She is an amazing hairstylist, hair colorist, and makeup artist specializing in haircuts, balayage, highlights, blonding, hair color, styling, and special-event hair and makeup. She's always learning new techniques and continuing her education. Highly recommend Elena in Los Altos and the Bay Area! read more

I booked Elena for my church wedding in early September and loved working with her! She was communicative, punctual, and friendly. Even though I booked without a trial, she listened closely to my vision for my hair and makeup and brought it to life beautifully. I loved how I looked, and everything held up well throughout the night! Elena also went above and beyond; she offered to style my husband's hair, help me put on my veil, and even took some family photos for us. Thank you, Elena, for helping my wedding day run more smoothly and making me feel beautiful! I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a HMUA for their next event. read more

Elena did my hair and makeup for my son's wedding, and she was an absolute delight to work with! I had never had my makeup professionally done before and was a little nervous, since I normally wear very little makeup and wanted to look like myself. Elena listened carefully and gave me the beautiful, natural look I was hoping for. She also had wonderful ideas for my hair, and both my hair and makeup were stunning and looked fantastic in the photographs. Amazingly, I was even able to sleep on my hair, and it still looked great for an event the following day! Elena is incredibly talented, warm, personable, and so much fun to spend time with. She truly made the experience special, and I couldn't recommend her more highly! read more

This review is super long overdue. I just had my 1 year anniversary and I was watching the gorgeous videos our videographer created for my husband and me on our wedding day. Bless his heart! I was reminded of how Elena transformed me through her hair and makeup artistry. The busyness of life got me and it had escaped me to write about my experience with the lovely Miss Elena. I will start out by saying that I feel wedding hair and makeup services are far different from services for a formal event. There is the pressure and burden of not only getting ready for one's wedding day, but also hosting wedding guests and ensuring everything goes without a hitch. While I met Elena first thing in the AM, already several things had not gone according to plan and the threat of rain was looming over our outdoor wedding with no real backup plan. Needless to say, I was already tremendously stressed even before I met with her. Elena has a magical calming energy. She helped me restore my inner peace as we were getting ready; this was so key in helping me to reset my day to pace myself for the rest of the day. She reminded me to let go of things I cannot control and enjoy my wedding day. I can't thank her enough for that. It was so clear she has a ton of experience. I felt like I was glowing on my wedding day because I felt confident in my hair and makeup. She took into consideration my color for my makeup and for my hair, the fact that the day would be windy and possibly rainy. My makeup and hair stayed on perfectly until the end of the evening. Honestly, barely any touch up was necessary. I would absolutely recommend Elena for makeup hair and services and if a formal event calls for it, I would reach out to Elena again for her services! Thank you Elena! read more

I've been getting my haircut by Elena for a long time, and I can honestly say she's the best hairstylist I've ever had. Every haircut is precise, stylish, and exactly what I ask for. She knows how to shape and style my hair perfectly, making sure I always leave looking sharp and well-groomed. Not only do I trust Elena with my haircuts, but my wife also goes to her for hair color, haircuts, and styling. She always raves about how amazing her hair looks after each visit. Whether you need a men's haircut, women's haircut, hair color, or a full makeover, Elena does it all! If you're searching for a top hairstylist or a great hair salon for haircuts, hair coloring, or styling, I highly recommend booking with Elena She's professional, talented, and truly knows how to bring out the best in your hair! read more

Thank you, Elena, for the amazing haircut and color! I love my new hair, and the color is just perfect. You are so talented, and I'm so happy I found you! I can't wait for my next appointment. If you're looking for a great hairstylist, I highly recommend Elena! She is an expert in hair coloring, bob haircuts, layered cuts, blonde hair and more. read more

I've been going to Elena for years for my haircuts and color, and I truly wouldn't trust anyone else! Every few months, she does my highlights, and every five weeks I go in for a color touch-up. The results are always natural, vibrant, and beautifully blended. Elena also cuts my hair, my husband's, and my child's. Her men's haircuts are sharp, clean, and stylish -- my husband always gets compliments. And she's amazing with kids -- patient, quick, and fun. We feel lucky to have a family hairstylist we can count on. Whenever I have a special event -- a wedding, photo shoot, or party -- I book with Elena for makeup and hairstyling. She always creates a flawless look that makes me feel confident and beautiful, and everything lasts all day. Elena is a top notch professional. Not only is she very responsive and clear, she is also so sweet and fun! Elena did my hair for my wedding, and the hair & MU for my bridesmaids. I truly believe that you won't go wrong with Elena! You will get quality service and guaranteed glam. Elena has been in the game for a while too, so you don't need to worry about the details. Elena was amazing on my wedding day and every interaction I had with her! Fantastic communication all the way through. We had a consultation where we did a try out with the planned style I wanted which was a Hollywood glam look. Although it was beautiful and exactly what I wanted at the time, I ended up changing my mind a few weeks later and went with a half up half down style with full curls and extensions. I was over the moon with my hair style, she made me look (and feel) like a princess! I highly recommend her for a worry free bridal experience! read more

