In the end, State Farm awarded me nearly 3x their original settlement and I was able to get my new roof for the price of my deductable! Once I recieved my initial insurance payment, Troy Sloma came to my home, went over all the things they were going to repair/replace, including the use of impact sturdy shingles, and scheduled the roof replacement a week later.
