Highly highly recommend!! This is my first time using a moving company, I don't know about other moving companies but this one, they have made my life so much easier! Shannon was my moving specialist, she is super nice and responsive. I had a million questions and I was very worried about the move, she was very patient with me and walked me through each step, calmed me down. No hidden fees, everything's listed on the quote and if you have any doubt, ask Shannon and she can clear all your doubt out. On the day of my move, the crew arrived on time and were super efficient. All three of them were all very kind and they paid a close attention to the furnitures and all the fragile stuff. As I said, highly recommend. We hired this company to pack and move our things in July of 2021. The movers were quick to pack and load everything onto their truck, but everything the movers did after they loaded everything was completely unprofessional and incompetent. After the truck left our old address, the movers took more than an hour to arrive at the destination which couldn't have been more than a 5 minute drive away. When the movers finally did come back with the truck, they were drinking sodas, so we assumed they just went to lunch. Nothing wrong there -- it was noon and people have to eat. However, at the end of the day they charged us for the hour they were at lunch (see attached photos). At the end of the move when we were unpacking, we saw that the movers had significantly damaged many of our possessions including our printer, an office chair, an office desk, kitchen supplies, our TV console, and had lost many items including the screws needed to reassemble our bed frame. The movers took no responsibility and just told us to search for the lost items in the old apartment (which did not have the missing items). Unfortunately we did not get an upgraded insurance policy as we did not expect a $240/hr company to be this bad at their work. We naively believed that a company with glowing reviews on the internet could do their jobs correctly. Nonetheless, we decided we would settle for the $0.60/lb reimbursement. After nearly a month before we finally got ahold of Prime Moving again for reimbursement, they simply denied that their movers had done the damage and refused to reimburse us for more than $100 for having caused nearly $500 of damage. Apparently if you don't take before and after photos of everything you own, they can just deny that their workers did anything wrong. The crew arrived not just on time, but a few minutes early. They were dressed appropriately and clean and worked well together and at full speed. They were super careful with my stuff and protected my thing better than some companies for cross country moves. They carefully moved out of my townhouse and into my new condo. I was happy with them overall. Moving sucks so bad, so it helps to have a relatively smooth moving company help you ease the pain! They gave a window of time they'd show up between 9-10a and showed up at 10:15am. Not terrible, and honestly expected. We did an evaluation prior to the move with one of their staff members, so she actually came into my house and went through the entire place room by room and estimated how many boxes vs how much time they'd need and how much staff. We actually ended up moving a bunch of the little boxes ourselves because we had to push the move back by two weeks and had our new house available to store things in. I think they probably ended up sending too many guys, but whatever, that made things go faster in my mind! So with 6 guys they really did hustle. Our house was cleared out in 3 hours. All the big stuff including an entire living room set, spare bedroom, kids bedroom, kitchen, bathrooms, attic, basement and closets. They hustled so much that they basically ended up running out of the house without a final walkthrough. So they ended up leaving a few things behind, including empty gatorade bottles the staff were drinking out of. We realized that some things were missing once we were at the new house and they didn't charge us for the extra time to go back over and get the rest of the items. We also had a slight snafu when it came time to pay. I had them run my credit card with the final total and then it popped up that I owed $120 more. I thought that was really weird, and so did the guys, because they commented they'd never seen that before! Apparently it was the charges for using a credit card. Listen, I fully admit I didn't read all the paperwork they sent over, but it wasn't overly apparent to me because I would have just gotten cash out to begin with (their preferred method of payment) if it was in big bold letters somewhere. I got mixed signals on if a check was accepted, but I would ask just to be clear if you are using them. They did refund me my CC charge and I just ran down to the bank and got money. So that's a relief they did that for me. Overall good experience and would recommend them with those tips I laid out! read more