I went to Elena to get my hair and makeup done for my engagement shoot and was so incredibly happy with her work and the whole experience! I contacted a bunch of hair and makeup people and Elena was the quickest to contact me back and was available on a Sunday. She is so warm and friendly and eased my nerves, as I usually don't wear makeup and get my hair done. She listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly what I had in mind flawlessly! My hair and makeup held up great for my 3 hour Photoshoot and it was even windy and sunny. You can tell she loves what she does and it shines through in her work. I highly recommend Elena for hair and makeup services and will absolutely come back when I need services again! read more

Elena is absolutely incredible! She went above and beyond to provide me with an elegant classic look for my engagement and I insist on using her services for all glam needs ( including wedding) moving forward. I reached out to her a day before my engagement hoping I would find someone who could come to my place and help me get ready and she was able to show up, fully ready for our big day with less than 12 hours of notice ( it was off season). I showed her inspo pics of what I was hoping to look like and she NAIlED it. I ran around all day and my hair and makeup stayed in place, even after sleeping in my hair, it looked incredible the next day. Between her incredible service, glam, and positive vibes ( which were needed to calm me down), I couldn't have asked for a better makeup and hair artist to make my day special! If you are on the fence about your artist, I am confident you won't regret booking Elena! read more

Elena did a beautiful full highlight and haircut on my long hair! The blonde is bright, blended, and natural-looking -- no brass. She trimmed the ends, added soft layers, and gave my hair shape without losing the length. If you're looking for a hair colorist and stylist for long hair in the Bay Area, she's the best! read more

ELENA IS PHENOMENAL!!! She was recommended to me by my wedding coordinator and I'm sooooo happy that we chose her for my wedding hair and makeup. Her and her team showed up on time (early, actually), brought all of their tools and equipment and even managed to finish before our scheduled end time. She literally made me feel and look like a princess! She made my hair look so full that multiple of my wedding guests came up to me asking if I had extensions and were shocked to learn that it's my real hair (they all asked for her number afterwards). She is also the sweetest, kindest and most energetic person -- she made me and all of my bridesmaids want to be her friend in the future. She truly deserves all the stars in the world and I can't wait to see her again in the future for my next events. Thank you, Elena! read more

Elena is truly a master of her craft. I met her at my best friend's wedding where she did my friend (the bride's) HMU. I was a bridesmaid at I was engaged for my May wedding! After seeing the phenomenal work Elena did (both hair and impeccable makeup for my friend) I knew she had to do my bridal glam for our wedding day! On a personal note.. Elena is like amazing. She is fun and kind and I want to be her friend. She showed up to my trial despite the war in Ukraine impacting her travel plans to visit family and she is just a remarkable person. She did my Mom and I's hair and makeup for the wedding day and it was stunning. And it stayed put and photographed so well! Very key. I love Elena and could not recommend her highly enough. I have referred her to other brides and I hope everyone gets to have her as part of their wedding day. I trust her taste and she can truly do whatever you envision. read more

If you want to feel and look beautiful, work with Elena! Elena did my hair and makeup for my wedding in San Francisco, CA and I was ecstatic with her work. She and her team helped me, my mother, mother-in-law, bridesmaids, and junior bridesmaid feel pampered and look gorgeous. Throughout my communications with Elena, she was always efficient, professional, honest, and transparent. She helped me build a realistic timeline and supplemented her team with additional members to make sure we were all ready right on time. When I met with her for a trial, she listened to my likes, dislikes, and wishes and helped create the perfect look. She is extremely knowledgeable. When initially she shared that she thinks certain tones would suit my complexion best, I was skeptical, but the second she got to work and especially once I saw the results, I was blown away! The look was perfect! It was exactly what I wanted but didn't have the terminology to explain it. She also listened to feedback... when I wanted more sparkles, she happily made that happen! On the actual wedding day, Elena was a complete pleasure to have in the wedding suite! She effortlessly fit in with everyone in the room and her warm and friendly demeanor was very appreciated. From bonding with my mom to laughing with our junior bridesmaid (a 13-year-old!), Elena has a magic touch where she is able to communicate with everyone! I highly recommend Elena to everyone looking to look and feel beautiful! Throughout the wedding day, I received so many compliments on my hair and make-up and I continue to look at my wedding photos with admiration of my look! Since the wedding, anytime anyone is looking for a hair and make-up artist, I wholeheartedly recommend Elena! read more

Elena has made my wedding day truly magical. I can't say enough great things about her and the way she did my hair and makeup. She created something very special for my look and made sure it lasted all day (even through a very windy Sonoma evening!). For my bridesmaids, she brought Linda to assist and let me tell you, I can't believe how great everyone's look turned out! There were a few shorter haircuts and she still managed to create an elaborate updo where no one would have guessed the length of hair. Linda was just so impressive. Overall, you should definitely book Elena for your special event!
