The railing was very disappointing. . I asked him to make it look like another railing I had, but he made it too high and didn't go to the top or bottom steps. He said he couldn't install it into the ground; but it can. When I told him it was too high he said it was code, which it was not. He also suggested I plant shrubs to make it look less high, which would add to the expense. The worst part is that he said he could probably do something to make it more appealing to me, but I have been calling him for weeks and he obviously is not going to honor his obligation. Be careful of this company - really dishonest. One brother came out and gave an estimate for $1,600.00. Then his other brother came out and said if he has to find studs, then it is another 600 to install the railing. He would have to drill small holes to find one or two of the other studs since he sees all the others. Then they said they never received the contract, yet they answered the email attaching the contract and sent me their certificate of insurance. Then the woman he had in the office was swearing in the background - she spoke another language but I heard the swear words in English. These guys are crooks. Then his truck broke down and he was fixing at my location. Very unfprofessional. read more

I recently had a problem obtaining a continuing certificate of occupancy from my township days before my scheduled real estate closing. I had a loose railing on the front steps. I called Majka Railing and even though they were booked for days, they diverted Fred (an owner) to my home. He could see I was in a huge rush, but instead of offering expensive, emergency service, he proposed a simple solution. I called this company (MAJKA) last week and was told I would be getting a call back. NEVER did get a call back. I needed railings for the front of my home. Normally I like to look at ratings before calling any company. Because of the stars I've seen for this company, it made me call them. The girl that answered the phone sounded like she didn't want to be there, and wasn't nice at all. Still hoping someone would call me back, and never did. So this just makes me think that if there was ever a problem I would not get a call back. Luckily there are more railing companies in New Jersey with 5 stars and was able to obtain one...and got a call back!!! Very unprofessional.....I guess this company has so many customers that new ones are not needed!! read more
