Not a big deal as I'm sure it's online somewhere or "hey you should know!" Would be nice for those of us that don't. The cheesesteak, from a foodie who can't claim to be connoisseur, was damn good. Even sauce to meat ratio, it was well seasoned, chopped just right and put onto a cheesy baked bread. Also, the cheese to steak ratio was perfect. Now, the rub. Took me over 25 minutes to get one. Love the food truck idea but there are two musts to the business: solid food prepared well and quickly. Trucks in Grand Army Plaza and the ones by Stamford pier have it right. This one does too, just needs to speed it up a bit.

The lackluster ambiance was also nearly a dealbreaker! Also, the restrooms also clearly needed more attention, a lil dirty and lil smelly. However, I decided to take a chance, and I'm glad I did. The food was surprisingly impressive. My partner loved the chicharrón de pollo with tostones and the chicken empanada taco. I opted for the baked chicken with rice and beans and the pernil empanada taco, both of which were delicious. The empanada tacos were easily the highlight of the meal. We paired everything with passion fruit margaritas that hit the spot. Despite the environment, the service was excellent, our server was attentive and very helpful. I'd come back for those empanada tacos alone if I am in the area.

Kept it simple and got the Combo over Rice ($8). Grilled lamb and beef over some greens, fried rice, and a bunch of yogurt/hot sauces on top. Meat has okay flavor, not really fresh but not chewy either. Rice could have been cooked longer, but the younger and hot sauce brings it all together. No pita bread to speak of. Guy inside was nice - may take some time to get food out. Basic truck with no line on a Saturday night, so worth it if you don't want to wait elsewhere.

When I first tried the food I was very impressed. The flavors were hitting, and that warm cup of broth with the shredded meat inside was all so yummy. The guys who worked the truck were pleasant as well. I would get extra sauces and onions free with no problem. Now after purchasing many tacos, tostadas, and the consommé, I'm just not crazy about the beef. It's too fatty for me. I think it needs to be trimmed more. It's my preference. I don't like to eat any chunks of fat and lately when I've visited that's what I've been receiving. I don't think I will eat here much anymore, I still will give a thumb up for flavor and customer service, but they should work on the meat. Happy Yelping!
