Anyway, I must say that if you're fortunate enough to have Alexis for support, then you've lucked up. This young man is so knowledged!! Compassionate does not even describe him!! After numerous attempts on trying to diagnose and rectify the issue (it was an inverter which went bad), and many MANY emails and phone attempts​, Alexis contacted me (I'll call him my 'Angel', lol). We were on the phone for about an hour; Alexis apologized on behalf of Spruce, then meticulously reviewed each and every contact effort I had with Spruce, as well as my invoices with PSEG and Spruce, and determined that Spruce was in error. He figured out what amount he would submit as a credit towards future invoices by calculating each month that I was charged full rate- when my solar wasn't even producing. He said he would follow up...and today he did!! It was at the right time, as a few days ago I received another billing due on the 20th- where the newly issued credit should've wiped that out. I called cust svc and was told the credit wouldn't hit the account for at leasr 1-2 billing cycles . Well, Alexis called me at the right time!! I explained, and he listened. He assured me this should def. hit around the billing time due, which made me feel assured. OMG, he is excellent!! Alexis truly understands the meaning of serving the customer . I give a 5-star rating..NOT for Spruce directly, but for Alexis, who represents the company. I wish i could say thanks in person. I truly wish all employees were as stellar.

I bought my home in 2022. A solar system was already installed on the roof. Spruce had me sign a…read morenew lease to keep it running. Big mistake. No one told me the inverter had never been set up. It was never connected to WiFi. It was never commissioned. There was zero monitoring in place from day one. I only found out by calling the inverter manufacturer myself. They confirmed the system has no production data on file. None. Ever. Meanwhile, Spruce kept sending me production numbers. They claimed the system generated 346 kWh in May. That number came from nowhere. A working 16-panel system in Los Angeles should produce over 1,000 kWh that month. I have paid lease fees for over three years. I got nothing in return. My electricity bills stayed high the entire time. Spruce did not disclose the problem when I signed. They did not fix it when I complained. They did not even respond to my first demand letter. Do not sign anything with this company. Read your utility bills closely. Call your inverter manufacturer yourself. Do not trust their numbers.

There is no one in charge of the project and you speak to someone new each time and there never seems to be any follow through. They did not show up for the site assessment and ended up having to reschedule after we waited all day for their arrival. We have had multiple phone calls asking for the same thing and each time it is promised to be done right away, but never gets done. If I could just cancel the contract at this point I would as I have no faith that it is going to get done right or on time. Then, he was personally involved in installing the panels and all of the associated wiring, and in explaining how the system worked. In follow-up, he has always been readily available to tweak things, like when we changed our wifi network and needed to reconnect to the MyEnlighten system to monitor the amount of electricity being produced. I expect that we will expand our system in the future and add additional features, like a battery pack. Guy & KNS are highly recommended if you are looking to put in solar. They were not able to fix my problem today but explain to me what is wrong and why they can't fix it today but they with check with other people in the industry to see if they know someone come and fix our problem. They drafted up the whole HOA proposal, filed it and paid the permit fees. Dealt with everything from the energy provider. The HOA proposal was 18 pages long, and they wrote it. And the cost was less than Tesla wanted. Of course, Tesla came back and said, hey, we'll match that price. But at this point, it's too late. Like, why do I want to go back to you guys? Tesla energy is hard to work with and was being unreasonable. I signed the contract moved on, bought it from solstice. No regrets. I did still get the Tesla powerwall 3 and Tesla controller. Now they don't reply to phone calls, texts, or emails. We've had probably 6 or 7 serious roof leaks due to their poor installation and they have come out multiple times to fix them. They told me leaks are normal. If the job is done properly, leaks are not normal. I found this out from a regional solar outfitter. Nivo is probably the worst of any company I've ever worked with.
