A great place to take some lessons in how to make some delicious French baked goods. There's apparently also a cafe, but I didn't make it in.
On my last trip to Paris I was searching for some out of the ordinary experiences and I found the baking lessons at Maiso Fleuret.
I went for the Macaron making class but they also had croissant classes and more.
The pastry chefs were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful and walked us through not only the steps but also some of the science and background of it. We even got a copy of the recipes sent to us after, although it did seem a little bit different from what we used.
We got to pick our colors, flavors, and even experiment with some of the leftovers. I picked blue with a raspberry ganache and they came out absolutely delicious.
It was a drip hard to find as we entered through the side door through a locked courtyard, but it worked out. There were two decently sized rooms for the classes, and everything was super quaint and clean and fun.
If you're looking for something outside of the usual, definitely swing by for a class or two! read more
