my favorite store, and has been since I found it…read moremany years ago in Seattle. I was so happy when this store came to my area. Even though the selection is not as good as in Seattle, I have seen it improve over time. I always enjoy browsing this store, especially over the holidays. Also, I find the customer service to be quite good to excellent (let's face it, it's almost non existent in a lot of places). Love Anthro, nice home products, keep improving the selection in Canada!

The fact that I'm no Martha Stewart is no secret - I guess I was born without the home-decor gene…read more I find the whole thing - paint colours, window dressings, matching loveseats - totally mundane. And that's why I was surprised to find a quasi-furnishings store I actually liked. Granted, Provide in Crosstown carries more than just fixtures and accessories for your abode. Among the designer espresso makers are some pretty fashionable clothing items, which, for me, broke up the monotony of the selection of housewares (lamps, vases, tables, cushions, etc.). Someone must have had people like me in mind when they came up with the concept for this store. On to the fashion! I found some beautiful (although pretty high-end) tees by designer James Perse as well as some local style, like Vancouver's own Shereen De Rousseau's gorgeous cross-platform jewellery.

The general vibe of the store is very bright and open but still warm and cozy. Soft, luxe James Perse casual wear for the ladies and the gentleman inn your life will be welcome with very open arms as a gift for someone else or yourself. Unique pillows and throws will have you wrapping yourself up on the couch and hibernating next to your decadently scented boutique candle from Europe and a cup of Nespresso from that handy little machine that spits out espresso exactly how and when you want.
