We are new to Houston and a friend we have made recommended us to Stephen- Battalion Roofing Houston. The care and patience he took with me when asking all my roofing questions was amazing. Stephen is honest, caring and a GREAT SMALL BUSINESS OWNER. The quote he gave us was transparent; labor cost, material cost and top notch products. (he was almost half the price of a big roofing company and their quote was not transparent; he couldn't help us determine why it was so high either.. it didn't add up!) His quote for gutters and mesh guards is the best we've received also. He made us feel like part of the family from the moment we met. We had a boot replaced and they couldn't get to us with all the rain delays. He came out and covered the boot to prevent more leaking inside, and then he along with a crew member came out on a Saturday morning to replace the boot. While we do not want more roofing issues, I oddly can't wait to hire them for more work! 10/10, no notes, great small business and you won't regret hiring this company. read more

Everything was communicated well. Any request I asked for was pleasantly helpful. Would recommend.

Battalion Roofing Houston LLC. was the very best experience I could have ever expected, I can't lie I was very nerves because I had never heard of them before and boy was I surprised. Stephen and his crew did an absolutely wonderful job, on time workers were great and finished in one day as I was told. Steven took time to explain what and how my roof event would take place and he was spot on, everything was as he told me. If I ever have another roofing job I would not hasitate to use him, as a matter of fact I will not even price him out. Honest, Reliable and No BS , straight to the point. Thank You Stephen for your Honesty. Thank You Again!!!!! PS. Thank your guys for cleaning up as well as they did, used magnet for nails, pick up ALL debris and even used there blower to finish cleaning up. !!!! read more

I would recommend Battalion Roofing! Stephen was very professional and provided me with the confidence that I had chosen the right company to do the job. read more

Stephen and battalion roofing deserve far more than 5 stars. Stephen is a dream to work with, he's so knowledgeable and kind and honest. Amid these crazy times in Houston when roofing companies are slammed Stephen got to our roof very quickly and efficiently took care of business. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and use them again (hopefully it won't be needed though!) read more

We used them to replace our 30 year old gutters and replace a soffit that had water damage. The installation was top notch. There was one small leak behind the gutter with the next rainfall, but they came back and fixed it. We also got them to fix a leak around the chimney flashing. We would definitely use this company again. read more

We definitely recommend Battalion Roofing. We chose him over 3 potential roofing companies. Mr. Stephen was honest , professional, and quite knowledgeable. He was patient and kind too. He was not pushy. He was involved the whole time and we didn't have any problems communicating with him. It was efficiently and cleanly done! It was a relief having him especially to customers like us who do not have that much knowledge on roofing, ventilation, and its cost. He explained everything really well. We learned a lot from him! read more

Great experience overall. Quickly came by the home and gave us a quote including the sketch. We talked through why each area needed a gutter and Stephen was very flexible on changing the plan to meet our needs. Price was reasonable compared to other quotes we got, and most importantly the gutters look lovely and really fit the house, which was our biggest concern with adding the gutters. read more

My neighbor informed me of a potential problem with my roof. I messaged multiple companies and out of 10, this company was the most prompt, easy rescheduling, and great to work with. Stephen came out to take a look at my roof and said he didn't see any problems with my roof. He even made sure to take a look at the attic, in case there were any leaks, which I appreciated. They go above and beyond and I would work with this company again, if I have any problems in the future. Thanks, Stephen! read more

My house is in Pearland but I am stationed in California so when anything goes wrong with my house I'm pretty worried since I have to go on Yelp or google places that are well spoken of. Found Battalion Roofing and a few days after we speaking to Stephen he came did a free estimate, was very thorough with it. Came back 6 days later and fixed it. Actually changed my vent out at no extra charge. The military discount was a plus, we felt good about having his company fix our roof. He doesn't take card just cash and Venmo, I don't have Venmo glad I asked before he did the work. Hopefully I won't have to request his work anytime soon but if my roof needs work I'll call them again. read more

I whole-heartedly 100 percent recommend Battalion Roofing owned by Stephen Lawlis for any roofing project. From start to finish, Stephen is a professional gentleman. I sought five bids, and he was hands down my first choice. His was not the cheapest nor the most expensive bid. But he was the contractor whose advice I felt most comfortable with. The evening before the project, Stephen met the materials delivery to ensure the pallets were placed in the best position for the next day's work. The next morning Stephen and his crew arrived precisely on time. They tarped two-sides of our two and one-half story stucco home to protect it as well as laid protective sheeting on our landscaping. Then they immediately began removing the old shingles. His crew is a well-oiled machine. One crew member continuously walked the grounds picking up debris. Both of my neighbors were notified, and they both remarked how clean the project site was kept. Once the old shingles were removed and settled in the dumpster, they set up a lift that carried the packets of new shingles up. The afternoon flew by in a steady stream of expert and efficient work all done under Stephen's careful watch. And once it was done, the cleaning began. Not a speck of visible debris was left. Every piece of plastic, shingle scrap, tape, old tarp, etc. was removed. Even the crumbles of the old shingles were leaf-blown and swept up. By 5:00 pm our home was spotless with a beautiful new roof. read more

