A friend and I stopped by here to grab some desserts on a Saturday morning just before 11 AM. The bakery was reasonably busy with people getting their daily breads. This location offered a wide variety of pastries as well as bread and coffee. My friend got an individual-sized fraisier (strawberry cake) and I got an individual-sized Jivara (chocolate ganache & praline tart). Both desserts were beautifully presented and packed in little cardboard boxes with handles for takeaway. My Jivara was very indulgent and rich, with a nice play of textures between the smooth ganache and the crispy praline & nuts. My friend really enjoyed her fraisier, which she said was light but delectable. The staff were efficient but a little curt, maybe just trying to get people in and out quickly. Maison Landemaine was our first stop on our way to Galerie Lafayette. It's located not far from Clichy and offers French bread, pastries, and espresso. There's a sign that specifically explains how to form a queue and how to enter and exit the queue so be mindful. The quality is really good. Don't be too fancy and don't expect to order a Latte Macchiato or a cold brew. It's either Expresso, Double Hot, Cafe Noire { Black Coffee } or Cafe au Lait. There's a not a lot of space to sit down but they do offer inside and outside seating. It's French and authentic. The service was pleasant and using an American credit card is no problem. Seeing all the other reviews, I'm guessing this place has only 3.5 stars because of poor service. But honestly, I must be one of the lucky ones because I had zero problems with this place! Anything you get here will not disappoint! My mom and I stayed a couple blocks from this place and went right at opening at 7:30am before our flight back to the US. I grabbed a dozen croissants and two baguettes to bring back with me to the US. With the lovely smell of freshly baked bread, I had to chow down two croissants before hitting the plane ride and man, they were delicious. Buttery, flaky, and doughy perfection! The baguette was slightly warm still, and had a nice light crisp on the outside, and a soft inside. Prices seemed reasonable for Paris dining! As for service, we were fortunate to have had an associate help us who spoke some English and was very friendly. I didn't feel pressured to ask for my order or make the payment. It's unfortunate some others have had poor experiences here, but I can't wait to come back next time I visit Paris! read more

A great bakery on the corner. Croissants are flaky & light. They didn't have sandwiches to sell at 10am but make them later. Very reasonable prices; I went back another day & got a formulae (a combo meal) of a slim sandwich, apricot tarte & a bottled juice for 8.5€ to go. Our hotel is very close to this establishment. We purchased mostly the croissants and they were delicious. The only issue that we had was the service. The guy working at the cash register (in the morning) gave us a hard time when we used our Visa credit card to pay. He gave us an attitude and told us the credit card machine would not process the payment. We didn't have this problem with the particular Visa card that we used throughout Paris. This was the only place in Paris that gave us this problem. I'm not sure if this employee has an issue with tourists or foreigners. He did ask me where I came from; suggesting he dislikes us to begin with. We had very positive experience with French people. Unfortunately, he was the only bad encounter that we had during our visit. This employee needs to be scolded. We later found out that there wasn't a problem with our credit card. On a different visit when another employee serviced us, we didn't have an issue with the same credit card that we used before. read more

I came here every morning for an espresso and pastry. Two of the women spoke English and didn't make me feel uncomfortable at all. They took their time helping me even with the very busy and rushed line they would have every morning. Very good priced and amazing bakery. When I visit Paris again I will stay at the same hotel and visit this coffee shop every morning and do it all over again. read more

I love this place! It was right down the street from my hotel R De Paris and once I discovered this bakery I ate here every morning for breakfast. The brioche is superb-light buttery deliciousness. We went to the Rue de Clichy locale completely by chance and fell in love with the place. We had a type of pizzas that are baked in soft bread that were beyond amazing. Our parents had a vegetarian one covered in ripe, juicy tomatoes, and I had one with mozarella, bacon and sauteed onions. It was perfection. Mom had a coffee she raved about and the sweets, oh, the sweets! The macarons were lovely, but none more than mine. A wonderful macaron, with a soft, subtle vanilla creme, and fresh raspberries. Even if everything else in our trip to Paris failed to impress, these treats would have made the trip worth it. read more

Bottles of water helped, but the real kicker were the popsicles in the cooler near the door. I've searched their website, but can't seem to come up with their actual name.