This has been my 5th time paying someone to move our stuff. I would have to say Prime Moving has been the best, out of all of them. Shannon was communicative and friendly. Lucas, Chris, and Andre were energized and worked quickly. They thoroughly wrapped our furniture -a lot more than other companies. Please do not hire the nightmare that is Prime moving. My husband and I went with Prime because it had a good rating on Yelp and competitive prices, especially when offering four movers. We worked with Shannon at the company, she was pleasant and responsive to all our inquiries. Then the day of the move happened... We were giving an hour window for the movers to show up. I received two calls from the head mover, Derrick, each one telling me that they would be another 20 minutes. They finally arrived after 10 am, two of the three movers were visible high on drugs. Derrick could barely talk me through the contracts, and while we did the walk through, instead of prepping the truck, the other two followed us mindlessly through the apartment. At some point shortly after we finished the walk through I left to run down the street. As I came down the steps I noticed that they were using the companies iPad to prop the door open. I asked them to please remove it because it was not an ideal situation, to which they replied "well if our boss gave us the right tools we wouldn't have to do that". As I pulled out I could see the movers all huddled on the truck talking. When I returned about 10 mins later they were still in the same position and my husband had already started moving stuff. When he addressed them and how they were not really doing anything they basically laughed. I quickly called Shannon at Prime to report this. We had a conversation where she apologized and promised to escalate this to her boss. We ended our call and I expected a call back, especially after I called to leave another message to remind her that our confirmation email stated we would receive four movers but only three showed up, that return call never happened. My husband later tried to call Shannon multiple times but she was completely unresponsive, only aggravating our situation further. The day continued on with the same theme. The movers were lazy, rude, unprofessional, and overall inadequately equipped to be moving people's belongings. They did not have any shoe covers nor did they have protection for my hardwoods or carpet. They also needed to be guided on how to move the furniture. After we packed up the apartment they then told us they need to make a detour for gas and snacks. Another hour went by before they finally showed up at our house. Just for context, our apartment is 15 mins from our house. At one point during the move, the mover who was manning the truck was now shirtless in my front yard moving things! My bedroom chest of drawers was also damaged in the move because they didn't wrapped it correctly. The final straw was when they tried to charge us for six hours of work and double the amount that this move was worth. I do have to say that the manager was helpful, my husband asked to speak with him and we ended up only paying half of what the movers were attempting to charge. Moving is already a stressful event in peoples lives, hiring movers is expensive and should add convenience to the day, not increase the aggravation. I would highly advise to avoid this company, their movers are not trained, are unprofessional, and there clearly is a loose drug policy if any at all. read more

They were friendly, professional and worked so hard. They went above and beyond not willing to leave anything behind for me to worry about. This review is for their moving quote only. Given the stellar reviews, I think they should be given some balance. I, too, noticed this company comes up at the top of Google and Yelp lists for movers. Great. I enlisted three at the top to give me quotes based on same info I gave via email. Prime Moving Company was nearly twice the quote of the one I chose, GE Logistic Solutions, one I was very pleased with. I have several issues here. One, an office worker, one who was not going to be moving me, was doing the quote. Two, she was using a form regardless of exact info I already provided. It included questions and answers that did not relate to my situation. I was moving out of a still occupied house. The square footage was not relevant but most likely played into the high quote. In other words, best to go with a mover in which the actual mover is going to give you a quote. So, I did. I feel I ended up with a more personal experience. read more

Unprofessional, three out of three beds couldn't be reassembled because of misplaced hardware. A box of my clothes was drenched in liquid from another box that leaked out. We contacted this company for a quote. They sent us an email asking us to list every single item in our house and the number of boxes we would have. They also asked for other information such as how many steps there were, how many adults & children live in our house, how long we've lived here, etc. We provided all the requested information and then received an extensive inventory form to complete. We completed that and were told they needed to send an estimator on-site. Estimator came and we finally received a quote with an option to choose an hourly rate or a flat rate. The hourly rate was competitive, which we understand is due to regulatory pricing. The flat rate was exorbitant - more than double what we ended up paying. The process was cumbersome and time consuming but everybody we dealt with was very nice. We ended up working with a different company because Prime Moving has only been in business a few months, most of the reviews online are by their own employees and we just felt more comfortable with a competitor. read more

