I called in my order of 2 chicken over rice platters with white sauce and no tomatoes, falafel and pita bread. When I got my food I was already disappointed to see that they had added hot sauce without my knowledge. I simply said I wanted white sauce not hot sauce but I gave it a shot anyway. It was pretty good but that heat definitely sneaks up on you. (Or maybe my heat level is weak! lol) I loved how their chicken was mixed with peppers and onions which gave it a nice flavor. As I dug in I noticed another fail. There were tomatoes! I would definitely recommended not putting your order over the phone just go in person if possible!!! The pita bread did not seem fresh at all. It had this grayish color as if heated up on an unclean plancha. And as for the falafel it was a bit dry and fried a bit too much but the flavor was great. All in all this was pretty good I just wish they followed instructions and made things to my liking.

The ribs as always were falling off the bone and like an idiot I forgot to ask for Bbq sauce but honestly you didn't even need some that's how good the ribs were. The Mac is cheesy and cooked exactly how I want it to taste. It sticks together and is never burnt on top. But I have tried the potato salad (a hit for sure), collard greens (seasoned to perfection), and the sweet potato fries (which I don't like, because I don't really care for a sweet potato fry. But they are steak cut and glazed with a sweet yet light glaze). As for the meats: I've had the fried catfish, catfish bites, beef ribs, fried chicken breast, baked chicken breast, fried chicken wings (BBQ & Jerk), and the salmon, crabcakes, and the ultimate feast. Oh and I've had their chicken strips. By far my favorite and frequently ordered are the catfish bites and chicken strips. Just know that this restaurant used to be a sit down intimate spot with a catering hall a few doors down. But since CoVid, it has become solely takeout and delivery by the apps. So, you won't get a full dining experience and will have to pay for a certain kind of packaging. For instance, if you don't want your food to touch or leak into other food the. Since then, I've visited on 3 occasions, usually on a Friday, to grab dinner. The restaurant itself is mainly take out and pretty bare bones. They have a window where you place your order, a couple pictures on the wall, and a small countertop seating area to wait or eat at. Above all, its clean. Be mindful though, the restaurant is located right on White Plains Road and only a few steps from a train station. Parking can be tough! 2 out 3 times I ended up double parking, luckily they don't take super long with the food. Now let's talk about the food. Firstly, the menu is a seafood lover's dream. Its comprised of different seafood selections including whiting, porgy, salmon, and shrimp. They also offer either rice or fries as a side and some desserts. I especially love the variety of sauces offered. Each time I've gone there, I've had the same thing, the whiting and shrimp combo. It is consistently (and I say that so happily!) prepared the same way and always delicious! The shrimp is nicely cooked without being overdone or underdone. I also enjoy the seasoning used as it is not too salty or spicy, everything is mild. Whiting is my favorite type of fish and they do a good job on preparing it. Again, its prepared nicely. Being such a delicate and thin filet, they do a good job of frying it without overdoing it. The flesh is always white and moist, while the seasoning is perfect. I must say however, I'm not a huge fan of the fries. They appear to be seasoned but they taste like plain frozen french fries that you can prepare at home. It would be great to have an option for cajun fries, seasoned wedges, or maybe sweet potato fries. Some steamed veggies would also be a plus. I typically get a side of tartar sauce and sweet chili, both super delicious and pair well with the meal. In terms of service, it appears to be a Black-owned establishment. I'm not sure who exactly the owner is but I always see a few young men in the back and I really respect their effort. No matter who I've encountered, they are always kind and respectful from the moment you walk in to the minute you leave. The food seems to be made fresh, so it does take a few minutes but nothing unreasonable based on the menu. In terms of pricing, it appears pretty standard to what I'm used to for this sort of restaurant. I typically pay $26 for my meal which is a good value in my opinion. Overall, I've had great experiences thus far. I will continue to return and I highly recommend to others!

Now, to my surprise it included and 5 wingettes, 8 shrimp, and those famous fries. Babeeeeeee!!!!! Let me tell you this best thing in the platter were the shrimp. Fried to perfection, a little sweet in flavor and complimented with tartar sauce. The wings don't look good. But they taste good. No batter/flour on the wings!!!!!!!! They are tasty....different though. Not sure I would order them alone. But if you're looking for delicious seafood...Don't hesitate!
