I went to all of Kalamazoo's discount appliance places in one day, and this is easily the best of the bunch. The place is clean and quiet, and everything is tagged with the specs so you can shop without assistance. They have fairly upscale-level used and dinged appliances, so its a great place to find a nice stainless steel fridge for around $600. If you're looking for something more on the cheap side then check out Ted's Appliances, but Major is a nice balance between quality product and value pricing. Also the delivery guys were prompt and super helpful - they even helped uninstall and haul away an ancient range hood when they were only there for a fridge delivery. read more

I needed a new refrigerator in the middle of the lockdown in 2020. I ordered from a big box store and they kept extending the wait time to get it. After three months of waiting, one day I was driving from Paw Paw to Kalamazoo on Red Arrow Highway and decided to stop at Major Appliance to see what they had. I was thrilled to find an even larger refrig (in the box) than I'd ordered from the big box store, at $600 less AND it was delivered the next day! They had a tight area to work in to get the old refrig out and new refrig in, but they did it perfectly. The staff is so friendly, the prices are amazing and I recommend this business to everyone I know. My washer died yesterday, and I will be on the phone this morning to request a repairman come check it out. If it can't be fixed, I've already found its replacement on their web site. read more

I just received my delivery of a quality used washer and dryer. The set was a great value, and the delivery guys were awesome! It was a tight corner and down into the basement. They had to remove the door, then navigated it without a nick. Got everything set up, ran tests on both, discovered the dryer vent was loose so fixed it and then offered to come back when they were back in the area with a tool to clean the vent! On top of it all, they were very patient, friendly and professional, and did all of that in no time. I have used them before and tell all my friends - it's hard to get service like this anymore, so when I do, I want to keep them in business! read more

I've always bought refurbished appliances and I've had good luck. I've bought two machines, a waher and dryer, which work great. The shop is a little difficult to find and the help , doesnt inspire a warm welcome - but if your goal is to get good machines at a reasonable price, this will do. read more

I needed someone to fix my Samsung dryer from continually shutting off, I called Major Appliance, the girl that answered was so sweet, and she sent someone out that day. Apparently it was just the dryer vent was clogged! Fixed it in 5 minutes. The guy was so nice and didn't even charge me because he said they were in the area.
