Mixed bag. We bid Majestic and another company for new retractable awning material and they came in at $200 less than the other company. So they are very worth trying if you're comparing prices between a few companies. Around the promised delivery date I got a call one random afternoon from a driver saying he wants to come over to install my awning. No call to schedule an appointment, just, hey can I come over in an hour. I was home. It worked. Odd, but whatever. However, some weeks after the installation the motor suddenly stopped retracting. Left one voice message asking to schedule a repair. No call back. Called again, spoke with someone who for whatever screwy internal reason said someone else would call back to set up an appointment. Still waiting for that call. Another company came and did a quick adjustment for $10. So Majestic is worth calling for a competitive price, but best of luck in getting someone to actually call back to schedule that appointment. read more

2 years ago when Covid was causing so much stress Matt helped me to get the blinds I wanted up in house before summer. He advised me on choices but did not push me one way or the other. I met with Todd Kinder in regards to a retractable awning for my back yard. I was content to get a manual crank out version; however he insisted I go with the motorized unit which was an increase in price I did not have budgeted. He told me the benefits of the motorized unit and how the wind sensor would automatically retract it if I forgot to crank it in one night. After much consideration, we went with the motor and the extra expense. The very FIRST night we had it installed, we were lying in bed than all of a sudden we heard the motor running. I looked up and realized I did not crank it in and the wind sensor triggered the unit to retract. If Todd had not detailed all of the benefits, my new awning would have blown away. Contacted Majestic Shutters to come out and take out slider shutters they installed 6 years ago, as I was doing Tile work and wanted the shutters taken out and reset properly. Spoke with Karla and she was very helpful, however upon their arrival there was a miscommunication with the work that needed to be completed. Instead of attempting to make the adjustment and come back another day or come up with an alternative, Matt the co-owner was called and was extremely rude and disrespectful and made various excuses, instead of attempting to get the job done. Very unprofessional and rude. We sent the workers on their way and will never call or recommend this company to anyone. There were so many ways to handle the situation, instead Matt proceeded to be annoyed with the fact situations come up and additional work was needed. read more

Majestic installed our shutters and blinds when our home was built in 2009. Several years later we used them again for a large, retractable awning to shade the west facing patio. Yesterday when I pulled the living room shade up, the cord pull broke. I phoned Matt at Majestic who immediately understood the issue and offered to send someone to fix it. Getting more window coverings for my second home in the valley, this one is in Bighorn Country Club. I had such a wonderful experience with Todd the first time around, that I am using him, and his company again! My second home will be coming with wood and vinyl shutters, three awnings, motorized exterior solar shades, and a few blinds for my bathtub windows. THIS is a high quality company, and again, they had no problem setting me up with a Saturday appointment. Their showroom has been updated and as I stand here all I can say is "Wow". This is a company that is no BS and treat you exactly like they are putting the window coverings up in their own home. I was looking at getting four motorized awnings, but they told me that there is no need for me to waste my money on the extra awning when they can make my larger of the three, cover the area that I was concerned about. So instead of just lying and saying "Okay we will do four awnings.", and pocketing the money, they actually SAVED me money. What other company out there can you find out there that would do that? We are finishing crunching the numbers now and it is already coming out to way less than I expected. I am looking forward to having all these new window coverings installed in my new home. And, by the way, we are still enjoying the window coverings at our other home in Del Webb, and have had no problems whatsoever. I can't wait to have these installed! read more

Don't use Majestic unless you enjoy being disrespected and having your precious time wasted! I called Majestic with hopes of having them come and do repairs on shutters that were in a home we recently bought. One the phone the rep told me "UNLIMITED REPAIRS" of shutters would be $150, including all new pins and rods that were broken. I told her We also need some shutters shortened by 1/2" to accommodate out new flooring and drywall. No problem she said, and that would be included. I waited over a week and a half to have their repair guy show up and scoff at what I needed done, and say he didn't have the needed tools to cut the blinds with him...the blinds would need to go to the shop, not today but next week, and that the cuts were $25 per panel...and that is not considered a "repair" but an "installation" so it would be a lot more. I have the tools, but he wouldn't use mine. Obviously the rep on the phone didn't listen to what I said I needed done. Somehow there was a miscommunication. I could have had him stay and do just the pin repairs but he was so rude and accusatory I said "No thanks!" to him and quickly showed him the door! My husband said I was very patient and that he would have sent him out much faster. I know this does make everyone at Majestic Shutters unprofessional, but their installers hostile attitude just cost that company thousands of my intended business. The repairs were just the beginning...I'd planned to order all my screens and remote controlled outdoor blinds from them. I'll be looking elsewhere now! read more

I wish I could say I would use Majestic Shutters again but I can't. I wish I could say that Majestic Shutters did a quality job but I can't. I wish I could say Majestic Shutters believes in satisfying their customer but I can't. Let me tell you why. We ordered two new outdoor shade fabrics. On installation date, shade for living room went in without a problem but shade for bedroom window didn't fit at it was about a foot too large. I was told not to worry as supplier would pick up the shade fabric the next day, resize it and bring it back the day after. Two days after initial installation, Majestic called UPS or FED EX to pick the shade up and ship it to the supplier about 80 miles away. The shade was returned about 4 days later and was installed. Majestic turned on the shade once and it came down but my realtor told me it looked loose. My realtor called a few days later after showing a potential reenter the house because the shade would not come down. The following week Majestic stopped by the house and met my realtor. My realtor had to operate the inside control button while the Majestic rep pulled the shade down. The Majestic did some adjustments and said all was fine. I drove the 120 miles to my house to check on this shade. As we leave it now, we only raise the shade about 90% so it will not catch up. By the way Majestic charged me $150.00 to come out to adjust the shade because they blamed the problem on the bottom rung and poor maintenance on the original shade which had worked for years without any problem. In other words, anything or anybody except their workmanship in measuring the original shade or giving information to the supplier or their sad attempt at the installation. Again I wish I could recommend Majestic Shutter or Indio but I can't and I won't. read more
