Crunchiado roll is officially my favorite roll here- avocado with crunchy tempura flakes makes for the perfect combination of crunchiness and smooth avocado texture and flavor. California roll is always my go-to for sushi cravings, and theirs is made very well with quality ingredients. I appreciate that they do not skimp on the avocado slice like other places do (can you tell I'm partial to avo?) I like how you can order roll "sets" of 1, 1.5, or 2. don't quote me on exact numbers, but for example, if you order 1, you get six rolls if you order 1.5 you get nine rolls if you order 2 you get 12 rolls, etc.. . Rice ratios are perfectly balanced. They do not over- stuff with rice. As for service, I ordered online for pick up. Rolls were ready very quickly. I can't really comment on ambience since I sent daughter to retrieve food and I did not have opportunity to dine there. Pricing was excellent. Compared to sushi rolls you get at Kroger, buying here is actually cheaper! As far as quality, I would prefer purchasing from here versus Kroger. Next time I'm in Bloomington and I'm craving rolls, will for sure order from Maje! read more

Got several rolls through DD and was delivered in a timely manner. The seaweed salad was decent, good portion for one. The 'real crab' roll was good, would have been great if it had spicy mayo instead of regular mayo. The other rolls were good, nothing stood out as a wow factor. read more

Late arrival. Party of 12. Yes, 12. Great sushi, good variety. Serviced our group quickly with good sushi. Has sashimi, and interesting sides, like seaweed salads and the like. Not gruesomely expensive. Good quality ingredients, not slopped together. Fresh and tasty because of the ingredients and detail. Their sauces are also tasty and fresh. We wondered why we'd not been there before; it's across from Tres Amigos. Parking is usually OK. They handled our crowd, just two of them, quickly and with a smile. Their beverages are in a nearby pair of fridges; all of us found what we wanted. Counter service, with a smile. read more

Moving to Indiana from California, I am always dubious of the sushi. I have a favorite sushi place near the Indy airport, and now I have a favorite sushi place just blocks from my house in Bloomington. Thank you Majé! Ordered lunch to go today for the first time. We ordered Rainbow Roll, California Plus Roll, Inari Roll and Hoosier Roll. We especially appreciated that they are honest about fake crab. So many sushi places do not mention that it is fake crab meat on their menu. All of the rolls were delicious. The flavor was good and the fish was fresh. The rolls themselves could have been a bit more neat and rolled a bit tighter, but for Midwest sushi we thought it was good. They give you a good amount of wasabi and ginger with your order too, which is nice. We will definitely be ordering again. read more

Majé Sushi - Four good rolls. Left to right: Hoosier Roll, California Plus Roll, Rainbow Roll and Inari Roll. - Sushi Bars Near Me - Bloomington, Indiana

Just meh. The rolls lacked pizzazz or zip. They were very bland and very loosely rolled. They fell apart when grabbing them with chopsticks. The salmon filet was pulled out of a freezer, and then i heard the beeping of a microwave to defrost it. I guess that's what you might expect in the middle of Indiana. We get better sushi back home in the middle of nowhere, Arizona. read more

Majé Sushi - Dynamite Roll Grilled Eel Roll Alaskan Philly Roll - Sushi Bars Near Me - Bloomington, Indiana

I got a caterpillar plus roll and a California roll. California roll was good, exactly what you would expect so I was happy with that. But the Caterpillar plus roll was crazy good. I was very suspicious of it at first because it had some sauce on top of it, but after eating the whole thing in about 2 minutes I can safely say that the sauce is good and the whole roll is even better. The service was good and price was even better, only spent $20. Will be going back. read more

The inari roll is NOT inari, but some mishmash of seaweed and rice with the tofu sliced up and in the center. I ordered it because I expected a sweet little tofu bag of vinegared rice, and I dislike seaweed, so this was a big disappointment! I stayed positive because it was my friends very first time trying sushi, but totally unhappy. We should have found s little more upscale place. This spot feels like it belongs in a mall food court or airport. For the quality, the prices are too high. read more

sushi was good, but they do not know how to rap and cut the rolls. Every time I used the chop sticks to pick up my roll it would fall apart from the bottom. I also had to use a knife to cut the roll myself. Extremely frustrating!!!!! read more

Ordered the orange dragon roll, which had a lil bit too much cream cheese making it too sweet for my liking, but still really good! The maje sauce is delicious. The edemame was a little on the salty side as well, but this spot is conveniently located and made ordering carryout so easy, I will definitely be back to hone in some of my favorite items. read more