Super responsive and worked around my schedule. Found the leak was very minor so fixed it at no charge because he was in the area! Great service, very knowledgeable and good advice. I'll be using Battalion for any future roof work I need done. read more

We needed to replace our aging roof and requested quotes from 4 different roofing contractors. After meeting with everyone, we narrowed it down to 2 contractors who we felt offered competitive but reasonable quotes and who were knowledgeable and honest. At the end of the day, Stephen was our pick due to his bedside manner, attention to detail, and his working knowledge of roofs. Completely replaced our roof in one day but more than that designed a better performing (for thermal purposes) roof set-up without unnecessary vents, etc that other roofers were trying to push. Also cleaned up the jobsite afterwards. If you're looking for the lowest price this probably isn't your guy. But if you're looking for the best value, then I can definitely recommend Stephen and Battalion. read more

I HIGHLY recommend Battalion Roofing for your roofing needs. Stephen is extremely knowledgeable, honest, and professional. He gave us detailed advice and put us at ease on the work needed. Competitive pricing with a great warranty. His crew is highly skilled -- I can't believe how quickly they work! They cleaned up everything as if they had not been there. A+ for Battalion Roofing. (And I'm in Houston, not sure why Yelp shows me in California!) read more

I worked with Stephen at Battalion. I chose Battalion because of their quality roof inspection, thorough review of the project and detailed scope in the estimate . I also appreciated the educational materials that were sent with the estimate/proposal, allowing me to do more research on my own. (No other provider even came close in the pre-sale experience.) Stephen suggested both a mid-price and high-price per my request and made excellent consultative suggestions on the pros/cons of each. They won me as a customer on the high-end and delivered the job in one day. Follow-up and formal completion of the project were top notch. Excellent service. Quality materials. Expert management. Practicing A+ service on every level. Thank you! read more

At the center of Stephen's operation is complete transparency. He's professional, kind, punctual, knowledgeable and communicates clearly. My family and I appreciate all the feedback and insight as to the work Stephen and his team completed. I love our new roof. And Stephen is prompt with follow ups or concerns after the fact - that's rare to see. Highly recommend. read more

Very pleased with the service I received. Quickly came out and provided me with a very thorough estimate. They were able to get me on the schedule for the date I wanted. There crew was on time, courteous, and did a great job! They cleaned up after themselves well, and Stephen made a point to come out and visit the job site to check on things himself, which I appreciated. Would highly recommend! read more

I made the mistake of picking a gutter color when my wife was not present. Stephen was great about changing the color the day before starting the job. Battalion's value was excellent. Battalion showed up on time and the crew did a great job! read more

Stephen is honest and trustworthy. After hail hit our neighborhood recently, I asked one of the roofers who was inspecting my neighbors' home to take a look at my roof. He insisted it was a total loss and needed to be replaced right away. When Stephen at Battalion took a look, he gave a more measured, reasonable response, saying that there are signs of hail damage, but they aren't that severe, and I could stand to wait a year or two if I wanted. I've chosen not to replace the roof for now -- but if/when I do in the future, Battalion will be the first place I call because I appreciate their honesty. read more

Highly recommend this roofing company. We had many issues with our roof shortly after moving into our new home. There were quite a few leaks. Our roof is very slanted as well so we were worried we wouldn't be able to get a thorough fix of everything. However Stephen and his team did a great job. They were all punctual, thorough and extremely helpful. We had spoken to several other roofing companies before going with Battalion and I'm glad we did. We had one small leak after all the roofing work was completed and Stephen came out to check on it immediately and was able to fix the issue and we haven't had any issues since then. For reference we had the majority of our roofing work completed in December 2018, and the quick fix to the minor leak in Jan 2019. Thanks again Stephen! read more

Had entire roof of house and a garage apartment replaced about 2 months ago. So far so good with the roof itself. After getting 5 contractors bids I chose Stephen bc of Yelp reviews, timely responses to questions and start dates, and he was clearly invested in delivering a good product/service at a fair price. Unlike most other roofing companies that send high pressure sales persons out to bid, Stephen himself came out and I didn't feel pressured. I also had a pre-existing issue that I thought getting a new roof would fix, but turned out to be unrelated to the roof, and Stephen was able to assist in fixing the problem. Go with Battalion if you want quality workmanship and even better customer service (before and after). read more