The Office Manager Shannon was on top of the details and professional throughout the process and the movers themselves- Lucas- the lead and Zaire, Chris and Derrick could not have been more accommodating. Prime Moving Center helped me move a 1-bedroom apartment this past Sunday. It was the best moving experience I could ever ask for! These guys are great. My move from Butler to City Storage in Pittsburgh ended up being $150 under the estimate. You don't go by square footage of the house. The price is also factored in by the distance of the move and hours it takes. Do your inventory sheet so you can the size of truck you need and moving materials. Shannon is knowledgeable, patient and awesome. My move was so smooth. No extra charge for weekends. 4 guys came and were very efficient and professional. All my items were carefully wrapped. I HATE to give them this rating... the customer service has been amazing up until moving day. Unfortunately their "supervisor" who forgot to review the notes before blaming me (the customer) and did not seem capable to let the screw up go (dispatch's mistake) I WAS! Haha and I am the one who had to change my flights Get a hotel until they could come again and ext Storage unit again as well ... I just wanted to get ON with it. She unfortunately wanted to keep rehashing the issue and accusing me of any and everything she could think of. After explaining Covid complications had begin the array of health issues and delays Her only reply was When dinks you have it over and over... (interrupting me as I was trying to explain,) all she cared about was did I have it now? Because they couldn't service us . just unbelievable, I went on to say had she let me finish, I had been vaccinated as well after the second strain of Covid and the vaccine appears to be worse for me personally than the virus. Therefore the umpteen delays and heads up on rebooking didn't seem to be an issue for anyone months previous. She just seem to enjoy berating me. Now i can not get a call or text or email reply from any of the offices and have no idea if and when our stuff will get picked up at all. I will sit and beg and be at her beck and call as this is what customers should do who only have 3,000-4,000 shipments, right? No way!! We used Prime Moving Center to move us March 20th, last year and I'm still very upset that after they moved us I discovered most of our expensive jewelry missing from a personal bag that they weren't suppose to move. I'm talking about thousands and thousands of dollars in value, not to mention the sentimental value, wedding ring, an expensive pendant necklace from a friend about 30 years ago, and much more. I am still angry and devastated that people would do such a thing. The staff is very helpful until you have a problem, and they make sure you don't have any right to talk to the workers yourself to get answers! This was my first time hiring a local moving company. Our move from our apartment to our house was less than two miles. I originally went with Prime Moving Center because they had good reviews and competitive pricing. I really liked that they had a cash rate, which was cheaper than using a credit card. They also had a minimum of three hours, whereas a lot of companies had a minimum of 5 hours. I will say I severely underestimated how long it would take to move my stuff. I boxed up my belongings myself, so they weren't packing those. We had three movers that worked hard. It was very hot and humid, and my apartment is on the third floor, so it wasn't easy to haul everything. I haven't unpacked everything yet, but it doesn't appear there was any damage. There isn't any damage to the furniture as they assembled all of that. I don't remember their names, but one was named Bruce. All were professional and polite and were hardworking. Beware of this company. They have great reviews. The main head movers are great, Mike and Lucas, but the helpers will steal from you. They smoked in my new house and also drank a whole bottle of alcohol prior to arriving at the new house with my items. I found the empty bottle stashed in one of my moving boxes. My wife and I do not drink this type of alcohol, we have it for guests. read more

Lucas and his team moved me out of my 2 bedroom house in Mount Washington and it's not necessarily the easiest place to move-out of but they did an AMAZING job. I would recommend them to anyone in the Pittsburgh area. I moved all of my belongings, furniture, boxes, etc to a storage unit and they wrapped and packed everything so nicely and I can trust that everything will still be in tip top shape when I return home. They were kind, quick, and made everything so easy. Also - Shannon (in the office, I'm assuming) was so friendly and so helpful. She made everything so easy to lock in and book.