Sushi was fantastic. Not a sit down restaurant but an order at the counter type. They did have some tables to sit at in eat. Restaurant was clean and they make the sushi right where you can see it. read more

I love Maje sushi. It's the best sushi place in town, in my opinion. I order from here about twice a month. I love to order their sushi on Grubhub. It's usually done in about 10-20 minutes. I just walk in and quickly grab my order off the counter since I paid on grubhub! It's so simple! I always order the orange dragon roll and the red dragon roll. It's tasty and fresh! They are always friendly, and the restaurant always looks so clean. I highly recommend this place! read more

Take away place with a couple of tables, self service. Sushi good, I'd go back, but I will be more careful ordering- I got enough for two meals without realizing how that happened! No worries though- just had sushi for lunch and dinner that day- what a tragedy read more

I went to Maje again today! It was phenomenal. The food was quick and everything was spread out to ensure safety. The tables and chairs were put away and they made sure to limit the amount of socialization and contact. read more

Maje makes good sushi that is fresh, clean, and tasty; I have come here multiple times and the quality is consistent. I prefer simple sushi--nothing fried, no cream cheese, no thick sauces. They do offer that stuff, but they also do basic sushi well. It's fresh, clean, and tasty. This is the only sushi in Indiana I've wanted to eat again. read more

Okay so I love this place and always go there first for sushi, but I just walked in and both sushi chefs were making rolls without masks or gloves on. This honestly made me really uncomfortable considering the signs all over the restaurant asking that customers keep social distance and wear masks. Definitely concerning and something that makes me question wanting to order from Maje again read more

The sushi was phenomenal. The dragon roll is highly recommended. I'm glad I found this place as it is probably my new favorite sushi place in Bloomington. I received ample amounts of ginger and wasabi. I took off one star for the dining experience. Filthy tables on a quiet day. We ended up cleaning the sticky surfaces while staff watched. I also would have liked actual bottles of soy instead of tons of packets. Overall, the service was speedy and the food was delicious. I will return and update my review accordingly. read more

Delicious sushi at a very fair price! The place was very clean and nicely kept. The staff was kind and greeted us as we walked in. The sushi allowed you to customize it which was very nice for the novice sushi eaters in our group. Also, it was produced very fast which was nice. Overall, loved the sushi, the clean restaurant, the kind staff, and the speed it was made. read more

Really good sushi for Bloomington and at a good price. All the rolls I have had were really good. Very friendly employees as well!

Love this place for a quick and cheap sushi place! The Rock and Roll was fantastic! They focus on quick rolls that are still delicious. Tried them shortly after they opened and very glad to have a new place on this side of town that doesn't break the bank! read more

Very reasonably priced for good quality sushi. I love that not every roll is fried or slathered in spicy mayo. The one roll I had with spicy mayo was quite spicy though. Also liked that they offer rolls in multiple sizes. read more

Good sushi! Fair prices. It's kind of hit or miss. When it's good, it was the best I've ever had. I recommend the veggie roll with the peanut sauce even if you don't think it sounds good. The tempura roll is another favorite of mine. read more

We accidentally ordered the wrong sushi and they redid our order for free. Awesome customer service and even better sushi!

i love their veggie roll so much! I recommend trying it with the sweet chili sauce instead of the peanut sauce!

The best Sushi in BTown. I love it. I love Maje 101 rolls and 4 pieces of tuna nigiri. Freshly made and the sauce they used for sushi has very unique taste. I have bought Sushi from them about 3 to 4 times per week since they are open. It is very affordable and the service is quick. I am so impressed with their unique taste. This is My go-to place when my family comes down to visit me. I eat it after I work out since it has lots of proteins and good nutrition. Definitely worth giving a try. read more

Bloomington is a sushi desert - a corn-laden sushi desert where grocery store options consistently outshine the maki you can buy at our dedicated sushi restaurants. After eating some Maje delivery tonight, I think this place might be the exception to the Bloomington rule (curse). The fish is fresh, the maki are well-made & proportioned, and the specialty rolls aren't drowning in the usual trio of original sushi sin: sriracha, mayo, & eel sauce. read more

This was the best experience I've had ordering delivery. The order was all correct, showed up on time, and it was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be ordering from MAJÉ Sushi again soon. read more

I have been to Majé a couple times now and the sushi is great and the service is great! Always comes out quick and fresh!

Definitely not the best sushi in the world - not a fan of the mayo in the sushi. The rolls are loose and the rice isn't sticking together all that great. Presentation wise, they looked great! Delivery was quick as well. read more

Expensive for the quality, Kroger is better! Poorly rolled, small pieces, overly sauced spicy tuna and not enough rice in the Inari. D+