Stephen is very good and honest. We really appreciate his help in figure out issues with the roof. I got so many quotes in the hundreds of dollars for all kinds of things to fix and he explains what all the issues were and tell us what needs to be done and give us a price that is way much lower. I am so happy that we found his service and definitely will recommends to friends and neighbors. read more

My new roof is gorgeous! Stephen was professional and prompt. The clean up was complete and they left no mess behind. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a roofer. Use them and you will get a quality roof that will last and last! read more

I highly recommend Battalion Roofing. In addition to the roof, my job had two complications: 1) I wanted to use an uncommon reflective shingle and 2) I wanted to slightly change the elevation of the front of the home. Stephen was able to get samples of the shingles for us to evaluate (from two different vendors, special order) and manage the carpentry work alongside the roofing work. I also liked that Stephen was very responsive via email and text. read more

I had my roof and gutters replaced. Stephen was upfront from the quote all the way to the end. Very responsive to questions and when it comes down to scheduling. I think they deliver a great value and service. Stephen was there to help kick off the job and checked it when it's completed. He was involved throughout the whole process. I highly recommend Battalion to anyone looking to get work done on their roof. read more

We had our gutters replaced and our experience with Battalion was great all the way through. Stephen was responsive, patient with explaining options as well as technical details, and knowledgeable. The crew also did a great job; the gutters look well done and they cleaned up everything upon leaving. We're very happy with how smooth the whole process was and the end result. Definitely recommend! read more

Sunday afternoon I noticed that a wind-blown tree branch had rubbed a hole through my roof. 100% chance of rain on Monday. I called Battalion Monday morning at 7:30am, left a message, and Stephen called me back before 8am. He said he would meet me at my house in 15 minutes, and he did. He made a call and arranged for his worker to come by at noon that day. At 11am that morning, I got a call from Stephen that the worker and he were able to come back earlier than expected, and the repair already been completed. Cannot ask for better service than that. Highly recommend. read more

My experience with this company and Stephen was great! He came out quickly and inspected the roof. Although the problem turned out to be minor, he took the time to explain everything to me and ensure I understood. He was always on time and very kind. Stephen replied to my request quickly and set up an appointment for the next day to look at our roof. We received a great quote and two days later they were here. We were recommended by two people in our area that used Battalion Roofing Houston and we were very pleased! Stephen, the owner, came to measure and give an estimate within days of contacting him. Then the following week in a few hours they got the job done! Highly recommend! read more

I had Stephen come out to potentially replace gutters that had been reinstalled after I had siding replaced on the house and they needed to be taken down and put back up. After the siding project, they never functioned as well. Stephen quickly identified issues and solutions that were cheaper than replacing everything. He even came back separately to do some final adjustments. Great company and customer service. read more

Stephen is very knowledgeable about roofing needs. His crew came in and installed a cricket for my chimney as well as repaired the flashing. We needed some additional gutters and he gave good recommendations where other roofers bids where for additional gutters that were not really needed. I would definitely come back if additional work was needed. read more

After calling Battalion for an estimate, based on their online positive reviews, Stephen came out and in detail, went over everything we needed to tear off and install on a new roof. Since we felt very comfortable with him, especially being the owner, and the price he quoted, knowing that we were working with our insurance company, we scheduled the job. His crew showed up on time, worked at a steady pace and completed it in a day, as promised. I'd use them again (hopefully not for another 20 years, ha) and would recommend them as well. Thanks for a job well done, Stephen! read more

I am very satisfied with the repairs and highly recommending battalion roofing Houston

Stephen was prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and very honest. Although this time our issue ended up being very minor (nothing wrong with roof itself, it was a design flaw from the builder), I can guarantee you we will call him for any of our roofing needs. read more

From the first contact with Stephen of Battalion roofing it has been a great experience. He was very prompt to respond and arranged to come see the job the next day. He gave a very well prepared detailed quote the following day and was very competitive with his pricing. His team came out on the Saturday morning to replace the gutters on the house and install on the sides of the house where there was none previously. Steve even came to ensure everything was completed satisfactory... and it definitely was. Very professional and high quality service. Highly recommend if you are looking for a worry free experience. read more

I contacted Battalion roofing after Hurricane Harvey. Stephen came out right away, gave us a fair estimate, and was incredibly helpful through the whole process. I knew nothing about insurance claims. He walked me through what I had to do and worked with TWIA to get me MORE than they originally though we should get. The roof was done beautifully in one day. The crew was polite, efficient, and hard working. When they left the place was cleaned completely. read more
