I could not recommend a moving company more highly. Our moving experience with Make Moves was night and day compared to other moving experiences we have had. This company is EXTREMELY responsive. We were able to secure our desired move date and the staff were in constant communication leading up to the move to ensure everything went smoothly. The instructions of what we needed to do to prepare were extremely clear, which we really appreciated. They were able to give us a realistic quote the day we booked and reminded us to secure street parking and other details to make move day as smooth as possible. Move day was a breeze and went extremely quickly. Our large apartment was packed and moved into our new house within 2.5 hours. The staff was extremely careful moving our possessions. You could tell they really cared about making sure our belongings and furniture arrived intact and unharmed. I am a Realtor, so I work with moving companies a lot. I have experience with a lot of moving companies, but when I needed to move my family, the movers I chose were "Make Moves". They're professional, reasonable, and gave me a comprehensive quote. They worked with me when I had to change my move date, and the day of the move they had prepared me with exactly what to expect. They sent 6 guys (as quoted) and those 6 guys moved like lightning! I couldn't believe how fast and how well they worked! The move didn't take as much time as they had budgeted (which I appreciated!) and ended up being about 2 hours less than they had quoted, so I only paid for the time the guys were there. The office staff is fantastic to work with, and the movers executed the move perfectly. From start to finish I was impressed. I used Make Moves for my recent move from a condo to a house and they were great! The move was easy to schedule and they were able to revise my quote and inventory multiple times, even right before my move started and Bobby and Matt in the office were very helpful. My movers were also great! I was moving out of a third floor condo with some very tight spaces. The three guys came, disassembled and carefully wrapped all of my furniture, and moved everything safely down the stairs. They were also incredibly efficient and moved everything out in a little over 3 hours. The guys even took some stuff to the trash for me. The next day, they showed up within the window, and quickly moved everything into my new house and reassembled all the furniture. They were also great about asking where I wanted everything and even moving some furniture around when I changed my mind. Cannot say enough about how awesome the guys were! I never write reviews for anything but am so pleased with this company that I signed up for a yelp account. They were extremely flexible, super friendly, and did a great job! I planned to have my husband take apart the baby's crib while the guys started moving things. Before I even had a chance to tell him to go take it apart, one of the guys already had it disassembled and ready to go! And he put it together so quickly at our new house too. I was very impressed with the professionalism of the guys - especially considering that a few of them looked young. They worked non-stop for 6 hours and never once complained. not worth the headache if you ask me they showed up on time but what they said to me and what i over herd them saying was very unprofessional also i herd them saying the company doesnt train anyone they just get hired and thrown to the wolves which in result scratched my friends walls up took a chunk out of a corner of the wall and left gauges in the brand new flooring of the new house even tho we told the office we would like floor protection even if it costs extra bobby the estimator told my friend that wouldnt be a problem but when the movers showed up they had no idea and did nothing about it there was a good 6-10 boxes that were completely crushed and aid fragile on the side of course the stuff inside was infact broken. i wouldnt recomend this company to any1 very unprofessional if you ask me read more

My mother recently had an emotional move after my father's unexpected death. She was moving from the house they built together to a smaller place. Needless to say, it was an incredibly stressful time even without the packing and moving. That being said, our movers were kind, careful, and patient. I was concerned about using one of the "big box" movers- I didn't want movers who were treating my mother like just another job. Make Moves were the real deal- Matt handled the move personally from start to finish after I had explained the situation. Tony, Marshall, Eric, and Gilbert(?) did a great job with our move last weekend. It was a four-bedroom house, so a decent amount of stuff. They worked efficiently, were careful with our possessions, and seemed to get along really well with each other, which helped them work well as a team. Tony in particular stood out. I've been a manager for seven years, and I know a good one when I see one. He was friendly and professional and good at keeping his team working well together. He was clear about what would happen when, and it made us feel confident so we didn't have to watch their every move while they loaded the truck. I used Make Moves LLC to move in and out of apartments two years in a row. They're about what you would expect: two strong guys with a bunch of dollies, straps, tape, and a truck. Both times they took about an hour to move my stuff out and about an hour to move it in. (I don't have much stuff TBH, just a bed, a desk, a TV and a treadmill with boxes and bags). They disassembled and reassembled my larger furniture without problem, and navigated things in and out of the apartments with ease. These guys are the best! Matt and Ryan moved my belongings from a house into a storage unit, and were so careful and professional I was more than impressed. They were friendly and hard working, and took just the amount of time estimated.The final bill matched the estimate almost to the penny, and all my furniture was efficiently, carefully loaded into the unit. My last move was an unprofessional disaster, with surly workers, breakage, and a bill well above the estimate. We recently relocated in Pittsburgh and Matt and his team did an awesome job. It is hard to find good help these days and I would have to say that Matt and his team are an exception! Matt was extremely responsive to our calls from the first time we spoke all the way through the move. During the day of the move it was raining and Matt proactively let us know that they would be bringing blankets and make sure that our carpets would not get ruined. Used Make Moves recently for a short distance move from Robinson apartment to home in Moon recently. The 3 people did a very good job and kept cost within quote even if the estimated time was less. Ryan was particularly careful in moving heavy furniture to upstairs, making sure nothing is damaged including narrow staircase wall. I will recommend this company for moving. This is a relatively young company in the business and office tel is not manned all the time so it took a while to get reply. This was a little inconvenient but I guess helps keep cost down. read more
