(he was almost half the price of a big roofing company and their quote was not transparent; he couldn't help us determine why it was so high either.. it didn't add up!) His quote for gutters and mesh guards is the best we've received also. He made us feel like part of the family from the moment we met. We had a boot replaced and they couldn't get to us with all the rain delays. He came out and covered the boot to prevent more leaking inside, and then he along with a crew member came out on a Saturday morning to replace the boot. The evening before the project, Stephen met the materials delivery to ensure the pallets were placed in the best position for the next day's work. The next morning Stephen and his crew arrived precisely on time. They tarped two-sides of our two and one-half story stucco home to protect it as well as laid protective sheeting on our landscaping. Then they immediately began removing the old shingles. His crew is a well-oiled machine. One crew member continuously walked the grounds picking up debris. Both of my neighbors were notified, and they both remarked how clean the project site was kept. We needed to replace our aging roof and requested quotes from 4 different roofing contractors. After meeting with everyone, we narrowed it down to 2 contractors who we felt offered competitive but reasonable quotes and who were knowledgeable and honest. At the end of the day, Stephen was our pick due to his bedside manner, attention to detail, and his working knowledge of roofs. Completely replaced our roof in one day but more than that designed a better performing (for thermal purposes) roof set-up without unnecessary vents, etc that other roofers were trying to push. Stephen is honest and trustworthy. After hail hit our neighborhood recently, I asked one of the roofers who was inspecting my neighbors' home to take a look at my roof. He insisted it was a total loss and needed to be replaced right away. When Stephen at Battalion took a look, he gave a more measured, reasonable response, saying that there are signs of hail damage, but they aren't that severe, and I could stand to wait a year or two if I wanted. Highly recommend this roofing company. We had many issues with our roof shortly after moving into our new home. There were quite a few leaks. Our roof is very slanted as well so we were worried we wouldn't be able to get a thorough fix of everything. However Stephen and his team did a great job. Sunday afternoon I noticed that a wind-blown tree branch had rubbed a hole through my roof. 100% chance of rain on Monday. I called Battalion Monday morning at 7:30am, left a message, and Stephen called me back before 8am. He said he would meet me at my house in 15 minutes, and he did. He made a call and arranged for his worker to come by at noon that day.
