After seeing how many items we ordered, they even gave us three free macarons which was such a sweet gesture! They also have super cute merchandise, such as keychains, and a cooler bag. Ladurée is definitely a must-visit for anyone who loves macarons and a charming, upscale atmosphere.

They also overcharge quite a lot and it cost us €26 for 8! Had better ones at Pierre Hermé. Vanilla - Simple and delicious! Would have loved to save this one for the end to end on the best note. Rose - really really good! Flavor was nice and perfect amount of sweetness. Probably my favorite among them all. Pistachio - I usually always love a pistachio macaron but this one was just normal. No wow factor or anything. Raspberry - I had High hopes for this one but the filling was like a raspberry jam and didn't go too well with the macaron shell. A bit too overpowering. Orange Blossom - subtle but delicious. Not too strong of an orange flavor, but it was really nice overall. Lemon - horrible! It was actually bitter like lemon zest. I needed water to wash down my mouth after this. Passion fruit - too tangy. It was possible but I would not buy this.

My husband went for their ham and cheese croissant and couldn't stop raving about how crispy and gooey it was. The staff was super friendly even though our French is terrible, and everything felt warm and welcoming. We ended up taking a few extra treats back to the hotel because we just couldn't resist. We were greeted warmly by pleasant staff & the gentleman helping us gave samples of small coconut cookies (I believe they were macaroons.) The prominently-displayed madeleines caught my eye, mainly the raspberry filled (2,70 €) with a bit of jam peeking through, as well as the pistachio flavor (2,20 €) with its unmistakeable green hue. The shell-shaped cakes were sweet & spongy, as to be expected, but not markedly special. A passable pick-me-up while we strolled hilly Montmartre, but after one try, I'm not in a rush to return.
