Dan has given me two beautiful manicures now. I've included photos below. I've been experimenting with floral nails for my wedding. Both times I gave him a photo and he just made it happen. The second time (the lilies) the photo was ai generated and I said he didn't need to match the picture perfectly. He did SUCH a lovely job, though, and really got the spirit of the picture. Dan is incredibly calm and patient and was able to handle my sometimes challenging cuticles without any issues. I would happily get more manicures from him. I also received a pedicure from Anne the first time I went in which was relaxing and looks lovely. The shop is calm and pleasant. Parking is easy. It was very affordable. read more

I came here to try a new nail salon instead of my usual spot, and sadly I was disappointed. I got a gel overlay on July 24th. Unfortunately, one of my nails broke on Monday night, and I didn't have time to come back until Thursday to get it fixed. I do appreciate that they fixed it for free and got me in and out quickly. However, the repaired nail didn't match the rest of my nails. Ironically, I actually liked the color they used on the repaired nail more than the original nail bed color they had applied. Another thing I noticed both times I came was that I felt a little rushed. At my regular salon, they take their time and really pay attention to the small details, like making sure every nail is shaped consistently and everything looks even before I leave. That's something that's really important to me, and I just didn't get that same experience here. Now it's only been about two weeks, and I'm already noticing issues. I normally get my nails done every two weeks, but they usually still look great by then. At my regular salon, they easily last four weeks without breaking. Between the durability, the shape, and the overall quality, it just wasn't what I'm used to. I'm very picky about my nails, and I'd rather pay around $100 knowing I'm going to love them and that they'll last. I came here hoping to try a new place and save a little money, but unfortunately it just didn't work out for me. I do appreciate that they fixed my broken nail at no charge, but I won't be coming back. I'll be sticking with my usual nail salon from now on. This place was previously Happy Garden and we loved going there because it felt very personal. It wasn't like the newer, more upscale nail salons in the area -- it had a warm and familiar feel, and it was always the same three ladies working and they had a cute dog walking around which my daughter sets this salon apart from the other ones, everything just made it special to us. I'm honestly a bit sad to see the rebrand and all the changes. I had an appointment scheduled for 3:30 PM, but unfortunately had to leave at 4 PM without getting my nails done because of the long wait just to be seated, and I had dinner reservations that evening. read more

I decided to come back the following week for the facial, and I'm so grateful I did! I am genuinely so happy with the results. Small shop with affordable prices. I came last week when they were having their 20% off promo. I got a gel-x manicure, half chrome with polka dots and half cat eye with polka dots. The owner did my nails and he was very patient with me, I couldn't decide if I wanted to do the same design for both hands, so he painted test fingers with a cat eye and the chrome powder. They are a little short staffed, the owner stepped away to fill the foot bath for a pedicure for another guest. I would come here again to get a mani or pedicure, but I would ask for the owner if I wanted nail designs. read more

Today was the last time I'll be a customer at Maison De Nails. I texted Dan saying I just wanted to come in for a builder gel removal that I got done here a month ago. Amy was my nail tech. She kept trying to pressure me into getting a manicure service while I was there. She kept telling me how paper thin my nails are and that she "recommends" that I get a gel manicure. It took all of 15 minutes to remove the builder gel and it cost me $20! She trimmed my nails down and they are all uneven and one even broke! I recently came here for a gel manicure/pedicure. I booked online and it was easy to get a time slot. The website is a bit confusing as it doesn't confirm which services were requested if you choose more than 1. When I arrived, I was able to confirm both services and was helped right away. Both of the ladies who helped me were very nice. They asked for my preferences, but left me to relax and enjoy the time there. I was offered a drink and snacks as well. While the ladies were nice and friendly - the quality of service was somewhat lacking. My pedicurist was very intent on making sure my toes were clean - so much so that I was cut in a few places. I noticed that it stung while I was there, but didn't realize I was cut until I noticed it pink at home. She also kept placing the lamp edge on my nails and leaving marks that needed to be fix by someone else later. My manicurist did a great job cleaning up my nails/cuticles, but the shaping/polish left a lot to be desired. There were dents in almost all of my nails where the brush was pressed a bit too hard. Overall - it was a relaxing experience for when I was there, but I'm looking for something. read more

I recently moved to west San Jose and needed to get a new nail tech since my old one moved away. I've gotten my nails done here twice acrylic sets twice as well as two gel pedicures. The first time I had my nails done was before the new managament took over, it was a younger female with a bad impatient attitude and my nails didn't last. I came back and DAN fixed my nails and did a great job. He did my nails the next time too and I love them! He is professional and patient. No issues with my gel pedicures they are always great. I like this nail salon better after the new management came in. If you are coming during the weekend I recommend coming early or calling ahead of time to set an appointment or check on wait time. read more

PLEASE don't come here for acrylic nails their prices are crazyyy charging over 100$ for acrylic nails when they don't even look that good and also yelling at us when we called asking why it was so much and she started yelling "she took an hour on your nails so the price is good" NO that right there is bad service already where i go my nail tech always takes over an hour to do my nails and not once has she ever complained and MY NAILS WERE 90$ and look way better then the 105$ these lady's are funny and a joke. read more

Yesterday I had a pedicure. The service was good and the price, $35 for the Basic Pedicure was good. My problem is there was an undisclosed 3% Fee on the charge. They have an electronic terminal and with my debit card tap it rang up the total of $46.05 after including a generous 28.6% tip of $10. So you can see I am OK with rewarding good work. What I object to is undisclosed fees. Had I not opted for a printed receipt at the shop, I'd probably would of missed it. Thus what could have been a 5 star review is a 1 star. Any establishment that includes undisclosed fees in your charge is not going to be a place I ever return to. Be aware of this dishonest practice. read more

I have gone here a few times over the last year and the ladies are nice and do a decent job. I went in for a fill yesterday and the owner was the only person available. I asked for the length to be filed down and have a natural shape. She proceeded to chop off my nails to the skin and then file them all crooked. I came back today because my fingertip skin is raw and red, one is cut all the way through. I went in to ask if they can redo my nails. The owner raised her voice at me and said I should have said something yesterday and she won't redo my nails. I showed her how ugly and uneven all of my nails are and that she injured me, but she still said it's my fault. I told her I want my money back. She very rudely went to the desk and threw cash at me. This place is a gem I found when I was in the area for another appointment. They are fast, good quality, gave me Vietnamese tea and a snack, had a cute dog named Winnie, and provided a great little foot massage with the pedicure. I walked in with no polish on my fingers and regular old polish on my toes and I was in and out in under 90 minutes. Very impressed with them and their customer service. Pricing is really good, too!
