If I could give Meta Movers 6 stars, I absolutely would! I called a few weeks ahead for a local move (about 5 miles) and was quoted a flat rate for 3 hours, with prorated charges after that. I had everything packed and ready, and they were incredibly efficient--my old apartment was emptied in an hour, and everything was moved into the new place within another hour. Not only were they fast, but they also handled my belongings with great care. I told them everything could just go into the living room, but they went above and beyond by placing items in the correct rooms, which made unpacking so much easier. The whole process was smooth, professional, and stress-free. 12/10 recommend Meta Movers-- I hate moving and this was so so so worth it! read more

I used Meta Movers for my last move and everything went smoothly. The manager called me back super quickly and scheduled me without hassle. They did the move with no hiccups which saved me a ton of stress. 10/10 would recommend and definitely will be using them again in the future. read more

I used Meta Movers this morning for an in-town move and I was very pleased with their service. They were quick to respond to my initial inquiry and up front about the 3 hour minimum. The movers today were on time, professional, and efficient. They treated my things with care and, as far as I've seen, nothing was damaged. I think the $175/hr price was fair for 3 movers, a truck, and their various equipment. I don't plan to move again any time soon, but I would use Meta Movers again in the future! read more

This is my second *big* move with Ross and the Meta Movers crew. They have such a good attitude and make moving a breeze. They're honestly a complete pleasure to work with. They bring a very light and go with the flow attitude with them. Some big things: 1) they're very responsive. They are great about calling back & also we're really responsive via text. (2) I had a lot of worries and called a lot my first time around and he was always so nice about answering my questions (3) there's no hidden fees. You pay your hourly rate, they're very transparent & they work SUPER efficiently (4) I have a lot of expensive furniture and they handle everything with such care. (5) I moved to very different places during both my moves & I needed help deciding where things should go. They have a great eye & are very helpful in making sure everything is placed where you want. I honestly love them & will definitely do my future moves with them. Moving is super stressful and they honestly make it a very pleasant experience. read more

Throughout the move, Ross and his colleague were incredibly careful with all of my belongings, especially the fragile items such as my large kitchen appliances, my TV, and several wardrobes. I was honestly expecting some damage as I have historically from my previous moving experience, but to my surprise, everything arrived at my new place completely unscathed. Even with the flights of stairs that they had to navigate through, they did not leave any marks nor damage to the walls or floors. What really stood out to me was how efficient they were. They wasted no time in getting started and gave me timely updates from their ETA to the place that I was moving out, to my destination. I really appreciated how they respected my time and kept me in the loop throughout the entire process. They were also communicative and transparent in what they foresee as a limitation of what they're capable of moving, and by doing so we managed to set our expectations as to what they can truly offer. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my experience with Meta Movers. The team was professional, courteous, and went above and beyond to ensure that my move was as smooth and stress-free as possible. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of moving services and I highly suggest contacting Ross for any of your future moving needs. read more

Such an easy move! Very quick and efficient. Relieved a lot of stress for me. Mike and Kenny were awesome and I would definitely use them again! They were careful, organized and friendly. Highly Recommend! read more

First of all, they arrived 5min earlier than scheduled. Then they listen carefully our instructions with two extra stops before the final destination. They carried all the furnitures to the rooms, not just dropped at the entrances. Two guys worked so hard and efficiently that our whole house's moving was finished in 3 and half hours. The pricing is very clear; $140/hr. We were completely satisfied with everything they did. read more

I always make it a goal to get at least 3 quotes for movers as prices tend to be all over the place and a lot of people don't even respond to inquiries. Pittsburgh is nothing like DC when it comes to movers. You can find movers who do long distance moves easily in DC whereas a lot of the movers in Pittsburgh only do local moves, don't respond to inquiries at all, or can't guarantee delivery of your items until up to 8 days of them packing your stuff as it is being loaded with other people's moves. Meta Movers was a true Godsend. Ross responded to me promptly and gave me a great quote to move from Pittsburgh to Burlington, VT with my items arriving the very next day of them being picked up in Pittsburgh. I couldn't accomplish this with any of the other movers in Pittsburgh I reached out to. It was either no responses, up to 8 days for delivery, higher prices compared to Meta with still the 8 day delivery window, and some company had the tenacity to quote me almost $9,000 for a 1 bedroom apartment move 600 miles away. WTF?! Anyway, I highly recommend Meta Movers if you're moving in or out of the Pittsburgh area. Ross and Marc are amazing. I wouldn't waste my time with any other movers in the area as I reached out to all of them and they all disappointed in their prices, delivery schedules, and/or responses. read more

These guys are fantastic!! We did a cross country move, and needed to unload a container. Ross was extremely helpful, and they were here when they said they would be. Very professional! Great value for the money, definitely. They finished a two hour job in about 45 minutes, and made certain everything was where we wanted it to be. Cannot day enough positive things! Highly recommend!! read more

Awesome guys! Finished moving all my stuff from a third floor walk up in record time! They were efficient, nice, and organized all my items into my U-Haul really well. I would 100% recommend this team! read more

Cannot recommend Meta Movers enough. Extremely careful with all our stuff, including an antique hutch and had no wait for our items. They packed up on Saturday and delivered on Sunday for an interstate move. They were fast and efficient. Great communication even with the CoI needed for the building. read more

Hire them! This was my first time using Meta Movers after getting a recommendations from a friend. They were responsive on the phone/email and were able to give us a quote up front. They showed up on time the day of the move and moved everything in a timely matter. They packed our things into the truck with care and didn't ding up the house while moving things. Super nice guys and very hard workers. We will be recommending them and using them for any other moving needs in the future. Do yourself a favor and hire them - they actually care and do a great job! read more

Had a wonderful experience with Meta Movers when I moved in May. I called a number of moving companies in Pittsburgh for quotes. Most of them were either more expensive (in a couple of cases astronomically expensive!) and/or didn't have specific pickup/delivery dates (meaning, my stuff would be 1st going to some warehouse, then added to a big truck with other people's stuff once they can fill it up, and only then I'd find out when it would be delivered). There was none of these with Meta Movers. They were on a lower end of the price range and had set pickup/delivery dates (delivery the day after the pickup). Ross communicated with me very promptly and clearly, always answered all my questions. The move went on without any problems: nothing damaged/broken, both pickup and delivery on time. They had to deal with a rather tight entrance to my new apartment, but they managed to move in even the big items (couch). All the movers were courteous and considerate. Great moving company, definitely recommended! read more

I have used Ross and his team for two moves. They were incredibly professional, they showed up on time and were very careful with my objects. Not only that but they move very quickly! Anytime I plan to move in this area I will be contacting them as should you! Great price for it even better labor read more

This is our second time using meta movers and it was just as good as last time! On time, quick and efficient and over all a good experience. Reasonable cost as well. Thanks again!! read more

I just hired Meta Movers to move me from an apartment to a house and they did an awesome job. They were quick to respond to my quote request, responsive to my questions (like how to move my precious, fragile cactus) and the movers day-of were friendly, professional and very fast. They also answered my questions as we went about how things would be stored on the truck and disassembled/re-assembled my furniture. I'd recommend them without hesitation. read more

I'd give these guys more stars if I could. I've honestly never had a better, or even a positive, moving experience. Moving is one of those things in life like getting dumped: it ALWAYS sucks. Ross and his crew made it easy. I never Yelp but they deserve it. They helped me make arrangements and organize everything from out of state. I had to move my mother in law with little notice and couldn't take off much time from work. You guys killed it. You almost make me want to move to Pittsburgh. Almost :) read more

Finding a reliable mover can be tricky. Meta movers was a home run. We moved apartments in Pittsburgh - within the same building so we didn't even need a truck but they moved all our large items. Ross and Marc were SO hard working, and did a great job. They were all about doing it right, and quite speedy too. If you want your stuff in good hands, at a reasonable price, Meta movers made everything easy. read more

Meta Movers provide exceptional service. They are truly the best movers I have ever used. Ross, who owns the company was so nice and patient with all my questions. They have a very organized system of how to move your belongings. Ross and Mark handled my belongings with the utmost care and were very concerned about where they were placing it in my new home; they wanted to make sure it was exactly where I wanted it. They are very nice guys and work fast and efficiently. They also charged me about half of what other movers in my area quoted me! That's the truth. I cannot say enough good about Meta Movers. They are great! I would use them again in a heartbeat and when I buy my own home and move again they will be the ones I will call. Also, I'm not a friend or family member. Just an extremely satisfied customer of Meta Movers. You won't be sorry you called them, truly. read more

Meta Movers did an amazing job moving us into our new home. Ross was great to work with, very responsive throughout the process from beginning to end, and willing to go above and beyond to make our transition as smooth as possible (even on a cold and rainy day in December).
